It's because they don't think like the rest of us, and honestly, that's a dangerous thing.

They really should have handled that more intelligently—like getting a doctor's note stating the child doesn't need to wear a mask. This whole "battle" fought on the backs of children is just... I don't even know. It's absurd.

Sent from my JNY-LX1 using Reddit

No student needs a doctor's note to skip masks; there isn't even a law like that.

It's more like it exists in the minds of religious fanatics. It’s as if you need a rosary just to enter a school building or a signed permission slip from Bozanić—it all ends up being the same thing.😁

Taking shots at the most vulnerable people? It's pathetic and honestly just sad.

Why don't we just drag in some physicist from Pavuna to act as our academic authority so we can all have a good laugh?

Right, because every surgeon, nurse, and anesthesiologist loves lighting up a cigarette and knocking back a shot on an empty stomach without any issues.

There's absolutely no reason we shouldn't let the kids light up a smoke and have a bitter herbal liqueur for breakfast too, right?🤦

Sam Alvarez4 said:The Jerusalem Post pulled that text.
Why?
Because the guy is an absolute disaster who isn't a historian and clearly knows nothing about this part of the world.
I actually reached out to them personally and told them how shameful it was.

By the way,
just because certain groups manipulate the truth doesn't mean we should follow suit. Their manipulation is their own disgrace.
And our own manipulations? That's on us.

Anyway.
I don't really participate in the history subreddits.
I just lurk and read here and there.
There are some interesting things on both sides that, even at 60 years old, feel new to me. It pushes me to read stuff I normally wouldn't bother with.

In short.
If you think the Jerusalem Post article was right, you're mistaken. It’s no surprise they deleted it.

Basically, the fact that you guys are debating this so freely here instead of in the history forums suggests that Goldman Sachs wasn't entirely off base.

The whole historical debate regarding victims of totalitarian regimes has been turned into a political brawl—exactly what happened back in Yugoslavia.

It’s worrying to see how people who seem to enjoy repression and imprisonment are the ones shaping today's society.

It would be wise not to hold "veterans" up as relevant authorities when discussing events from both the 40s and the 90s.

Just think back to those loud, sensational claims, my dear Tomica K., regarding the remains found at Kustošija—he insisted they were killed by the partisans... then he went dead silent once "his own people" proved they were actually Nazi German crimes.
Beyond the massive shootings and executions at Dotrščina (where 6,000 to 7,000 civilians died),
one of the favorite pastimes for the Nazi German thugs in the city was hanging locals from utility poles...

Is there any actual evidence or even a single solid argument pointing to when these executions happened? A small hammer was also a "favorite tool" used by the Nazi German perpetrators.
And yeah— that’s just pure propaganda.

Try reading with a bit more comprehension.

Do you even know who participated in the forensic investigations?

Be polite and point out an actual logical flaw. I'll gladly give you my thoughts—whether you care to hear them or not is up to you. Just learn from your elders... remember that.

You can't learn anything useful from "elders," other than how to kiss the ass of a big leader or the ruling party. They perfected that trick in every system and passed the "wisdom" down to the kids.
Now that we've cleared that up, let's move on.

What do you mean by "veterans"? I provided a link to the Department of Defense, which conducts these types of investigations, not to some vague group of "veterans" in quotation marks.

The health inspector M. Haramija hid documents regarding mass graves from 1945 all the way through 1990 because of fear of the Nazi Germans, and the farmers in Gračan stayed quiet during that same period for the exact same reason.🤦

And none of this is related—so how can a discussion about these facts be labeled as Nazi German propaganda? How?
According to those "elderly" windbags, the farmers in Gračan would have been arrested and thrown in jail, so they aren't nearly as reliable as other eyewitnesses.

Any discussion might involve an ideological lens, but forum members shouldn't be punished based on the personal ideological bias of a moderator.
Smith and the Department of Defense forensic experts in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The forensic evidence tells a different story—these people were executed, they didn't just die in combat like you're claiming. That includes two women and several kids. Besides, local residents from Graceland and even the chief health inspector warned us about this, though the authorities went ahead and buried the documents.

If it hadn't been for Bandić’s cronyism and that famous cable car, this mass grave might never have been investigated. It wasn't some breakthrough by historians—on either side of the aisle—that brought this to light; it was criminal investigation work.

And honestly, that's just history, not some attempt to spread far-right propaganda.

So, what you're saying is that in Graceland, people who died in combat are being memorialized as innocent victims of communism? Is that it? You're just attacking people on this forum for no reason, purely based on your own ideological bias.

