Regarding how we handle threads, any topic on the forum that hits the 10,000 post mark gets closed, without exception, and then we just start a fresh one if people are still interested. It doesn't really matter who originally started the thread—we just put a link to the old one in the very first post of the new one and call it a day. c/p Tyndall.
I suspect they might let this one run until it hits 200k posts before locking it down. I mean, it would be pretty silly to shut a thread down when it's only 50 posts away from hitting 200 THOUSAND.
Whenever I catch a cold and my nose gets all stuffed up, I get that same feeling where it hurts just to move my eyes... I guess the only real cure is just waiting it out and trying to clear my sinuses. For me, it usually drags on for a few days before things finally settle down. It’s kind of like that—when a cold hits, it hits, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. I suspect it might be a sinus issue, but honestly, maybe I should probably head to the doctor just to be safe; I really don't want to mess anything up.
That outburst was directed at whoever you said keeps deleting your threads and posts; even if you didn't drop a specific name, it's pretty clear who you were aiming at.
I wouldn't worry too much about it—you aren't actually banned. You just lost 45 points, and honestly, it could have been a whole lot worse. 🙂

😁
People can see me because I'm a fan of green. 😁
And honestly, what can people actually figure out about me just from that little status light? Like, when I'm hanging out on the forum? I don't think I'm ever online at the same time as anyone else anyway.

Every single day there's a new thread asking to "add this feature" or "change that setting." 🤷
Honestly, I like the forum just the way it is—if it weren't like this, it wouldn't be what it is. ☕
I figured you'd say something like that. ☕
I guess it's easy for you to stay happy when you don't have to deal with moving messages around or cleaning up threads since you aren't quite as high-profile as I am. ☕ 😁
I was wondering if the moderators, supermods, or admins might be able to look into increasing the private message limit for regular users?
It feels to me like having a cap of 75 messages is a bit tight, especially since I've heard you guys on the mod team can receive up to 300. Maybe we could at least bump the limit up to 100 for everyone else? It might help a lot.
What do you all think? I'd love to hear from the rest of the community.
Honestly, why does it even matter how other people choose to write? If they aren't looking for corrections, I don't see much point in stepping in to fix their grammar or spelling, right? I mean, where's the rule against someone intentionally using a typo or a different character just because they feel like it?
It feels like this thread was started by some teenager at 1:00 AM who’s probably had a few too many drinks. The whole topic seems pretty pointless to me, so maybe we should just lock this thread.
Can you see the picture in this link? Well, instead of posting the link itself to the forum, maybe try right-clicking on the actual image and then selecting View Image. That should give you a new link up there which is the real one. Then, you just copy that link and paste it into Insert Image and you're all set.

I guess when you were a teenager, you probably wished people would just hit the like button on your posts like they do on Facebook, but I suppose that’s just not how things work here.
