I really hope you didn't just toss the thing out. You should have taken some photos of both the unit and the receipt and sent them straight to the manufacturer. I mean, we're talking about a lot of money here, right?

rowdypuma20 said:Hey everyone... so, I’ve been rocking glasses for about four years now—my prescription is -2.0 in the left eye and -4.5 in the right. Since my next eye exam at the clinic is coming up pretty soon, I’m thinking it might be time to give contact lenses a shot... I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the costs look like with my specific prescription, and also how long a pair typically lasts before you need to swap them out... thanks much

It really depends on whether you go with soft lenses or something a bit firmer. With soft lenses, you've got options ranging from daily disposables to bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or even yearly supplies. Prices can vary quite a bit—you're looking at anywhere from $200 to $167 for a three-month supply. Just so you know, the cost isn't actually tied to your specific prescription strength. Honestly, your best bet would be to browse some prices and deals online (check out Walgreens for example) just to get a feel for what's out there. But look, at the end of the day, just head to the optometrist first. Let them do the exam and they'll tell you exactly what will work for your eyes.👍

Nah, that's only for the semi-firm ones. If they're soft, you can just pull them right out—either by gently scraping them away from the rim or just giving them a little pinch between two fingers. It's pretty straightforward, really.👍
Blood work: Full hormone panel? in Health ·
I’ve been wondering about how the whole hormone extraction process actually works. Specifically when they deal with Rebro or Petrov? Like, what’s the timeline, who is actually running the show, and how much of this stuff are we talking about? 😕

Honestly, you're better off spending a little extra on higher-quality vitamins. Those fizzy ones? They're pretty much useless if you ask me.👍

And I don't even drink that much coffee, just the occasional cup when I'm out...
It honestly drives me crazy sometimes. I've had this pain in my side for a few days now... I heard magnesium helps with that, along with Vitamin B. Thinking about heading to CVS to grab some magnesium...

You're on the right track with the magnesium. Honestly, keeping up with vitamins and minerals is pretty essential. While you're at it, you should probably check your blood pressure at least once a day. At the end of the day, this sounds more like a nerve issue rather than anything strictly neurological. Stress, frustration, work, college, family drama... it's all part of it.
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I’m on the hunt for an amazing private gynecologist around Brooklyn or even just somewhere in the Chicago area. I really need someone who actually knows their stuff but isn't going to make me feel like I'm being interrogated or judged. My mom has this old doctor she sees, and honestly, she comes out of those appointments looking absolutely traumatized. I want someone who won't mind if I ask a million questions and will actually provide solid diagnostics without making me feel like a nuisance. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm guessing you're a heavy coffee drinker? Or maybe you're hitting the caffeine pretty hard? Do you smoke at all? 🙂
Look, my sister went through this exact same thing. Her ophthalmologist told her she needed to cut back on the coffee intake. So, she did... ☕ Now she sticks to maybe 2 or 3 cups a day, tops.. 👍
