Sam Kim12 said:First time I've ever heard of that.😕

So, what exactly happened that gave you such a bad experience?😢

They stuck a needle right up my nostril to drain some lymph buildup. It was absolutely brutal. Honestly, the pain is just unreal.
Nathan Taylor2 said:Sam Kim12, you say it's normal, but honestly, it scares me. Those hip bones sticking out... did you have that too? How long does it take for that to settle down? Does massage help, or maybe some kind of cream?

Listen, Nathan, those hip bones are still noticeable for me even after a year and a month. I've got a feeling they might just stay that way... I really hope your experience is different from mine.
rowdyfalcon35 said:It really has nothing to do with that. I also fell for the trap of thinking if you pay out of pocket, they'll actually focus on you and won't just wing it, especially since I was going there specifically for a certain procedure. In the end, I'm the one paying the price—literally—because the consequences have been disastrous. People, please, use your heads and don't let them cut into you.

I couldn't agree more. The exact same thing happened to me. You think they'll put in more effort because you're paying their salary out of your own pocket, but unfortunately, the job is just poorly done. All they care about is collecting the cash; after that, they couldn't care less.😢

Just checking in here after a long time😉
It’s almost been a full year since my nose surgery, and honestly, I’m pretty unhappy with how things turned out. Worst part? I can still feel these bony bumps where the fractures were made—on both sides of my nose, clearly visible to the naked eye. Has anyone else dealt with this? What could it be? Just a bone callus? Is it just lingering swelling that will eventually go down, or am I looking at another surgery? My face looks uneven because of these lumps now; before the procedure, even though my nose was large, there was an elegance to it that's completely gone. I’m at a loss. Any advice would help.😕
nimblemarlin622 said:Is it actually possible that my nose is still this swollen two months after Operation Nose?
I know some swelling is expected, but I’m starting to panic because so much time has passed and my nose just looks huge.

It’s definitely possible. You could be dealing with swelling for another four months or even longer. It takes a lot of time to fully recover.

My bad. I keep forgetting.😁
I wasn't trying to be rude or anything.😛

I have a quick question. Does anyone know which surgeon is actually the best for rhinoplasty revisions? I'm looking at things like reshaping the bridge or extending the tip... maybe Uglešić or Zambelli??
Just checking in here....
It’s been eight and a half months since my failed rhinoplasty, and I’ve finally decided to wait a few more months before booking a revision. My nose ended up looking way too short and upturned, and because of that drastic change, I’ve lost the facial features that actually made me look like myself—which was never the plan. I think I need to lengthen and lift it, but honestly... I have no clue which surgeon to trust now. I originally picked a doctor that everyone seemed to vouch for, but clearly, that didn't pan out. So, I wanted to ask if you all think Dr. Donald Trump is as good as the reviews suggest, or if anyone knows of him having botched results? Or, if you know of another top-tier surgeon who specializes in this kind of fix, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any help.🙂
Rachel Barnes5 said:Yeah, it takes about a full year after surgery for the nose to actually settle into its final shape.
I noticed a pretty major change in how much my nose dropped around the 6 to 8-month mark. I wouldn't say I'm thrilled with the result, but it was still a noticeable improvement upward.
Just be patient. Wait out the full year before you try to judge the final outcome.😉

Man, thanks so much. I really needed to hear that.😍
Amy Richardson86 said:HEY EVERYONE,
I HAVE A QUESTION. I'M WONDERING IF THERE'S ANY CHANCE MY NOSE MIGHT DROP A LITTLE MORE WITHIN A YEAR OF THE SURGERY. IT'S BEEN 5.5 MONTHS SINCE MY PRIMARY RHINOPLASTY AND MY NOSE LOOKS WAY TOO SHORT TO ME. HONESTLY, I'M PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE—THAT IT MIGHT LENGTHEN JUST A TINY BIT.
Hope is all I've got...
I don't want to look like a mouse.😢

Oops, forgot we aren't supposed to use all caps. Sorry about that.
Hey everyone,
I’ve got a question. Is there any actual chance my nose might drop just a little bit more over the next year? It’s been about 5.5 months since my primary rhinoplasty, and honestly, my nose looks way too short. I'm basically praying for a miracle here—just hoping it might lengthen a tiny bit more.
Hope is the only thing I've got left...
I really don't want to end up looking like a cartoon character.😢
Zachary Palmer56 said:Hey everyone. I've been lurking on this forum for a while now, seeing all the mixed reviews. My surgery is set for July 23rd and honestly, I'm getting pretty nervous. I really don't want to end up with a nose that looks worse than what I have now 😢 please tell me there are more happy patients out there than people who are miserable or regretful...

