I won't spoil a single thing, but I will say that this stands out as one of the finest films I've experienced in recent years...

I don't think so...

I’m really looking forward to this one; when I Saw The First Film, I found it to be one of the most genuinely unsettling and effective horror movies ever made...

Kimberly Ramirez69 Asks:
I’m following the plot, but I can't quite wrap my head around that final creature in the last apartment... We were introduced to all the characters throughout the movie, except for that guy in his underwear, and then there's that random kid up in the attic—you know, during the part where someone smashed the camera light? I genuinely loved the film, but it feels like so many threads were left dangling, or perhaps that's just me because I was absolutely terrified...😁

That little boy seems to be a complete stranger to me, though I suspect that thing in his underwear is actually the girl he was trying to cure, only to end up locking her in the apartment and walking away... god, she’s certainly grown... 🙂

Maybe watch the movie before passing judgment... honestly...

And for what it's worth, the humor actually has some substance to it, unlike the mindless stuff you see in most American comedies these days... well... I won't bother trying to explain further...

First off, my apologies regarding Silent Bob and the mix-up there; I know he's Jay, but I was a bit tipsy when I originally drafted this post 🙂

Secondly, I handled the translation myself, so please excuse any slips—I was essentially translating by ear and timing each line manually since I couldn't find a single set of subtitles that actually lined up perfectly... 😢 As I mentioned in the subtitle description, there are imperfections, but I gave it my best shot...

And finally... I personally think this comedy is brilliant; I just can't help myself when it comes to this specific brand of humor 😁

I noticed there wasn't a thread for this yet 🙂

Anyway, the best comedy I've sat through all year... I was secretly hoping Pineapple Express would be better, but this one absolutely blew it out of the water... Not that it matters much, since Seth Rogen is in both... It's directed by Kevin Smith, the guy behind Dogma, Clerks, and Chasing Amy, and I won't spoil too much of the plot... 🙂 Two friends run out of cash and decide to get into adult film production—which makes sense, considering how Paris Hilton is still out here hawking perfume despite being completely out of it 🙂

The rest of the cast features the brilliant Craig Robinson from The Office, the lovely Elizabeth Banks, Jason Mewes, aka Silent Bob, aka Lester the Molester Cockenschtuff, among many others...

I've uploaded the American subtitles to the usual sites, put a lot of work into getting them right, and honestly, there's nothing standing in your way from enjoying this movie...

Best, bounce.

Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Will Arnett, and Reese Witherspoon... honestly, you couldn't pick a better lineup if you tried...

I have zero intention of wasting my time on it; it was clearly churned out specifically for those mindless Americans who are too lazy to even bother reading subtitles.

Well, I've never really been one for horror, zombie, or epidemic films—I don't even particularly like them—but in this REC, every single frame felt absolutely perfect... I don't know... I suppose I'm just an odd one... 🙄

REC is a genuine masterpiece within the horror genre (if you can believe my audacity... 🙂)
Quarantine is nothing more than a blatant imitation and honestly, it doesn't quite hit the mark...

It was just a notch below Universal Soldier (2007) for me...

A total train wreck... what was even the point of this movie????
It’s neither funny nor interesting, and frankly, I couldn't tell if there was even a plot or what the hell...
Since I wasn't under the influence of any substances, I managed to force myself through about 30 minutes, but continuing felt like a complete waste of time...
It feels like a few buddies grabbed a camera and filmed scenes that were only funny to them, then threw it all together on an old Commodore 64 with 4 MB of RAM 😕
And finally... I have no idea how this somehow landed a 7.7 on IMDb?

BTW, Superbad is great, 40-Year-Old Virgin is alright, haven't seen the others ☕

1/10 👎

1. Go ahead and take a shot at it..
2. Take another shot just in case you survive the first one..
3. Maybe try watching the whole thing next time before commenting...
4. Tell your brother to take a shot at you too, since I clearly missed my mark the first time...

I suppose they’re all getting better... though perhaps it's just because humor is such a subjective, fickle thing, much like knowing a guy who thinks "The Love Guru" is the absolute pinnacle of comedy 🙂

There are some solid jokes and situations, though I can't help feeling the narrative could have been tightened up just a touch to make the whole thing feel more polished. It’s a clever concept, a genuine cult classic in the making... overall, I'd say it's worth a watch.😁 👍

That's true enough... 👍

Just waiting on Zack and Miri now...

The movie is anything but trash... the script is actually quite clever, even if it leans into certain clichés on purpose... though if your idea of peak comedy is something like Zohan, then I suppose there’s really no saving you...

Pineapple Express is easily one of the best comedies out there, period...

I'm just waiting for this to hit theaters, since there isn't much of a streaming option out there yet, but as a huge fan of anything involving the Apatow crew—especially when Seth Rogen is leading the charge—I really feel like I need to see this on the big screen... 🙂

I’ve found myself feeling quite disappointed, and rather deeply at that... 😢
