James Taylor3 said:I don't know, man. The Celtics and especially the Knicks just don't look convincing to me on the road, and tonight they're heading into one of the toughest home arenas in the league. 🤷

The Heat aren't exactly killing it right now, while the Celtics feel like they might actually be hitting their peak. Plus, who knows what kind of shape Dame is in? I wouldn't mess with that matchup. 🤷

As for the rest of them, I haven't got a clue. But looking at what Lawrence Castillo76 mentioned, I’ve got this nagging feeling the Bulls are going to cruise through today—with Rose or without him, doesn't matter. Honestly, New York looking to stay under 88.5 feels like a solid play, or maybe even just taking the Under for the whole game. 🤷

That Tony B. friend of yours is an interesting character. 🤣

🤣

Magic are at 1.50 on DraftKings and 1.65 over at FanDuel 😕
...while online sportsbooks are sitting around 1.42

The Magic face Atlanta next, and they're fighting for the same spot in the standings.

James Taylor3 said:Spot on. ☕

I’ve got a feeling Goozer is going to cash in big tonight, regardless of whether Rose plays or not.
And the Bulls? They're just cruising to another routine win. ☕

Same goes for Miami—they're definitely going to get their revenge on the Celtics after that absolute disaster a few days ago. Though, man, LeBron might struggle to find his rhythm there. He’s got this annoying habit of disappearing when the lights get bright, and now that Wade is back in the lineup, it just means fewer looks for him. Plus, he’s got zero help from KG or Bass. 🤣

Dallas could also absolutely dismantle Sacramento, but probably not until the second half. I keep thinking about those games they played last season where the Kings would start out hot from deep, only for Dallas to come out of nowhere and steamroll them late. If I'm remembering right—and I really don't feel like checking my notes right now—that's how it went down.

I'm with you on Anthony; I have a hunch he isn't hitting that over again quite so easily. 🙂

...but I'm gonna have to disagree on Miami. Honestly, I’d rather take the underdog than bet against them against the Knicks. 😛

Anyway... Tony B. was calling the Indiana game last night (where the Raptors covered the spread), and now he’s back on duty for the DC game tonight... is this some kind of magic streak he's on? 😬

Matthew Rodriguez9 said:You hit the nail on the head there... Honestly, Evans is my absolute lock for today. If I had to bet my life on anything, I’m taking the under on him. Every single time. 🤷

Dana Baker2 said:I get this feeling that if I actually went for this guy... Evans under 17.5. Let's go. If he plays against Dallas, he’s definitely dropping 25. Just saying.😁
Man, Lik is absolutely falling apart right now. He's playing like he's stuck in quicksand or something. I mean, he went out there and let Dallas smoke him for 3? Total disaster. And then he gets back home and it’s even worse—gets rolled by 17. Just a complete and utter meltdown.

👍

Why all the gloom and doom? Seriously. 😁

Thortona’s out, so looks like we're probably getting Fredette at the shooting guard spot.

So, the Kings skipped practice on Monday, and word is there isn't even a shootaround lined up for Tuesday. Just... nothing. Total radio silence from the coaching staff. Honestly, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they just decided to take the whole week off and call it "mental health rest" or whatever they're calling it these days. It’s just weird, man. One day you're grinding, the next you're staring at a blank calendar. Makes you wonder what's actually going on behind closed doors.
So, basically, we’re still stuck in limbo regarding Marcus Thornton’s calf situation. No real news to report, which is just great. Apparently, he was itching to suit up for Sunday night's game, but the training staff pulled the plug—probably just playing it safe, you know how these things go. Still, from what I can gather, Thornton looks like he's almost back to his old self. Almost.

So, looks like Marcus Thornton is probably going to suit up on Tuesday against the Mavs, assuming that calf issue doesn't flare up again. He’s sitting at "probable" right now, which—let's be honest—is just sports-speak for "we're hoping he feels okay, but don't hold your breath." Fingers crossed, I guess.
Look, I’m not saying Thornton is a guaranteed lock to suit up or anything—don't hold your breath—but it’s worth keeping an eye on since he’s been out of the picture for a while. He’s sitting out his fourth game in a row now, which sucks, but he’s actually aiming to get back on the court soon. Fans should probably circle Tuesday on their calendars for the next update, but hey, we'll see if things actually pan out.

