Do you get any kind of local anesthesia for that?

Wait, isn't that just what we call a "wedge pillow" for babies?

I deal with that constant hunger too; I find myself eating all the time, and I've actually gained quite a bit of weight over the last two years.

At first, I thought my Gaviscon wasn't doing anything, but when I forgot to pack it for a trip abroad, I realized pretty quickly that it actually does make a difference.

I don't have any burning, but I do have a dry throat, a constant feeling of hunger, frequent coughing, and hoarseness. My voice gets strained if I talk for too long. My doctor says it's LPR because they can see that my throat and esophagus are irritated by the acid.

@boldnomad45, what exactly is a reflux pillow?

I'm dealing with pretty much the same stuff. For me, it's more about that constant post-nasal drip and occasional heartburn—nothing crazy, though. It usually hits when I eat bananas or anything spicy, but once I cut those out, the heartburn stays away.
The only thing is, I have no clue what to eat for dinner, and I just can't seem to skip a meal after 6 PM since I don't head to bed until midnight. If I don't eat, I'll be starving myself by bedtime!

So, I just had my follow-up appointment for my sinus issues and that nasal polyp. After a whole year of check-ups, the ENT finally asked me how things have been going. Honestly? I told him I'm dealing with constant post-nasal drip, and my nose feels so incredibly dry that I’ve been applying Nystatin and using Nasonex, but the spray actually makes my nose sting. He then asked if I was struggling with acid reflux, and I told him it only really kicks in if I eat something super spicy or even just a banana.
He basically told me straight up that I've got reflux, and his advice was to make sure my last meal of the day is finished by 8:00 PM—something light like a cracker and some fennel tea, with absolutely no sugar involved, so no honey either.

I'm curious, what kind of symptoms were you guys dealing with?

What I usually do is just head down to the pharmacy where I normally pick up my stuff. Since they already have me in their system, they can see that I actually use these medications regularly, so once my doctor sends over the electronic prescription, I just swing by, pay, and grab them. It’s pretty straightforward!

Ideally, somewhere near the Jarun-Trevnjevka area, but I'm open to suggestions elsewhere!

Dr. Juratovac is great! He works over at Rebro but you can also catch him for private appointments at Monocle on Maximilian Avenue.

Thanks! Seeing those red numbers was definitely making me sweat a little.

brightgull95 said:So, what exactly is worrying you about the PV and the Federal Reserve numbers? Are you taking any kind of Vitamin K antagonist or something?

Honestly, seeing that PV and Federal Reserve reading just feels a bit unsettling. I'm not even on any medication—I've actually never had a reason to get my levels checked like this before.

Can someone walk me through these lab results I got before my upcoming surgery under general anesthesia?
I'm especially a little worried about the PV Federal Reserve levels.
Thanks!

Thanks! I actually started taking Ferrum to get my iron levels up, and it only took about 10 days.
Could having low iron levels be a reason to put off surgery?

How old do you have to be to see an anesthesiologist?
Is being 3 weeks postpartum too early?

They never used a mask to put me under.
Shoot them a private message if you want more details.

Can I send a PM? Thanks!

I’m not totally sure if I’m in the right spot here.
Some people might find this question a little silly, but hey,
I’m scheduled for surgery to fix some nasal polyps, and honestly, I’ve never been under general anesthesia before. Does anyone know what the drill is like before, during, and after the procedure? Like, do they put you under with a mask, or do they just give you something through an IV? Am I just going to drift off, or will they have to put a breathing tube in my mouth to do the work for me?
Thanks so much!
