Kobe is only human, and he feels fatigue just like the rest of us. Every single game could easily be a trap for an over bet; I’d personally rather wait for him to go 1-2 on the under before I start chasing those overs. He just can't be that incredible every single night.
Casey White13 said:Yeah, Love really closed out that quarter with some serious momentum. Seven points in a row—pretty impressive. 🙏 Just nine more to go. Johnson was excellent on the other side, and Iguodala managed to pull through. It’s going to be an uphill battle for Atlanta to pull this one off—honestly, a massive long shot.
😁 The odds were sitting at 7 when they were trailing by 18. Well done, boys.

Objectively, the Lakers are a class—maybe even two classes—above them. However, the Cavs are coming in riding high from yesterday's road win; sure, they might be more fatigued than the Lakers, but these are pros used to this kind of grind. Kobe is bound to get at least half an hour, which is plenty of time to clear 28 points. Looking at the last three Lakers games, it’s clear the offense is heavily centered around him; the rest of the roster really only scores when he's on the floor or setting them up. I'm taking Kobe over 28, though I'll keep the stake a bit lower. Just be careful with those point spreads.
Final score 92-97, Lakers take it, Kobe hits 40+ It played out exactly how I anticipated. Honestly, without Kobe, I suspect the Lakers would have been blown out by 15 by the Heat.

I don't think we'll see anything from the Suns either—it turned into a total disaster. I was planning on parlaying the Pacers and Chicago for a bigger payout, but I completely miscalculated. 🙂
I’m just sitting tight, waiting on Chicago, Under Sun, and Orleans to deliver on those potatoes 🤣 I did mention the Pacers would pull through, so there was really no need to worry 😉
It’s honestly a bit draining watching this commentator on ESPN. He keeps interrupting everyone and even seems to be arguing with himself—he even gave Rhonda this sarcastic little wink after she lost her cool over the officiating. It’s giving me quite a headache.

Honestly, what is wrong with everyone? They’re already giving up after a four-point lead, even though there’s still an entire fourth quarter left and three minutes remaining in the third. 🤷

He wasn't actually ejected; the coach pulled him early to prevent him from picking up another technical foul. If he hit six, he’d be tossed for good. My gut tells me Boston is finished here, and Chicago is just looking to recycle his contract.
I honestly think Cleveland is being overlooked here, both by the oddsmakers and by this community. While the Lakers are objectively a class—maybe even two classes—above them, the Cavs are coming in with massive momentum after yesterday's road win. Sure, they might be a bit more fatigued than LA, but these guys are pros used to this kind of grind. I expect Kobe to get at least thirty minutes of action, which should be more than enough to clear his line. Looking back at the last three Lakers games, it’s pretty obvious the offense is being forced through him; everyone else seems to score only when he's on the floor or setting them up. I'm leaning towards taking the over on Kobe's points, though I'll keep the stake a bit lower. Just be careful with those spreads.
Of course I take the contrarian bet at +10.5 against the New York Knicks, only for them to lose by exactly 11 points🙂. Well, at least my main parlay is still alive🎉
I don't see the Knicks losing by more than 10 tonight, so I've paired them with Phoenix under. On my second slip, I'm taking Orlando over 188 along with Barca.
I suppose when things aren't meant to happen, they just don't. Yesterday, Miami blew them out by 17, and today, even overtime wasn't enough for the Lakers to crack 93. They really could have pushed through if they'd just found 12 points in that final quarter—imagine if they’d dropped 12 in five minutes of OT instead. Kobe had 40, but the rest of the squad combined for only 50. 🙂
If Rose stays off the court, I don't see Chicago covering the spread. We've seen this pattern before—either he sits out entirely or plays through an injury just to end up sidelined for thirty plus minutes later on. 😁
In the end, I decided to go with the Kobe over, the Lakers over, and Oklahoma. Anyone who caught the Lakers game last night knows why I’m backing Kobe—the guy is playing out of his mind. His shooting, his footwork, the sheer talent... he's basically carrying the whole squad on his back right now. Utah tends to give up about 90 points at home, so I think the Lakers can easily hit 94 if they find a little extra motivation. I added Oklahoma because they're the higher-quality team and should handle New Orleans easily, though I have a nagging feeling they might be the reason I regret this later. Good luck to everyone.