That’s it for me today... I'm tapping out.

Betting on T. Evans to land under 17.5. Just a hunch, I guess. Don't quote me on it when it goes sideways.
Dallas. Just... Dallas. Honestly, man, sometimes I think about that city and I just feel this heavy, weary sort of exhaustion settling in my bones. It’s one of those places where everything feels a little too big, a little too loud, and way too much about appearances. You ever get that feeling? Like you're walking through a movie set of a "successful" life, but if you look closely at the edges, you can see the plywood and the cheap paint peeling off? That's the vibe for me. It’s all flash and no substance most days, just a relentless grind of trying to prove you've made it while everyone else is doing the exact same thing. Makes you want to just grab a lukewarm coffee, find a quiet corner in some dusty suburb, and disappear from the radar entirely. Just another day in the sprawl.
Hey, Dana Baker2, just checking in on that 2,1275 SS thing. Any word?

Honestly, the Mavs could really use this win. They’ve already played some seriously questionable basketball lately—like, they’re practically throwing their reputation under the bus at this point. And looking at the roster today? Most of the guys should be ready to go. I mean, everyone's available to suit up, except for Odom, obviously. But yeah, they need to get their act together. 😛 )

I’m with you on Evans—he’s my top pick today too. I’ve been keeping an eye on him for a while now, and honestly? The guy looks like he’s playing underwater. He is in absolutely zero form. Look, Dallas got absolutely dismantled in Sacramento about a month ago, and their defense was a total disaster back then. But today? I’m expecting them to actually show up and play some real defense, mostly because they're backed into a corner and have nothing left to lose. Plus, they’ve already proven they can shut Evans down when they actually try. Another thing working in our favor is the likely return of M. Thornton to the starting lineup—I mean, they are playing against the reigning champs, after all. Just another factor to consider. Just another ball hog.Look, even if he plays like garbage—which, let’s be honest, hasn't exactly been his calling card lately anyway—his team isn't exactly breathing down his neck about it. He’s taking fewer shots every single game, just fading into the background. I’m really hoping he doesn't absolutely lose his mind right now, but hey, that's a risk I'm willing to take. 😬

I guess that’s about it for me today. I'm gonna gracefully skip out on these two rivalry games—honestly, I just don't have the headspace for it. Though, if I'm being real, I've got this nagging feeling the Bulls are just gonna steamroll through without breaking a sweat. 🤷

Nicholas Chase34 said:Monroe I’m leaning toward under 15.5 at FanDuel. Just a gut feeling, really. Everything feels a bit off today, but that's just life, I guess.
Against Howard... playing away from home too. Honestly, it’s getting ridiculous. In the last three matchups against him, he’s dropped 4, then 7, then 10 points. Just absolutely tearing us apart.

analoghound21 said:So, yeah, I finally pulled the trigger on him over at Staples. Man, I’m telling you, it’s gotta be under 14.5. Anything else is just wishful thinking at this point....fingers crossed we're both still pulling through. 🙂

Besides him, I also picked up... I’m calling it now: Gasol is going over 17.5. Just feels right. I don't even know where to start with this one. Honestly, my brain is just a fog of bad decisions and lukewarm coffee today. It's like... you think you have a handle on things, right? You think you've got a plan, maybe a little bit of momentum, and then—bam—reality hits you like a freight train in Chicago. Just total chaos. Anyway, I'm rambling. Sorry. My head's just not all there. Griffin’s under 21.5.