Whether he actually wrote anything or was just lurking, that doesn't give him the right to slap the label of "Ustashe" on an entire field of forensic expertise just because the facts don't fit his personal fantasy.
Smith and the Department of Defense forensic experts in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Hi everyone,

Regarding the thread "Mass killing of prisoners and political opponents in Yugoslavia 1945," I responded to a comment made by moderator Smith in post#3084

quoting Smith: Does the whole story even have a basis in truth? (it’s possible the entire thing was fabricated—like what happened at Graceland, where Ustaše and SS soldiers died in combat but are commemorated as innocent victims of communists)

I pointed the moderator toward the forensic investigation of the mass grave at Graceland containing 294 victims It seems clear to me now that he just refuses to acknowledge forensic findings.

quoting: By examining 63,000 bone fragments, the number of victims, their age, and gender were determined, along with documented injuries. Among the victims were 63 minors, including 16 children under the age of 14, and two women. At least 112 people were killed by gunshot to the head, while many others were killed with blunt objects, as evidenced by numerous bone injuries.“

The moderator slapped me with 10 penalty points, deleted my post, and accused me of spreading pro-fascist propaganda.

So, if I quote forensic experts and the Department of Defense, am I suddenly spreading propaganda? Is that how this works?

It's pathetic, really. Just sad.
I am requesting an official explanation. Penalty points are one thing, but insults are quite another. Is everyone who doesn't follow Smith's line automatically labeled a fascist?
What's the deal with KLCCLK? in Banned Users Corner ·
The mod KLCCLK just slapped me with a one-day ban, and I honestly have no clue what I did wrong.

If it’s not too much trouble, could someone please walk me through the reasoning here?

I really think it would be fair to let us know why we're being banned.

Thanks.
Would you get your kids vaccinated against COVID? in Coronavirus ·
Jason Kern63 said:The vaccine is finally here—something people have been clamoring for months. People are getting their shots, and honestly, that’s fine. But as for kids? I’m not an advocate for vaccinating them, nor would I personally do it. The only exception, obviously, would be if they were facing severe underlying health issues that made them vulnerable to COVID, the flu, or similar threats.
I’ve taken my shot myself. If this doesn't get me, something else will eventually. People died in wars by the thousands, yet nobody's out there screaming about it. Death is a reality; it always has been and always will be. For now, vaccination remains optional, and the trend seems to be that older folks—specifically those over 40—are the ones opting in, mostly because that's when health issues actually start creeping in. Look, aging is a natural process; you can't expect a 60-year-old's immune system to perform like a 20-year-old's.
Vaccinating healthy children won't even be an issue here since it isn't going to be standard practice. However, I do support vaccinating children who are already battling serious illnesses, as it could protect them from much harsher complications due to their compromised immunity.

The flu????🙏

We pretty much wiped out the flu. Nobody actually knows how we pulled it off, but it’s gone.
You are seriously out of the loop.😁

But honestly, let's just move past that for a second. 😵😵

Megan Green72 said:Your logic is honestly fascinating. Every vaccine works by training the body to fight an enemy so that when it actually shows up, the system knows how to crush it immediately. And that—right there—is why we say it protects against infection.
So yeah, vaccines protect you. Maybe what you were trying to get at is that they aren't 100% foolproof, or that some people won't build immunity or will only get partial protection and end up getting sick regardless.
Also, you clearly don't grasp how percentages work—0.1% of a billion is way more than 90% of a hundred, even if 90% sounds scarier to people who don't do math.

The COVID-19 vaccine doesn't stop you from catching the virus; it stops you from getting deathly ill. Like Beroš would put it, it keeps you from ending up in the ICU.
But sure, you can still get infected, and you can still pass it on to others... so calling it "protection from infection" isn't quite right.

Am I missing something here?
Would you get your kids vaccinated against COVID? in Coronavirus ·
Megan Green72 said:Look, I get it, but clearly people don't grasp how long-term monitoring works once you actually get approval—that stuff happens during Phase 4.

Developing a vaccine and testing one are two totally different beasts. Yeah, the development side dragged on way longer for a ton of reasons, but that wasn't because of the testing phase itself.

Also, you have to realize that the number of participants in Phase 3 for typical drugs and vaccines used to be about ten times smaller than what we're seeing with these new shots.

Regardless of whether you're talking about a medication or just picking up a new habit, you can only truly spot the consequences or side effects as time passes.

Honestly, smartphones are doing more damage to kids than COVID-19 ever did.
Kids are struggling with motor skills, focus, speech, and developing some pretty intense addictions.

Phase IV - Post marketing surveillance in public - Monitor long-term effects

So, what's the deal—do you have this same problem with every single medication and vaccine, or are you still being selective just with these ones?

