Just imagine if voting worked like this here: you bring pre-filled ballots from home, toss them in the box, then hit a few different polling stations just to drop off a handful more each time.
The referendum is completely illegitimate—not because it was illegal per se, but because there was absolutely zero oversight during the voting process.

And where on earth is Pusićka? Hasn't she finished her little tour visiting "moderate democrats" in Iraq and Syria yet?

Lisa Chase68 said:Have you ever actually been to Spain? I've visited a few times myself, and honestly, the country is gorgeous and the people are great—but everyone talks about how problematic the Catalans are. Plus, you always hear people from Andalusia complaining about being discriminated against or treated poorly when they try to move to or work in Catalonia... so it's not quite the one-sided thing you're describing.

Most of my time was spent in Andalusia, and man, those folks are constantly venting about the Catalans. It's always the same story: they claim they're being looked down upon by everyone else in Spain, especially the Catalans. They say there's this discrimination where if you don't speak Catalan instead of Spanish—which is what everyone uses anyway—you can't even land a job or stuff like that.
.

You're trolling yourself.
You refuse to recognize the right of Catalans to secede, yet on the other hand, you talk about how others are being oppressed. By that logic, you should be driving them out, not trying to stop them from staying.🤦
On the Politics - Ukraine subforum, it’s become standard practice to label anyone with a different opinion as a Mexican, and there are zero consequences. A few months back, I filed a complaint about this, but it was shot down. The moderator claimed they decided deleting the post was enough.

Now, this same user has started the exact same debate.

Since this keeps happening—basically grouping people in with Vojislav Šešelj—I have to ask: is this just one moderator's call, or is the entire moderation team okay with this? Is anything actually going to be done about it?

It's obvious that when someone lacks a real argument, they resort to trolling. Personally, I find these insults offensive.

Funny how the mods jump into action the second they get called out, look at . Meanwhile, blatant insults just sit there ignored for an entire week.

It’s been three days without a single word from the mods. Is this considered harassment now?

Thanks for the links. Is there some kind of points system for violations somewhere?

On the world subforum, the link to the general rules is broken. Just another mess.

Attention moderators,
Since the general forum rules have been MIA for quite some time now, I’m assuming this is the right spot to ask about the penalty for ethnic slurs.
I'm looking at a specific post from last night on the Ukraine thread:

Good luck to you, you'll need it ...

The intent to insult is blatant here, even though the author clearly knows my background isn't what he's aiming for. He doesn't care, but I do.
The offending post was deleted, but it looks like it didn't result in a ban.
It's worth noting that this individual was spinning a news story earlier, and when he got caught in the lie within the thread, he doubled down with the post above. After that, it was nothing but pure trolling.

Let me give you a firsthand account of our "world-class" national railroad service:
Less than a month ago, I bought a ticket. The next day, I show up at the station only to find an American coach bus waiting instead. No explanation. No apology. I’d bought that ticket 20 hours in advance. Because of my schedule, I didn't have a choice—I had to take it. When I asked how long the trip would take, an Amtrak employee riding along told me she had absolutely no clue, since they were stopping in every tiny town the train usually services. Long story short: after three grueling hours in a bus with a struggling AC unit—during a heatwave where temps hit 95 degrees—we finally rolled into Otočac, 62 miles from our starting point in the city. Then came the punchline: the bus broke down. We were dumped out at a gas station. To make matters worse, Amtrak sent a replacement bus all the way from the big city—another Čazmatrans vehicle, obviously, because they have a contract with them. Apparently, it was too much trouble to hire a local driver who could actually get there on time. After two hours of waiting in the sun, we finally moved.
The whole ordeal took eight and a half hours. It was scheduled to take half that. I almost forgot to mention: an Amtrak ticket for this route costs $58, while private bus lines charge $38. And those guys actually use maintained highways instead of potholed backroads; they have modern coaches, Wi-Fi, and power outlets. Not like these Čazmatrans relics.

Naturally, I filed a formal complaint. Their response? They won't refund a dime—not even the price difference. They just said they would pass my "comments along to Čazmatrans so this wouldn't happen again." 🙂👏

The bottom line: we taxpayers fund this entire circus, and then they turn around and squeeze us for more by outsourcing tickets to bus companies for a tidy 60% markup.

EDIT:
I neglected to mention that from what I heard in the following days, Amtrak has been routinely substituting buses for trains.

The easier route? Just call the retail shop where you picked up the laptop and ask them for the default password.

Greetings,

Does anyone happen to have a recording of the 2009 or 2011 Champions League finals?

Thanks in advance.