@6,33
Look, since this is my first parlay in over a month, I’m not exactly dropping a mortgage payment on it or anything. It's a small stake, nothing crazy. But still... man, it would be nice to actually see one hit for once.😛

I went with Gasol for my over 17.5 line. Honestly, I think he’s a much better bet than that skinny little neurotic wreck they call a player. 🤷 Man, I dropped 30 on the Suns last game, then went out to the Crypto.com Arena just over a week ago and put up 21 against the Hornets—and that was even with Bryant taking like twenty shots himself. Then, during that road trip about halfway through the third month, I dropped exactly 18 on them, again while Bryant was hogging 20-plus possessions. Honestly? I think Pau needs to hunt for about 20 shots tonight. Throw in a couple of free throws and we might actually have a shot at pulling this off. 🤷

Honestly, when it comes to Bryant, I’ve got my doubts about whether we'll even see him step foot on the court tonight.

Look, given where we are in the season, I honestly doubt they’re going to take any big risks with him tonight against the Hornets—especially since Charlotte has already dropped both their games against us this year. He didn't even get much action against the Suns, and we all know he's never had a good time playing them anyway. Plus, look at the schedule: they’ve got San Antonio coming up next, then Denver, then Dallas, and then back to the Spurs again. Honestly? This feels like the perfect window for the coaching staff to just sit him down and give him a breather while they can. 🤷)

Money talks. Or rather, it screams. Cash in hand... ka-ching. 😁

Not a bad start. 🙂

Dana Baker2 said:I’m leaning towards grabbing Griffin and Pau too. But Monroe? Man, I don't know. That guy is a total wildcard, kind of like how Orlando plays. 🤣
My initial pick was Love, but now my buddy is totally rubbing it in my face with this 21.5 plus five parlays thing.
Thinking about taking the under on Indiana-Toronto, especially if Bargnani stays sidelined. Or maybe even the under on Utah-San Antonio.

I'm with you on Orlando—they're a complete mess right now. 🤣

That said, Detroit has absolutely wrecked them over the last three games (both this season), so I’ve got this gut feeling they’re going to come out swinging today just to wash away that embarrassment; basically, expect Superman to put in some serious extra effort.

There hasn't been a single word floating around about K-Love's injury, either. You'd think something would have leaked by now. 🤷
If I had the chance, I’d jump on that 21.5 over in a heartbeat, but that 27.5 you're talking about... yeah, that's making me pause and think twice. 😁 Still, for stormyseal9's system, I'd take it any day. 🤷

Maybe just go with the Toronto under. 🤷
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
I’ve got a feeling the Hornets might actually pull an upset tonight. They’re definitely going to be playing with a massive chip on their shoulder against a squad that’s already beaten them twice this season—you know, the same guys who knocked them out of the playoffs last year. 🤷

So, maybe something like New Orleans (+5.5 spread) or even the Under on the Lakers game. I’d guess our margin at DraftKings would probably sit around 96.5—though honestly, I could see it hitting 97.5 if I’m being generous... 🤣 I don't know, I'm just guessing here... Both matchups earlier this season were absolute grinders (88:85 and 93:93), and I really think those guys are capable of locking down and keeping the Lakers right under that projected total 😁, regardless of how they handled that rough patch against the Suns recently.

Edit: Yeah, I’m with the guy above regarding the Utah-San Antonio line and that other one too. 🙂

(against Howard, away game, scored 4, 7, and 10 against him in the last three outings)

Man, I grabbed him on my parlay under 14.5...fingers crossed we both hit 🙂

Besides him, I also took P. Gasol over 17.5 and Griffin under 21.5

@6.33
...since this is my first ticket in over a month, the stakes aren't huge, but hey, it’d be nice to win something for once...😛

Walter Reed3 said:What do you guys think? Will A. Bynum go over 18.5 tonight (LAL)? He went over last time because Kobe wasn't playing. I haven't heard anything about whether Kobe is ready tonight—anyone got intel on if he's actually suited up?

I went with Gasol over 17.5. Seems like a safer bet than that skinny, high-strung guy 🤷 (last game he dropped 30 on the Suns, then put up just over 21 against the Hornets at the Staples Center about ten days ago even with Kobe taking 20 shots; plus back in mid-March during an away game, he hit exactly 18 with another 20+ looks from Kobe). I'm thinking Pau should get about 20 shots tonight, which, combined with some free throws, should be plenty to clear this line 🤷

As for Bryant, honestly, I highly doubt we'll see him out there tonight.

