Just got my Holter monitor hooked up. 😬
My doctor says I’ll have to redo this hormone panel in two months since the levels aren't high enough to be a real concern yet.
Thanks 🙂
Here's the thread: Experiences with doctors and dialysis treatments.

nah... not really.

Because you're clearly struggling with the "success" of this surgery. You're acting like they broke every bone in your body. And then—boom—your knee doesn't feel quite the same as it did before, you've got a surgical scar, and a tiny mark from the catheter.

Besides, therapists can't exactly write you a prescription.

whether it's just pure curiosity or some weird glitch in my brain that forces me to scan every single letter on the page
whatever the reason is
I'll read declarations printed on toilet paper if I have to🤣

jadesailor14? Are we the same person? Is there an echo in here? 😁

Second off, you've got Melasma. I've got it too—those nasty brown spots that pop up all over during the summer and look absolutely hideous.

First of all, please, for the love of god, stop capitalizing diagnoses like they're proper nouns. It’s totally unnecessary and honestly, it drives me insane. It literally gives me the creeps!!!😲😳

thanks 😉

For almost a year now, my resting heart rate has been sitting at 84. It’s not technically tachycardia, but I used to be down at 64. On top of that, I'm getting worn out way too fast.
Lately, I've been feeling totally sluggish. I’m sleeping through half the day—and no, it's not depression or anything like that—but I constantly need afternoon naps, and my resting pulse is spiking up to 110.
For a while there, it was pretty arrhythmic... kind of looks like this: 😁
But thank God, things have finally leveled out.

T3 2.92 nmol/l norm: 1.3o-2.8o
T4 127 nmol/l norm: 58-161
TSH 2.25 mIJ/L norm: o.3-5.o
FT4 17.3 pmol/L norm: 1o.o-25.o

Obviously I'm taking this to my doctor 😁 but in the meantime, can anyone tell me what T3 actually is and what it means when it's high?

The initial diagnosis was tachycardia.

Even the basic instructions—the indications, contraindications, all that stuff on the drug leaflets—are written so poorly you practically need a PhD just to figure out what's going on (not that anyone actually bothers to read them anyway).

I think people basically don't read them because they're just irresponsible.

Look, I personally make sure to study that little paper thoroughly before I take anything. Sure, I don't always get every single medical term and I have zero clue what some specific pill mass is, but I can damn well read the usage, contraindications, and side effects. Besides, pharmacists are actual professionals. If you're lost, just go ask them at the drugstore.
to doctor. 😁
Open your head with your teeth. 😠
How on earth were they supposed to know who her doctor was?
Did the doctor even give her a diagnosis or anything?
Look, whenever I go to a clinic, I make sure I know exactly which doctor I’m seeing. I’ll call ahead and say, "Hi, I'd like to book an appointment, can I see Dr. Smith?" People always tell you it's possible.
Get this: I toss my three-month contacts a few days early if they start feeling uncomfortable. But she wore those two-week lenses four times longer than she should have? And did that for an entire year?
She went back there again, acting all lost because they wouldn't tell her the damn doctor's name.

Seriously? She's such an idiot, she doesn't even know her own doctor's name?

Anyway, if she wore two-week contacts for a month and a half past their expiration date, she’s a freaking medical miracle. Her eyes didn't get cloudy or irritated at all? Unbelievable. 🙏 🙏

Look, trying to find one universal way to understand medical diagnoses is a total waste of time.

Especially for chronic patients traveling abroad.

Nobody listed above makes less than $15,000 a month. Those numbers only go up, they don't go down.

Well, if they're overpaid, then we should just cut their pay. 👏
And if they're massively overpaid, then we definitely need to slash those salaries. 👏
Like that $5,000 figure mentioned earlier. 🙂

In my humble opinion, it's pretty hard to overpay someone whose entire job is saving lives. But hey, that's just me.

Anthony Kim18 said:medical workers are way too overpaid

Oh, sure. Because someone performing heart surgery, or patching up a car crash victim at 3 AM, or operating on a newborn, or dealing with cancer patients definitely deserves a measly $50 salary. 👏

If you think they're overpaid, why didn't you just go to med school yourself? 🙄

I’ve gotta brag for a second. 😁
So, I went to see this incredibly cute doctor today, and honestly, even the nurses were great. Everyone was super nice. 😁

No joke.

I didn't even know. 😁 thanks 😁
