Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2012) in Movies ·
They actually pushed the premiere from March of this year all the way back to early 2013
says TMZ :

"The film was originally slated for a March release this year, but Paramount Pictures decided to delay the premiere until the fall—apparently citing the skyrocketing popularity of lead actor Jeremy Renner ('Mission: Impossible 4', 'Avengers', 'Bourne legacy')."

which could honestly mean one of two things: either the movie is absolute garbage and the studio is scrambling to fix it to ensure it doesn't tank at the box office by hiding behind the "rising stardom of Jeremy Renner," or—and I'm being optimistic here—maybe they actually just need more time. 🤷
The movie is pure entertainment—definitely worth catching on the big screen 👍👍👍
Highly recommended for everyone out there; look, it’s probably not going to be some future cinematic masterpiece or a cult classic, but those two hours absolutely flew by
It’s an action-packed ride with just enough comedy sprinkled in—plus, they nail those high-stakes tension scenes where characters are bluffing with everything on the line. Between the gorgeous locations and the cars, the whole thing looks great. The cast actually did a solid job too; even with Tom Cruise leading the charge, the rest of the crew gets enough screen time that it feels like a movie about Ethan Hunt’s entire team rather than just a solo mission for Ethan Hunt. Even the gadgets—which honestly feel like they were ripped straight out of Star Trek—actually make sense within the logic of this film. If I'm being critical, only I am missing a massive, mind-blowing plot twist, but even without that, the movie is top-tier
A pleasant surprise that would be a real shame to miss 🙏
Greetings!

I’ve been chewing on a bit of a dilemma lately—does anyone here have any actual, lived experiences—good or bad—with multimedia "learning kits" for picking up a new language? It seems to me that grabbing a handful of software discs at a 40% discount during those January sales at Best Buy might be a much more budget-friendly move than dropping $333 or more on a formal course...
Has anyone actually found success using standalone language software, and honestly, how much worse is it compared to sitting down in a "real" classroom with actual professionals?
Iconic movie fight scenes in Movies ·
A single scene—maybe a minute, maybe three—which, to a layman like myself, all tend to blur together regardless of how much tension or entertainment they pack in. Yet, certain moments truly sear themselves into my memory. It’s usually down to the choreography, the sheer creativity of the violence, the characters involved, or even just the setting itself. For instance, looking at more recent stuff, this one from the movie *protector* sticks with me, as does that sequence in *Kill Bill Vol. 2* where those two blondes go absolutely feral on each other—honestly, that scrap is the only redeeming quality of an otherwise mediocre film.
Right here
But if we’re talking long-term memory, I can still vividly recall that final showdown in *Terminator 2*—that liquid metal Terminator twisting and flowing as it absolutely dismantles Schwarzenegger—and, of course, that Ace Ventura fight against the transvestite 🤣. Then there are a handful of others scattered throughout various kung fu flicks...
Which specific scenes would you pick out as the most unforgettable physical confrontations between two or more characters, and what made them hit so hard for you?
Mr. Bean on Vacation in Movies ·
A decent way to kill a Sunday afternoon...
It’s a bit of a slog at first—definitely feels like it's dragging its feet early on—but it picks up steam later. That said, don't expect any knee-slappers; some of the jokes feel a little recycled, if you ask me. 🙄
Overall, a solid watch, though I can't help but feel it could have been sharper—I suppose that's just the nature of a Mr. Bean flick...

I finally managed to talk the crew into going to see it, but now—of all things—it’s just not showing up anymore! 🙂

Brian Williams said:Not trash at all. It’s a cinematic masterpiece.

Jerry, I'm certainly not the only one who feels this way—it's pretty much a consensus among those of us with actual taste. 🙂

What can we actually expect from this?
It feels like we’re just a hair away from seeing this hit theaters—rather than it being relegated straight to a streaming service like Netflix... 😲
Is it going to be high-quality trash or just plain bad trash? 🙂
