Jonathan Booth5 said:It’s all some clever chemistry involving that pullrod suspension, which lets them package the engine and gearbox much tighter, giving the car a way smoother aero profile, along with those little tweaks McLaren keeps reporting to the FIA. Last race they had to mess with the axle shapes and rear dampers at Red Bull, and the one before that, it was something with the diffuser. Newey really nailed this chassis just like he did that McLaren back in 2005, it's just a shame it's being driven by these two idiots, and like most of Newey's designs, it feels incredibly fragile.
True enough, though even back then, the hydraulics on that Mercedes engine basically handed the title straight to Alonso....👎 man, if only that engine had been half as reliable as what we're seeing now...
There's a lot of chatter about the suspension on the new Red Bull, but honestly, everyone is just grasping at straws... some say
this and others say that... I guess we'll find out how the McLaren vs Red Bull comparison actually looks during qualifying this Saturday.