I’m just advocating for a certain level of safety.

The kids aren't in any immediate danger, so there's really no need to rush things.

Aleta Ogord said:Are you actually speaking from your own massive clinical trial experience here?
I honestly don't think so. I’m worried you’re just recycling the same tired slogans and talking points that circulate on Facebook and YouTube every single day, reaching some unsuspecting soul who just heard about "drug research" for the first time and is now wandering around confused like Fata at Disneyland.

Everything I'm saying comes from the information available to us. And since we are discussing kids, I’m going to stick to my guns.
There is a specific amount of time required to monitor side effects, right? You can't just shorten that window, can you?
Side effects don't always show up immediately. That’s why vaccines undergo testing for at least five years. It’s only after all that data is collected that they can be declared relatively safe for humans—not "100% safe," despite what the media claims.
Am I making things up? Did I use a "cliché" or something?

Unlike Fata, it looks like you're dealing with a severe case of dementia. Let me refresh your memory regarding the last two pandemic panics, which weren't even that long ago—about ten years back.

The first was bird flu, when DOJ specialists were trekking through rural towns telling farmers to cull their chickens and poultry. Based on what, exactly?
The second was swine flu, which turned out to be one of the biggest scandals in modern medical history, confirmed by countless investigations. Do you need me to dig up links to prestigious medical journals, immunologists, or even the Council of Europe?
Back then, people were being jabbed in a rush, too. Then, more than two years later, there was an explosion of autoimmune issues like ALS. Remember that social media challenge where celebrities dumped ice water on themselves to raise awareness for ALS? That was the connection.

Fear-mongering is the common thread in all three of these pandemic scares. Even worse? The total loss of trust in Big Pharma.

Google is your friend, too. No need to lecture me.🙂

I’ve spent plenty of time lurking on forums over in the States, and while you rarely find deep dives specifically centered on childcare, there are always groups of moms who are practically sprinting to get their kids vaccinated! 👎

We shouldn't judge people just because they're acting out of ignorance.
I mean, they've been feeding us nothing but fear and death for nearly two years now.

Is it even possible? It feels like more people have died from pure panic than from COVID-19 itself.

That's why we're stuck with such a mess of a government. There's no pressure coming from Brussels because Andrej Plenković is a total puppet, and it looks like even the Democratic Center isn't bothered by this state of affairs, since they stay dead silent in the European Parliament. ☕

If you want to fix a country, you need pressure from its own citizens, not some bureaucrats in the EU.

But it seems like Americans have been raised to expect their parents to make their beds and clear the table once they're done stuffing their faces.

That's just how it looks.

Kyle Nelson2 said:It’s pretty obvious the goal of the moderation here isn't actually to facilitate a debate based on any set of rules. It feels more like they're just steering the conversation toward a pre-packaged conclusion by deleting or flagging any views they don't like..

I guess they probably want to influence public opinion (?) to ensure history is viewed through one specific lens—the same way it was portrayed back in the old regime. Apparently, looking at history from a different angle is automatically branded as revisionism..
So, this isn't moderation; it's political maneuvering with a very clear agenda..

That's just my take, anyway. It seems like the old system is being defended by people who are clearly nostalgic for it (whether it was the old federation, communism, socialism, whatever...), so I doubt you'll see any change in how things are handled here..
I'm not exactly a historian, but honestly, American historians don't seem much different from this, at least based on some of the interviews I've read.

Will they succeed in controlling the narrative? Probably not. Besides, this forum isn't the only place on the internet to speak your mind.. just start a Facebook group or a subreddit, or something else..

>: And lonetrucker4 isn't the only one acting like this. We saw the same thing with KLCCLK regarding those threads about COVID (where he insisted it was just a slightly heavy flu and kept flagging anyone with a different view), and even with the topics on immigrants...

Exactly.
History isn't an exact science with fixed laws. It's actually one of the most fluid disciplines out there, which means it's incredibly susceptible to reinterpretation and manipulation.
Historical revision happens all the time; it's nothing unusual. A foundation is dug up, a mass grave is found, a document surfaces in the archives—suddenly, you have to revise everything, update the narrative, and integrate new findings.

Honestly, moderator Ostrić is doing his job perfectly fine for this forum.
He operates strictly based on his own political and ideological convictions, and his moderation follows that specific matrix.

You can see this best by comparing the threads about WWII and the Resistance Movement.
There's nothing we can really do about it, and besides, would anyone else even be better?
We can complain about Ostrić and disagree with his views personally, but he isn't a bad moderator.

There's always room for improvement, but at least we aren't forced to pay his salary, unlike CNN, Klasnić, and those other parasites.😁
