JPMorgan Chase: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
The NHB mobile app is seriously lacking compared to what other banks are offering right now.
It’s honestly kind of a disaster.

Adam Taylor4 said:The Mayor was recently getting all teary-eyed about how much of a massive drain on the budget those street flags have become, and sure enough, I can see they’ve been scaled back to the absolute bare minimum. My personal feelings on the budget cuts aside, I’ve noticed that in certain spots, they’ve left some flags up and are even swapping them out for fresh ones—both the national and the local versions. However, I can't help but point out that suddenly, they’re being hung upside down, both the state and city flags. I honestly can't tell if the crew responsible for hanging them has changed (and if so, why?) or if everyone is just oblivious, because nobody seems to be saying anything about it.

I remember when Bloomberg first started with the flag displays; we had similar growing pains at the beginning, likely because the crew just didn't know the proper protocol, but things were sorted out pretty quickly. Just as a rule of thumb, if you're hanging a flag vertically, the blue field should be right against the pole. These folks seem hell-bent on putting the red side next to the pole instead; if you were to hang the flag upside down in the USA, you'd definitely hear about it.

I suppose if they're going to go through the trouble of reducing the total number of flags, they could at least ensure the few that remain are displayed correctly so we don't end up looking like amateurs.

I think you've got that wrong; the pole isn't the deciding factor. Honestly, even back in the Bloomberg days, nobody ever really learned how to do it properly, and it seems like they still haven't figured it out today.
According to the Flag Act, this is how street flags are supposed to be displayed:

Article 13.

If the flag of the Republic of America is displayed over a street or a square in a vertical position, then the red color of the flag shall be located on:
The North Side – if the street runs east-west;
The East Side – if the street runs north-south;
The East Side Circle Square.

Sam Wright21 said:It’s no secret that these issues didn't just appear overnight, yet there was more than enough time to actually fix them. How on earth can anyone argue that a single term isn't sufficient? If you listen to the implication behind the claim that one mandate isn't enough, it essentially admits that the current administration is utterly incompetent—leaving us to stare down the barrel of a total systemic collapse.

What exactly is our priority here—investing in an electric vehicle fleet or just getting twenty-five trucks on the road for the Department of Sanitation? If we are facing a labor shortage, the solution isn't some flashy technological pivot; it’s basic management. You raise wages, you improve working conditions, and you start recruiting new staff immediately to fill those gaps.

But honestly, how are you supposed to raise wages when you've got certain companies sitting on too many employees? Cutting staff costs money too, and it's not like you can just snap your fingers and shift that cash over to other departments. Plus, you've still got plenty of firms struggling because they lack workers or even the basic tools and supplies to get the job done.
I wonder why the unions aren't pointing fingers at who actually caused this mess. Maybe they should go after the Bloomberg crowd, the Republican Party, and their buddies who were busy treating the Banditos like gods.

And now, everyone's freaking out because it looks like the Boston Celtics might actually fold. They burned through the cash before the current administration even took over, and now it feels like Adams is being forced to bail out private interests (considering only 10 percent of the club's debt is actually owed to New York City). Sports turned into a luxury ages ago, and in this country, it's mostly just a playground for the Republican Party to farm votes. If they want to help, they should go ahead.

The whole sanitation system has been a mess for years; people are just finally starting to make noise about it now.
I hear they barely show up in certain neighborhoods, yet right here near Manhattan, they’ve shown up two days in a row just to empty bins that aren't even full.
Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
Every Thursday, the sanitation truck rolls right into my company's courtyard.
Back when the Banditos were running things, nobody ever complained about it.
But look at them now—literally the first day after Eric Adams took office, and here they go: "We're such a small crew, the working conditions aren't great..."
Seriously, why didn't you guys say anything for years? Get lost.

The 43rd Ryder Cup is officially getting underway over in Wisconsin.

I'm guessing Europe isn't going to be able to defend the title this year.

Are all these people protesting in Palm Springs working afternoon shifts just so they can make it out to stand in front of the elementary school in the morning?
Bad Boys in Fans ·
⚽️ Since pandemic restrictions are making it a pain to actually get to the stands, our partners at the Mayo Clinic are setting up some quick antigen testing before the New York Yankees take on Legia Warsaw. For any Bad Boys who have an official Association membership, they’re offering a discounted rate of just $12 (regular testing usually runs about $67).
If you get a negative result, you'll get the EU digital COVID certificate needed to get into the stadium. We'll be running tests on: 🗓 August 3rd and 4th, 2021. Just a heads-up, you HAVE to call ahead to book an appointment at 📲 +1 212 555 0198
There's probably going to be a ton of interest, so I guess you should probably book your slot ASAP if you want to make sure you actually land a seat in the stands. 🔵🔵💪

The Department of Education just went ahead and followed Štampar's recommendation on those numbers.

Steven Torres41 said:Thanks a ton, but I was actually asking about this specific Masters. I'm wondering if anyone actually did worse than Woosnam's eight strokes on the 11th hole?

I mean, guys like Chink and Stenson 8 have had eight too, but those were on par 5s. So, I guess Woosnam’s score is still the absolute worst single-hole result (+4) out there.

Steven Torres41 said:Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to the whole golf thing, so I've got a quick question.

Where can I find stats for the 'Highest Number of Strokes Recorded on Any Hole'? I tried digging through players one by one and saw that Ian Woosnam had an 8 on the 11th hole during his first round (https://www.cbssports.com/golf/playe...59/ian-woosnam), but is there a way to see that data for The Masters without having to do all that manual work? Thanks.

Way to go!

It’s his first major win without actually leading the pack heading into the final round. Honestly, a massive deal for him, and maybe even for the sport itself.
The first major victory we've seen since 2008.
Back in 2017, he was sitting way down at 1199th in the world rankings.

2008: Wins US Open on torn ACL
2010: Neck injury
2011: Sprained MCL, Achilles 2012
2012: Achilles 2012
2014: Back surgery
2015: Back surgery
2017: Back surgery
2019: Wins The Masters (first major since 2008)

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a leaderboard like this at The Masters. There’s only a four-stroke gap between the top 22 players, and honestly, looking at all these major winners, things are about to get interesting over the next two days. I guess we'll see who actually holds up.