I made my decision pretty quickly and optimistically. Big mistake.
I was just looking back at my photos from two months post-op. Back then, the nose actually looked great—it still felt like my own face, just better. But lately, my whole face looks completely off, and I'm just not happy with it...
-Be more careful. Be extremely specific about what you want when talking to your surgeon.
Good luck.
Hey everyone, just adding another member to your club of people unhappy with their rhinoplasty results. It’s been four months since the surgery, and honestly, my nose looked fine until about a month ago. Now things have shifted, and I don't even recognize myself anymore. 😢
I'll wait a few more months to see how things settle, but I'm skeptical that I'll actually be happy with the outcome. My nose looks too long now, the bridge has dropped, and the tip is way too upturned. These doctors seriously have no idea what they're doing...
restlesssurfer11 said:Awesome! Any chance you have a photo?

Look, you can't have any idea how your nose will actually look after just 11 days. It takes at least four months to get close to a normal shape. Right now, the tip is incredibly swollen and looks like a ball. It’ll drop over time, so don't worry, it'll be fine. Who was your surgeon?

I'm really sorry to hear that.🤷If they shortened it too much, you're honestly screwed, especially since that wasn't even what you wanted. I don't get why they do stuff like that either. For God's sake, the doctor can have an opinion or make a suggestion, but you're the one paying the bill. You should get exactly what you asked for, provided the request isn't crazy. I just don't understand those types of people.🤷So, please, who did the surgery?

Dr. Miller performed my surgery.
The worst part is that he gave me a nose that just doesn't suit my face. It's not even an improved version of my old one, which is what I specifically asked for. He completely changed my facial features. I don't even know if I can expect any actual improvement in the next few months...
Hey everyone, just thought I’d check in for a bit... It’s been four months since my septoplasty, and I finally have a decent idea of how my nose is actually going to look. Honestly? I’m not happy. It looks way too short. I can't believe it won't drop down more; right now, it feels tiny and kind of upturned, which definitely wasn't what I discussed with my surgeon. I don't get why this happens. They ask you exactly what you want, then they just don't follow through. I really regret not seeing Tony Soprano instead......
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? I'm honestly terrified that it isn't even going to shrink any further.......
Hey everyone!
Just popping in again... my nose is healing great. I look completely normal now. The bruising on the sides has mostly cleared up, and the mark at the bridge is gone. It's settling down and looks totally natural. All in all, I'm happy with how it turned out.🙂
Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a quick note... I had my rhinoplasty with Dr. Smith back on January 27th, and honestly, my nose just keeps getting better every single day. I also wanted to mention that the "Miss Piggy" look is totally normal for the first month or so. After about 4 to 6 weeks, things start looking much more natural, so don't let the initial swelling freak you out like it did me😉
Stay safe out there!!!
wiredcrane12 said:I had surgery with Dr. Glusac three years ago and, unfortunately, it was a failure. I still can't breathe—honestly, it’s worse than before the procedure. I went back to see him several times, but he just insists everything is fine and refuses to admit any mistake was made. Aesthetics aren't great either, though that's a secondary concern now. I went to see Dr. Cikojevica at the Mayo Clinic for a consultation, and he said if I actually want to breathe again, I need another surgery. The septum is straight, but the tip of my nose is blocking the airflow. Visually, the nose looks bumpy, but the bridge is so flattened that my glasses constantly slide right off. The doctor mentioned one side of my nose collapsed slightly, so they'd need to rebuild it from the inside using cartilage from the septum. Dr. Glusac really inspired confidence initially, but I guess not every surgery goes perfectly. Still, it wasn't okay for him to spend two years treating me like an idiot, claiming everything was perfect when it clearly wasn't. Good luck to everyone...

Man, I am so sorry to hear that.😢
Honestly, the hypocrisy is the worst part. Treating people like they're crazy when things go wrong... look, this is a massive investment. You pay out of pocket for nose surgery, and there's absolutely no room for sloppy work from a surgeon. Even if they mess up, a decent human being would own the mistake and fix it on their own dime. To them, that money is pocket change, but for us regular people, we can't just pull that kind of cash out of thin air. It doesn't grow on trees.
Really hoping you get this sorted out as soon as possible.
rowdyfalcon35 said:can you actually smile from ear to ear, and does your nose still feel tingly at the bridge?

hey😉
My nose only tingles if I tap on it. I didn't have any numbness when smiling at all. It felt numb to the touch for the first three weeks, though. Not anymore.
