And then you'll have some random person out there trying to claim Lonzo isn't a total legend 🙏🙏🙏

Your ego is hitting overdrive again, Max 🤣
Watch how you act while you're rocking my avatar 🙂 😁
But hey, if you were right, you were right 😍 Go Fernando 😍

nothing about this season feels right. People are basically grabbing the lead just because someone else crashed or pulled a total idiot move. Meanwhile, everyone is busy hyping up their favorite drivers for profiting off those exact disasters.🤣
forget Alonso, Hamilton, Button, Vettel, and Webber.☕
Real talk? Kubica deserved the title this season. Everyone else has been absolute trash, and I mean that for every single one of them. The amount of driving blunders and stupid mistakes we've seen this year is more than what Piquet did in his entire F1 career.🤦
You guys are all out here worshiping dudes who are basically useless right now.🙄
Out of everyone in this thread, I’m being the most realistic, and honestly, that should probably worry you guys.🤣
Look, I root for Vettel and he's my guy, but I'm not about to call his drives "masterful" or claim he's some god-tier driver just because he got lucky while the competition blew an engine, popped a tire, lost a wheel, or just straight-up shot themselves in the foot.☕
The season is definitely keeping things interesting, but the actual level of driving from all these title contenders this season has been pretty much garbage.☕

If you’re some kind of genius predictor, then what does that make me? 🙏

but man, something totally wild happened to me yesterday😲
so, I've got these posters in my room, right? one side shows Alonso and Fisico in the Renault, and the other side is Williams
and get this—as soon as I walked into the room, the poster actually peeled off the wall! Only one corner was still held up by some tape, and it had flipped over to show the Williams side
it's honestly crazy how much symbolism there is in that😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲
stormybadger8 said:Man, Alonso had basically nothing going for him before one race, then maybe a tiny theoretical chance a couple of races later, and by the time we hit Germany, he was pretty much out of it. So, what now?🙄
Man, can we talk about what just happened? A few laps before the end of that last race, Vettel was actually sitting pretty at the top of the championship standings. Before that race even kicked off, he didn't have Hamilton or Alonso even in his rearview mirror, let alone chasing him down. Now look at us. What a complete rollercoaster. How did things flip this fast?🙄
Roger Wright94 said:That’s just your take, man. Honestly? I think you've got it all wrong. But hey, I'm a die-hard fan, so let's just say I'm definitely biased.
Look, there’s a reason we have such a solid group of people here. We’ve got actual experts who know their stuff—people who were calling the shots and laying out logical arguments for why Fernando Alonso was the undisputed number one title contender way before that last race even happened. I still remember what Joe and DMJ were saying about it. They nailed it.
Everyone keeps saying Alonso doesn't stand a chance... but honestly, they said the exact same thing back in Germany. As soon as he snatched that win, all you heard was pure panic and people tearing him apart in the McLaren and Red Bull fan circles, simply because they knew he was a massive threat for the title. It’s the same old story playing out right now. They’re trying to downplay him again. But mark my words: if Alonso pulls off a win at Monza, the fear and the finger-pointing are going to start all over again.
I mean, honestly? Your fears are totally justified. If you take a closer look at who his actual rivals for the title are right now... man, it's a tough situation.
What's even the point of Lewis Hamilton having a 50-point lead if he just ends up blowing the whole thing at the finish line during the last two races?
Red Bull isn't going to put Mark Webber in that lead driver seat as long as Sebastian Vettel still has a mathematical shot at the title.
Sebastian Vettel is basically proving once again that he just can't turn a championship-winning car into actual titles. I mean, seriously? He’s grabbed seven poles this year, but only managed two wins. To put it bluntly: he's a total loser.
It’s honestly hilarious how Jenson Button can't seem to stay ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Every single time he finally finds that extra gear, starts charging through the field, and begins laying down serious pressure on Lewis... boom. Out of nowhere, he either runs bone-dry on fuel or his front wing just snaps off. And the kicker? Even with a busted wing, he’s still clocking faster laps than Hamilton! It's like the universe is actively working against him at the worst possible moments.
So, here’s the deal: Alonso is still very much in the hunt, and honestly, he’s got a legitimate shot at the title. At this point, the skill gap between the top drivers and their current standing isn't even the real issue. The million-dollar question is whether that Ferrari car can actually hold its own against McLaren and Red Bull for the rest of the season. I mean, let's be real—even if Alonso is a total wizard behind the wheel, we can't exactly expect him to pull off a miracle every single weekend when he's fighting a car that's clearly outclassed by the faster machinery on the grid.
Adam King said:hehe, you kinda have a point there...
I’ve actually been rooting for Alonso lately, and I’d really love to see him take the title this season (though Webber is cool too). As for the rest of them? Honestly, I don't think they've earned a win just yet..
And hey, why not? Next year we might get a classic showdown of Alonso vs Schumacher—uff, that would be absolutely incredible to watch 😁

I totally get where you're coming from. That "grandpa" nickname sticks mostly because Miha has been in Formula 1 forever. He basically retired, then decided to come back out of nowhere, so yeah, he's definitely the "grandpa" of the grid now. 😁
But hey, let's just wait for idući sezona. Who knows? He might absolutely crush it and prove everyone wrong. You can never truly count out those old, seasoned pros. 😳
Adam King said:I wasn't watching on PBS, but if anyone who was tuning in can tell me—is there actually a commentator? It feels like Blazick and Neven Novak are seriously out here calling games at 3 AM and then again at 8 AM... I gotta wonder if they’re getting those sweet night shift differentials. 🤣
briskhound76 said:Wait, what's going on? Did this actually just start?😢
briskhound76 said:They do!, but honestly, none of them ever actually work, so I doubt any will tonight either.🤷
briskhound76 said:Anyone got a solid stream link? It feels like the guys over at ESPN can't figure out when qualifying actually starts, or they don't have anyone awake to call the action... anyway, if you've got a good one, feel free to drop it here so we can all watch.😁
fadedwalker18 said:I'm thinking Ferrari was testing out their wet weather setup during FP1. If the rain stops by this time tomorrow—maybe just some light showers leaving the track a bit damp—it could be interesting for qualifying.
Who do you guys think actually nails those qualifying sessions? 😁