The Lakers trainer, Gary Vitti, mentioned on Saturday that there isn't a set timeline for Kobe Bryant's return from that shin injury.
Rest is the only way to fix what Kobe's dealing with—a bruised area is irritating the tendon sheath in his shin, making the tendon grind and grate, which is obviously painful. No need to freak out over the "no timetable" news, though; there's zero context, and if anyone is going to play through pain in the middle of a playoff push, it's Kobe.

...given where we are in the season, I really don't see them risking him tonight against the Hornets, especially since they already beat them twice this year. He didn't play against the Suns either, and he never liked those matchups anyway. Plus, they've got San Antonio coming up, then Denver, then Dallas, then San Antonio again. Honestly, this looks like the perfect window for them to just let him rest while they can 🤷)
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Look, since they got absolutely embarrassed by over 30 points in their last matchup—yeah, I know, it was last season, whatever—they’ve definitely got plenty of motivation 🙂

But let's be real, Rudy isn't hitting 17 🙂
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Nobody’s even bringing up Rudy Gay...

In the German leagues and over here in the NBA, they've got his line set at 17.5... but he's running into LeBron tonight, and honestly, King James is probably going to make his life a living hell. Plus, let's be real, the guy's shot has been absolutely atrocious lately (went 4-15 for 12 points against the Thunder; 3-13 for 11 against the Warriors; 4-12 for 8 against the Mavs) 🤷

If I had any skin in the game today, this is the double I’d be looking at:

R. Gay (Miami-Mem) under 17.5 @ 1.85
Indiana vs. OKC 2 @ 1.70

So, if I actually had the guts to place a bet today, my picks would be...

Indiana vs. New York: Home win @ 1.50
Cleveland vs. San Antonio: Away win @ 1.25 (The Spurs could easily end up with the best record in the league, and even though they face the Celtics tomorrow, I don't see them dropping this one. They had two days to rest)

Joseph Lewis13 said:The Warriors are gonna try to force their own rhythm on them, and there's a decent shot Curry might even see some minutes off the bench..

Curry is out indefinitely, so where on earth did you get that from 😕 ...did you just pull that out of thin air or did you actually find some intel somewhere? 🤷

Warriors owner Joe Lacob admitted the team is considering shutting down Stephen Curry (ankle), and mentioned "a month" as an informal timetable for his return.
"No one can really say for sure why this keeps occurring," said Lacob. "We’ll get another opinion if we have to. If it requires shutting him down, then we’ll do it. If it doesn’t, he’ll be back playing in a month ... we’re not going to risk further injury." This sounds like the death knell for Curry's fantasy season, though owners may want to wait until another medical opinion is registered. In light of Curry's chronic injuries, Klay Thompson, Nate Robinson and Dorell Wright all need to be owned.

...which basically means there's a 99.9% chance Curry won't be playing tonight, and honestly, probably won't be playing for the next several games either. It says here he could be out for at least a month, but let's be real—there's a very real possibility his season is just done.

...I'm honestly doubting whether Karl-Anthony Towns or JaVale McGee will even suit up for the Wolves tonight, much less anyone else... maybe take the over on Love, but as for the game itself, I'm with you, the Warriors will likely take it. 🤷

Atlanta vs. Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook over 24.5 points

The Pistons have been playing with some serious heart lately, meanwhile, Toronto has been struggling big time at home during this six-game stretch—they've only managed one win, and honestly, that was against a distracted Boston squad that I think had a huge game scheduled for the very next day, plus they just dropped one to the Bobcats. On top of that, the Pistons have been beating them pretty convincingly in their last three 🤷

If you look at the Raptors, the logic says they should have the edge because they’ve had four days to recover while the Pistons are stuck on a back-to-back, but man, I can't ignore how hot Detroit has been rolling recently. I don't know, I'd probably steer clear of this one if I were betting 🤷
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Denver is missing Nene, Luigi Gallinari, and most likely Danilo Lawson and Rudy Gay, plus Tim Afflalo is looking pretty questionable too... honestly, I think they’re all just counting down the minutes until the All-Star Break hits. Especially when you remember how the Nuggets absolutely tore them apart by 21 points at the Staples Center last time (and that specific group of four combined for 57 points back then). Toss in the fact that the Nuggets have played two straight overtime games before this day off, and now they’ve got the Spurs coming to town tomorrow—a team they've already lost to once this season.
...If these guys don't start taking them seriously and actually capitalize on this opening, they might as well just commit collective suicide. ☕

