Dietary tips after pacemaker surgery in Health ·
Hey everyone... so my grandma just got her pacemaker put in and she's finally back home. My mom is stressing out big time about what she should actually be eating—like, what's on the menu and what's strictly off-limits? We tried doing a quick Google search, but honestly, most of it is just vague fluff. We already know the whole "watch the salt intake" thing, obviously, but if anyone has some actual, real-world advice on specific foods that are good for her... or even stuff to stay away from beyond just salt... let us know.
Thanks so much!!!!!!

Mark Smith16 said:Has anyone dealt with something similar? My child is one year old and hit a fever of 102.2, but all the bloodwork and urine tests came back totally normal...

I don't have a child myself, but I've got three little nieces living with me, plus my best friend has a son 😁
it could just be teething. Seriously, just a few days ago, my friend's little guy was pushing nearly 104 degrees. He's about a year old too, and even though his labs were fine, it turned out to be nothing more than a quick virus. It’ll pass in a couple of days... he'll probably run a fever for two days, then suddenly snap out of it on the third, and you're good to go.

I honestly don't have a clue about any of that, but I'll definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers regardless... Good luck!
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
A friend of mine actually tried rubbing urine on her face a few years back, and man, her skin just absolutely revolted... it was insane. She spent an entire year trying to fix the damage she did to herself. Now she’s on Accutane 😁 and using specialized creams, and honestly, skincare technology has come such a long way since then... there is zero reason to be doing something that reckless to your face!
Burned out from weed in Health ·

My advice? Don't get too carried away. Don't let the weed run your life—you should be the one running it. Like, light up once in a while just to unwind and you'll see... eventually, you won't even feel the urge anymore. And if you do smoke a bit just to relax, trust me, it's not gonna wreck you.

Totally agree. It’s true that it messes with your memory, but only for a little bit. In my experience, it takes about as long to feel totally normal again as it took you to start smoking... though that doesn't make much sense either... and someone else mentioned they don't know anyone who smokes five joints every single day for ten years straight... oh yeah... I know plenty of people like that. And Booog helped him out! 😁 As for what you're saying... maybe you'll feel a little foggy, but you'll snap back pretty quick. Seriously, don't sweat it. Just listen to Alex! That girl you were talking about... ☕
Question for the ladies! in Health ·
Shaved legs? No way. Chest hair? Absolutely not. I’m not shaving anything except my beard—maybe trim it down a bit... and honestly, maybe just the pits during the summer... that's about it. And when it comes to "down there," if a guy trims things up a little... he isn't going full smooth, just tidying things up. So yeah, I'm much more into the trimmed look for pits and everything else. But seriously, even just leaving it natural is better than being totally bald. Ugh...

Facts, two weeks. What, you think there’s some kind of big exam coming up? Heh. Thug life, baby... 😁

Yeah, fair point. I had this weird little pain on my foot once and totally spiraled thinking it was something serious, but turns out it was just from hitting the gym too hard. Seriously though, once you start working out, you realize how weirdly your body reacts to everything. Just keep at it! The soreness will fade fast, and honestly, after about a month, you’ll already start seeing results 👍 just please, stretch! Like, head to toe, before and especially after your workout. It helps with the inflammation and just chills you out. Good luck!

Honestly, that doesn't sound great to me either... A bit much for just some muscle tightness, but I wouldn't freak out just yet. I used to get those weird spasms where my joints would just lock up on me, too. Still, you should probably hit up a doctor and see if they want to run an X-ray or whatever... BUT LISTEN, YOU HAVE TO WARM UP BEFORE TRAINING, AND AFTER TOO!??!?! SERIOUSLY!! And I don't mean some five-second quick stretch, either. People seriously have no clue how vital that is... especially if your ankle is already a little sketchy. How have you been training lately?

How bad is the pain, though? Honestly, if you haven't hit the gym in a minute, it’s pretty standard to pull something... happens to the best of us. I’ve dealt with my hip and my foot acting up like that before, but it eventually chills out. Even my boyfriend was complaining yesterday about his arm—said he let the weight drop too fast and felt this sudden yank up his shoulder. Those kinds of tweaks usually just go away once you get back into a routine. My hip used to kill me for days at a time, too... but I got over it. Still, if the pain is actually unbearable, maybe just go see a doctor? Where does it hurt exactly? Look, I'm definitely not a pro, so take this with a grain of salt... someone here might actually know their stuff better than I do. But seriously, if you can't even stand it, go get checked out. And please, don't push it! Even if you feel like you can power through, just don't. If you weren't warming up properly, it’s no surprise you caught an injury. It might just be some heavy inflammation since you've been off for a while. That always happens when you start back up... you get so sore you can't move a muscle. My little tip? Grab some Advil before you start working out. Seriously, it helps a ton. How often are you training? You hitting up a local gym or just doing stuff at home?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
hey thanks! I've been doing a little digging on Google for a bit 😉 and stumbled upon Dr. Pollak. Now I'm just praying he doesn't absolutely fleece me... Usually, the ones everyone raves about charge an arm and a leg... but I guess that's just how it goes... makes sense in a weird way, I suppose...
thanks a million!

Sorry if this has already been covered... I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a solid orthodontist 😉 out in the Midwest! Maybe somewhere like Indianapolis, Warsaw, or even St. Louis?? I'm looking to get some clear aligners put in... thanks!!!!!!
