Let us rejoice while
we are still young;
Enjoy this pleasant youth,
for after this troublesome old age
the earth will claim us...

Where are they now, those who came before us
and once walked this world?
They have gone to the heavens,
passed down into the depths
where they used to dwell.

Our life is fleeting,
it will end soon enough.
Death comes swiftly,
striking us brutally,
showing no mercy to anyone...

Long live the university,
long live the professors,
long live every single member,
long live all parts of the whole,
may they always be in bloom!

May all the charming,
famous maidens live on!
And may the women live too,
tender, lovely,
good, and hardworking!

Long live the republic,
and he who governs it,
long live our nation,
and the generosity of our patrons,
who protect us here!

May sadness perish,
may the grouches perish,
may the devil perish,
along with any anti-fraternity types
and all the mockers!

Now Google AdSense won't allow any ads on this thread...

the title says 'testing tastature', instead of testisation testisture

I honestly don't get it. Since when did Google AdSense start taking offense at a grumpy baboon's face? 🤔

It hasn't gone anywhere, just try looking under the title Search song name / artist / lyrics III.

Isn't there a faster way to handle this? It's basically just two days of work and you're done... In that timeframe, he could easily pull in $333 working a construction site out in the suburbs.

I’d also suggest setting a hard deadline where any new thread has to be opened within 24 hours of the vote wrapping up.

At least then we might actually see some semblance of order around here...

Just my two cents.

Maybe we should start issuing formal violations too.

Dennis Hall41 said:I’ve been pushing for a new format from the get-go—something where we pick the best tracks by decade instead of focusing on full albums. I’m almost certain it would result in twice as many candidates and probably four times the amount of discussion posts.

Personally, I’ve always been incredibly resistant to anyone else’s album recommendations; honestly, ever since I can remember, back when CDs were first being handed out in high school, people would basically just borrow them from me. The only exception was some punk stuff I’d grab from one specific guy. I’ve always felt like I had to hunt for my own music. But songs... it’s different with songs, for some reason...

I don't mind picking up suggestions from others if I see our tastes actually align.

As for the idea itself, you could always just start the thread yourself. There isn't any rule saying the moderators have to be the ones running these little games.

So, this whole thing went down the drain just like the Greek economy did.

(Probably because the moderators have a massive vendetta against Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis.)

those riffs are thicker than the band members themselves... 😁

Gave it a listen today. Solid performance.

Jason Mendoza said:All jokes aside, I actually gave this album a spin a long time ago and it’s honestly not half bad... they're clearly playing around with song titles inspired by Carcass and Cannibal Corpse, which places them right in that pornogrind or goregrind subgenre niche.

If anyone is actually interested in checking them out, I'll drop a few links here...😁

I listened to them a bit back in the day too; I mostly just remembered them because they had such a killer name. They're pretty solid.

I'm looking through their bio right now, and man, the band members have some seriously bizarre names...

redbear12 said:Look, I don't have a problem with Mexican music, but from what I can gather, that specific genre tends to throw in these bizarre screams and weird mumbles... It’s honestly just exhausting to listen to. Am I totally missing the mark here? 🙂

It's really not everyone's cup of tea. Think of grindcore or goregrind as the extreme evolution of death metal, and even within standard death metal, you're still dealing with pretty grim subject matter...

Dennis Hall41 said:Honestly, you people lose all sense of reality once you get moderator status. I genuinely thought we were fostering some level of actual diversity of opinion here, but clearly, I was mistaken. Fine, whatever... I'll just go ahead and follow the suggestion from Jessica Morris6 instead of waiting for an actual poll to happen.

I can't say I blame them, really. That whole ridiculous situation is way ahead of its time and definitely isn't for everyone right now. Maybe our grandkids will be playing this stuff at their first dances or something...

I don't want to hear a single word about you playing favorites or hooking up with anyone else... ☕

redbear12 said:You can't just go around telling people how they should vote...🙂 😬

When I checked out the musical style—and honestly, the covers were pretty vague too—along with those song titles, my ears just immediately shut down... I couldn't bring myself to listen to any of it.

So, you're just not a fan of Mexican grindcore or Latin-inspired tracks in general?
Dennis Hall41 said:And why shouldn't I like them?

Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis is actually a fantastic band, and if you ask me, they’re asking all the right questions, all set against this really solid foundation of folk-rock music.

If the public actually votes for them, then we'll start a dedicated thread about it...

Excuse me. I just hope nobody actually votes for that.
