See, capitalism is driven by efficiency. And you simply cannot achieve efficiency without economies of scale. You aren't going to outproduce someone managing massive tracts of land when you're stuck working a tiny backyard plot. Your unit costs will always be higher. It’s basic math: if you’re raising livestock, your overhead per animal is significantly lower if you're managing a herd of 1,000 compared to someone struggling with just 10.

I could go on, but those are really just the basics.

The bottom line is that those who wanted to make a living in agriculture should have been looking for ways to consolidate their holdings. That responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the farmer.

That said, the government bears its own share of the blame for sitting on its hands. Instead of investing in essential infrastructure—things like irrigation, drainage systems, cold storage, or silos, which are far more critical than mere subsidies—they did nothing. A state built on laziness and graft inevitably leads to exactly what we are seeing now: systemic decay.

Look, I’ve been banking with JPMorgan Chase for years now and I’ve never dealt with any of these ridiculous surveys or mindless questioning. I don't know, maybe I just look civilized enough that they don't flag me as a threat.

Some SPOILERS Alert:

The movie's just okay. Honestly, it’s kind of annoying how she’s still playing some damsel in distress; I haven't read the books, but I'm guessing they're leaning hard into some love triangle nonsense or whatever. And that forced horror vibe in the underground scenes? You know something's gonna jump out at you, but thanks to the sound system and those vibrations in the theater, your heart's still gonna skip a beat 😁. Then there's that whole bit where they climb the stairs and you just *know* someone's dying right there—total cliché. You can practically guess who it is. Also, that careless walking through the city when you know there are traps everywhere? Hilarious. The double bomb trick was alright, though obviously they aren't the first people to think of that. The ending was satisfying (not talking about those cringey romance scenes, but the arrow through the heart 😁), even if it was predictable.
To be blunt, the only thing I hate about this whole series is the attempt to bait younger audiences by mixing the themes. Like, people are literally slaughtering each other, but let's make it look all romantic and cute. Either make a brutal massacre or make a romance; don't try to pull this wannabe romance-adventure crap. A good chunk of the film looks totally naive, even if the actors are doing their best to carry it.

EDIT: Longest damn commercials I've ever seen in a theater. It makes me want to never step foot in a cinema again. If I'm paying freaking top dollar for tickets, I expect a movie without a mountain of ads. If anyone's shoving anything down my throat, it should be the plot, not a bunch of commercials.

Don't forget you gotta tack on the sales tax for that too. 😉

I was applying for a loan at Chase recently, and the bank went through my entire transaction history without blinking. They even demanded extra documentation for specific purchases and grilled me about them... I was honestly caught off guard when my personal banker called me out of the blue to interrogate me about it... ended up in a full-blown argument.

The reality is we're beholden to these banks. If you want to take out a loan or fund some project, pretty much nobody can do it without them. If you go in there acting tough and refusing to answer their questions or provide what they need, you're obviously not going to get what you're asking for.

You could always try borrowing from some hippies, I guess. Honestly, there are always people popping up on this sub ever since forever offering all sorts of shady loans, so just hit them up if you're desperate. 😉