So, yeah, that goes for the LA Clippers too...😁

analoghound21 said:Philly vs. Dallas at 1.75... man, I don't know. Looking at these lines makes me want to go lie down in a dark room. You look at the 76ers and you think they've got this, right? But then you see the Mavericks and suddenly everything feels a little more complicated. It’s one of those matchups where you just stare at the screen and wonder why we even bother betting on these things sometimes. Hard to call.
Man, I don't know... looking at this OKC vs. Golden State matchup. The odds have the Warriors sitting at 1.85? Honestly, I'm leaning toward Golden State to cover that spread. Just a gut feeling, I guess. Everything feels a bit chaotic lately, doesn't it? Anyway, yeah. Golden State.

Hell yeah, Sixers! Way to go! 🙏

Up +14 at the half, right? And then what happens... nine minutes in, they look like they forgot how to play basketball entirely. Only two points in that stretch. Just total collapse. Meanwhile, the Mavericks go on a 19-2 run and suddenly the momentum isn't just shifted—it's gone. Completely vanished. 🙂

Man, what a disaster. The Mavericks are sitting at 0 and 9. I mean, seriously? How do you even start a season like that? It’s just brutal to watch. At this point, you gotta wonder if anyone actually knows what they're doing out there on the court. Just total chaos.
Klay Thompson 2-9
Edmond Turner 2-11
LaMarcus Aldridge going 4-for-15... man, what a disaster. Honestly, just watching that was painful. You sit there expecting a veteran presence, someone to actually step up when the offense stalls out, and instead? Nothing. Just empty trips to the charity stripe and bricks flying everywhere. It’s exhausting, really. Makes you wonder if anyone on this roster even knows how to grind through a slump. Just a total mess.
...

Honestly, Dirk Nowitzki alone put up more numbers than their entire starting five combined. I mean, sure, they absolutely owned the paint at center, but what’s the point of dominating the post when everything else on the floor is just a complete disaster? Total garbage. 🙏

What’s the point? They can steal thirteen possessions and it still won't matter. Seriously, what are we even doing here? Just... yeah. That's all there is to it. Nothing else to say. Eight losses in a row... seriously? How do you even manage that when you're shooting like this? I mean, 1-for-14 from behind the arc? Seven percent. That’s not just bad; that’s practically an insult to the game. Just absolute garbage. 🤦

Rondo over 14.5

Portland vs LA Clippers

but yeah, fatigue just caught up with the Blazers in the closing minutes🙂

since I missed out on catching that @Play Brandon Jennings post, here’s what’s actually catching my eye from the rest of this lineup:

Philadelphia vs Dallas 1 @1.75 (so, like Play already mentioned, the Mavericks are playing without West and Terry today—and maybe even Beaubois too, which honestly feels like too much of a handicap for them on this road trip, especially since it's one of the toughest spots in the league)

OKC/Golden State(98.5)- Golden State under @1.85 (games between these two have traditionally been high-octane affairs with fast paces on both sides, but I've got a feeling things might shift a bit this time. Honestly, I think OKC is more than capable of locking down some decent defense and keeping the Warriors under the 100-point mark; the Warriors are coming off a total letdown at home against a depleted Portland where they only managed 91 points; they're dealing with some injury issues and, looking at their recent performances, I don't think either Ellis or Curry are quite at 100% for this matchup; plus, I'm not convinced Nate Robinson is going to hold his own against Westbrook the way he did against Felton, and I doubt Lee will have an easy night either; I just think the margin is set a tiny bit too high this time around🤷)

and I'm also leaning slightly toward Detroit @1.75 and Cleveland(+9.5) @1.85🤷
