Too stupid to see a gynecologist? Don't be an idiot, don't mess this up. I'm not sure if being a moron counts as an STI, but it probably does.
It could be vaginitis. Or maybe an infection from ureaplasma or E. coli...
I honestly don't get why I even bother getting swabs done when everyone on these forums thinks they're a doctor. It's all guesswork, just like that doctor Violent Femmes was talking about, quoted in Sig. 🙂
Andrew Wells44, listen Back then, my mouse spent more time at the neighbor's place than ours. I’d just pop over to get a little petting session in, and then I'd be running around trying to wash my hands and face. Eventually, the swelling around my eyes and all that other crap just stopped happening. Afterwards, he’d sleep in bed with me and I never had an issue. I have no clue if there’s any medical logic to it or if it was just about slowly building up a tolerance. And seriously, don't mess around if you can't breathe.
Ugh... good luck, and I hope your allergies just vanish into thin air. 🙂 🙂
My cat allergy totally vanished once we brought our cat home. At first, I was sneezing my head off, my eyes were swollen, and I kept getting these weird rashes on my arms—not some actual disease from the cat, just skin irritation—but now? Nothing. Zero. It’s a miracle. Love wins. 🙂
And I’m not even stressed out enough for that to be the reason. When I’m actually under way too much pressure, I throw up. 😁
I felt sick this morning too, but honestly, I think it was just the pills. My stomach is super sensitive, and I think taking four tablets in a twelve-hour window was just overkill. Now I can't even swallow a handful of Advil. It sucks.
Yesterday, I started getting this pain in my chest, right above my left breast. It felt similar to something I dealt with ages ago. Back then, I went through the whole gauntlet—pediatric hospital, cardiologist, pulmonologist, surgeon—and everyone just gave me these blank stares. Finally, an orthopedist told me it was just inflammation where my rib cartilage meets my sternum and said it’d clear up on its own. So, I figured I’d already diagnosed myself once, I could do it again. But this time, as the day went on, the pain spread. First it moved a bit to the right, which fit my theory, but then it hit the left side toward my armpit, then under my breast, then even my back whenever I tried to lie on my back or my left side. My left arm is killing me too—specifically the inner part of my upper arm. And let me tell you, it hurts. It’s not like I have some superhuman pain tolerance, but this was seriously rough. I ended up whining to my mom on the phone, and she told me to get to the ER first thing in the morning. I spent the entire night white-knuckling it with Advil, Voltaren gel, and three Tylenols. I kept waking up because the pain was so bad I couldn't find a comfortable position to sleep in. This morning I hit the ER, and the doctor wrote down a diagnosis: Tachycardia (plus some other stuff I can't make out) blood pressure on my left arm was 140/84, right arm was 145/90. pulse 84. She told me it’s just muscle pain and suggested Apaurin, then changed her mind and said I should just take Advil and check my blood pressure at the campus health center in the next few days since it's too high for a 19-year-old like me. I went to the pharmacy, grabbed some Advil, Valerian—some herbal calming supplement you can get over the counter that isn't addictive—and Deep Heat. I rubbed that on the painful spot, took the Advil, and swallowed the capsule.
Now, my pulse is sitting at 112. It keeps jumping between 80 and 120. I just spent nearly an hour lying in the dark in total silence, doing deep breathing exercises and everything, and when I finally checked my pulse, it was 112.
Look, I’m not panicking, I’m not being hysterical, and I’m not worked up, so if my blood pressure and pulse are spiking because of that, fine.

As long as nothing unexpected happens—assuming my dentist actually knows what they're doing—handling the pain is easy.
So just go for it 😁 !!!
🙂
If the doctor is heavy-handed and makes it hurt more than it should, I'm going to be terrified. And if I'm scared, I'll just keep putting it off until a tooth hurts so bad I can't even function. I had a dentist once who absolutely terrified me. It was a nightmare. 😁
That’s exactly what I wanted to ask. 😁 I moved, so now I can't go back to my old dentist—she was amazing, super gentle, and I honestly can't bring myself to just pick some random stranger off the street. And don't even suggest private clinics to me. My teeth are a total disaster; even God wouldn't want to foot this bill. Location doesn't matter. I've got a map, a GPS, and two working legs. 😁
Given how long this is dragging on, I seriously doubt it was caused by milk. I finally feel somewhat human again today, so I might actually crawl out of my cave. 😬
My mom called the doctor, and she thinks it’s just some viral thing. I’ve been slamming activated charcoal, living on nothing but plain rice, crackers, and black tea, and I’m finally starting to feel okay. I’m staying away from dairy for a while just to be safe. As for a gastroscopy? Not happening unless it's to diagnose something life-threatening. I've had enough of those doctors already. 😁

You’re still pretty young, right? It’s possible you’ve dealt with a mild intolerance your whole life without even noticing, and then things just hit a breaking point now. Try testing it one more time, just to be absolutely sure it's actually the dairy...
Yeah, I'm young, but I haven't grown an inch since I was twelve and I'm nineteen now, so I highly doubt I'm "in puberty." Besides, I've been drinking tons of milk my entire life—I used to chug a whole carton before bed back in the day. So... does a "mild" version of this stuff even exist?
So I downed about eight ounces of milk last night and immediately started feeling sick. Then it got worse. Then came the diarrhea. To top it all off, I found out the local 24-hour pharmacies are closed every Sunday night, so I couldn't even grab some charcoal tablets. Looking back, I’ve been feeling pretty nauseous lately after having things like Cocoa Puffs or oatmeal. Is it actually possible that milk is making me sick? I didn't eat anything greasy, heavy, or weird. I haven't even been drinking much. I've been able to drink milk by the gallon since I was a kid and never had an issue. Can this really happen out of nowhere?
