🙏 Just 2 minutes left in Q1 👋
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
I'm honestly wondering when people are finally going to realize that Vettel isn't even going to be doing qualifying 🤣
The NBC commentators actually announced it just a few minutes before everything kicked off

that Masa lands on the podium?

I'm down to bet 😁

The bet only counts if those top five guys on the starting grid finish the race clean—no spinning out, no crashes, and no random engine failures messing up their standing mid-race.
sound good?

It took Jehovah three whole minutes from the moment the broadcast kicked off before he even managed to utter a single word.😂

Raymond Ortiz89 said:Look, I think you’re being a little too harsh on Massa based just on those first two races where he went off track. You can't really take those early slips and judge his entire career by them—that feels like a massive oversight to me. If you actually watch him drive now, though, the difference is night and day. He’s driving so much more consistently lately, and honestly, he’s become someone you can actually rely on out there. 🤷

You totally missed my point! I was just saying that any lead driver could pretty much bail on this track whenever they felt like it, which would basically hand Massa a podium finish on a silver platter.

Raymond Ortiz89 said:😂😂😂 there's actually a better chance than you think

Why's it a better chance than I think though?😕
How do you even know what's going through my head?😂
The way I see it, this track is absolutely ruthless. One tiny slip-up and you're either smashing into a wall or buried deep in the grass. There's just zero margin for error here.

but honestly, he'll be hitting the finish line today😂

I’m definitely gonna go back and watch this replay. Honestly, we should just have LeBron James and Stephen Curry doing the commentary—imagine that duo! Let's see how that goes. 😂

wanna bet
that Masa makes it onto the podium

Who says it’s impossible? It could happen if one of the frontrunners decides to bail.

Raymond Ortiz89 said:Man, Massa is definitely going to have a shot at picking on Russell right out of the gate. He might even get a clean run at Hamilton if things line up. 🤣

😂😂😂
If everyone gets a clean start, Massa’s only shot at holding onto that lead is if he can outmaneuver someone like Rosberg right out of the gate. Honestly, I don't see Alonso making any meaningful moves before the first round of pit stops hit. By the time we get to that point, Kubica is probably going to be sitting pretty with a solid 20-second cushion.

Raymond Ortiz89 said:fair enough, just don't go bribing him before then 😂

no way😂 but seriously, you better start cranking out those posts if you want to hit 1000 by 9 PM tomorrow. if you wait much longer, you're gonna be playing catch-up all night 😂

Wait, two Ferraris?😂 All I see is one Ferrari that actually poses a threat to Kubica 😕

Raymond Ortiz89 said:😁Man, if someone misses out on the top five, who cares? It's all good.

True, nobody loses anything, but they can't have any setbacks either. Like, you can't have a flat tire and drop ten spots or anything like that.

Raymond Ortiz89 said:alright, but what are we actually betting on here?

Let's take it to the mods😁
Whoever loses the bet gets a forced break from the forum for 5-10 days (you pick the number in that range)
If the loser tries to sneak back on early, the admins will hit them with a real 15-day ban
sound good?

Here are a few more details for anyone who missed qualifying or for those of you planning to rightfully boycott the absolute garbage broadcast on NBC:
Sebastian Vettel is going to be starting from the pit lane. Adrian Sutil actually managed to outpace Giancarlo Fisichella, even though Fisichella looked faster during all three practice sessions. Jarno Trulli spun a couple of times and, for the first time this season, failed to make it into Q3. Mark Webber clipped the wall toward the end of Q2, so he won't be seeing any action in Q3. On the bright side, Fernando Alonso was incredible—starting 5th in Q1, then moving up to 4th in both Q2 and Q3. On the flip side, Felipe Massa had a rough one; this is easily his worst starting position of the season so far.

And now I'm stuck watching them push him through the grass. 🙄

EDIT
Haha, the guys pushing the car just slammed right into the barrier with him! 🤣

Did you see how Felipe Massa immediately jumped back in fear of getting hurt? He just stood behind the car like, "Hey, hit me instead of smashing this car into the wall!" 😂
