Within just a couple of days, you're opening two different threads. One's about dizziness and the other's about heart palpitations. Are you even considering stress as a possible trigger, or are you just hunting for some terminal disease? 😁
Your eyelid is twitching. Your heart is racing.

Stress?
Michael Perez5 said:"that's good for you"

Well, it's not "good for you." It's not even there to be good for you. You'll be dead. The only way anything could be "good for you" at that point is if Jesus Himself showed up and raised you from the dead—and no damn law in the US is going to help you with that. 😁>

bajki: In my opinion, it would make sense if I didn't have to write down prohibitions against how my body is used.

I might consider signing off on permissions, but I shouldn't have to pre-emptively ban someone from touching something that isn't even theirs to begin with. It belongs to me, not them.

When you die, it's not yours anymore, because you don't exist.

I don't know. Personally, I prefer the idea that people who are strictly against it have to opt out ahead of time, rather than making those who are pro-donation sign up first. For instance, I wouldn't mind if they tore me apart and took whatever could save someone else, then just burned the rest and dumped it somewhere. But honestly? I'm too lazy to go sit in some doctor's office and sign paperwork. Or wherever you do that. I really don't want to deal with stuff that affects my life while I'm still breathing, let alone mess with what happens to my corpse once I'm gone. 😁>

Honestly, once I realized how this works, I’m officially off the organ donor list. Count me out!

Oh yeah, because you're totally gonna screw over the government. America is going to be desperate for organs and they'll still be short-handed because of you.

You're acting like a damn child.
Hannah Edwards said:The government shouldn't have the absolute right to decide what happens to my organs—whether I'm alive or dead—under any circumstances.

But the government doesn't have that kind of power. 🙂

Look, if you aren't okay with donating your organs for whatever reason, you can just opt out while you're still alive. Simple as that.
Megan Reed said:It would be way more logical if you had to sign up specifically because you *want* to donate organs, rather than having to opt out if you don't.

I don't know about that. Honestly, it makes way more sense that if you explicitly don't want your organs saving someone's life, you have to say so upfront, instead of having to opt-in.

And I seriously don't get why anyone wouldn't want their kidney to help someone else. What's the point once you're dead anyway?

masterblaster said:We can always assume that something is causing that mental state which then leads to physical or somatic symptoms, just like you so nicely pointed out. 😁

Exactly. Stress, for instance. I don't just conjure up a mental state out of thin air that suddenly makes me nauseous, for example. 😁

Yeah. Psychosomatic. 😁
Basically, a psychosomatic disorder or whatever is when your mental state starts messing with your physical body.
My OB-GYN handed me a referral, so I headed over to the lab for some nuclear testing. They drew my blood and now I'm just sitting around waiting forever for the results to come back.

That could just be from the pills. 😁

masterblaster said:But doesn't a "psychosomatic cause" actually stem from that imbalance?

Yeah. Obviously. First I’m dealing with nausea like I’m pregnant, and then—as a direct result of feeling like crap—all this stress from life piling up hits me at once.

I'm not talking about cause-and-effect relationships here.😁

And I'm not talking about the entire world population. I'm talking about myself. I can't even remember five times in my life where something didn't have a psychosomatic component.

If anyone’s looking for the person who’s obsessed with the "not for me" topic, yeah, that’s me. 😬

Look, even those psychosomatic headaches vanish once you pop a pill. That stress-induced nausea? Gone after some Metopran. Sure, it doesn't fix the actual mental root of the problem, but it kills the physical fallout temporarily. At least until the meds wear off.

masterblaster said:Look, let's get one thing straight: taking birth control pills can definitely dial down the pain during your period, and for some people, it pretty much kills it entirely. Period cramps suck, but this actually works.

What's up, everyone?

Man, when I was being torn apart by pain, I didn't let anyone near me.

Iron deficiency? in Health ·
I used to take Hēferol back when I was dealing with anemia.
Does iron actually mess up your teeth? I heard some girl talking about how she took an iron supplement and ended up with these gray spots all over her teeth—she was basically counting down the days until her baby teeth finally fell out.

Seriously, if I don't blink for too long, my vision gets all blurry. For real.

Anyway, if you search "carpal tunnel syndrome" on Google, you can find one of those diagrams showing exactly how you're supposed to sit so you don't wreck your wrists.

Aha. And then you have the nerve to ask "what now?" Like, do you actually have some kind of health issue or something?
