Richard Cruz4 said:I am 23 years old, and about a year ago I went in for some blood work where certain values weren't quite within the normal range—specifically my RBC and HGB. I have ended up doing this test three times now, and every single time, some numbers seem slightly off. I don't eat meat, by the way. Here are my results from a year ago compared to what I just had done a month ago. If anyone might be able to explain what's going on with my blood count, I would appreciate it.
This was from a year ago:
WBC 7.3 (3.5-9)
RBC 6.21 (4- 5.80 )
Hgb 165 (110 - 165)
Hct 55.9 (35.0 - 50.0)
MCH 26.5 (26.5 - 33.5)
MCHC 295 (315 - 350)
RDW 13.2 (10-15)
PDW 10.7 (10-18 )
MPV 10 ( 6.5 -11)
%LYM 39.8 (17-48 )
%MON 7.3 (4-10)
%GRA 52.9 (43-76)
Sed rate 1
And here is the most recent one:
CRP 3
Hemoglobin 167 (140 - 180)
RBC 5.8 (4.2 - 5.5)
HCT 0.51 (0.37 - 0.54)
Leukocytes 5.6 (4-9)
Glucose 5.7 (3.5-6.5)
Total Protein 75 (65 - 80)
Albumin 52 (35-50)
Globulin 23 (27-35)
Is my blood count alright or not? My RBC levels seem to stay consistently high.

To the government officials and the absolute idiots living off our tax dollars—
I truly hope you all encounter some sort of unknown misfortune that forces you to spend $2.75 hours stuck in that garage...
I am just utterly exhausted by the sheer incompetence of this entire country
It is honestly shameful that anyone would even attempt to brag about that garage
Have some decency
Disgusting!

So, I was wondering if anyone might happen to know the title of a movie I’m trying to track down.
It used to play on PBS all the time—probably a hundred times, actually—so it's quite old, black and white, and I suppose it's considered a classic.
The plot goes something like this: a little girl's father goes off to war, leaving her at what seems to be some sort of elite boarding school. Later, they inform her that her father has been killed in action, and since there's no one left to pay her tuition, she suddenly finds herself relegated to being a servant in a much humbler room.
The final scene features the father—who, as it turns out, actually survives, though he's wounded—hugging the little girl by a pine tree; it's Christmas, and they are finally reunited.
I absolutely loved this when I was a kid, and I guess I'm just feeling a bit nostalgic, so if anyone could help me out... Thanks 🙂

It’s kind of like how nobody is born a schizophrenic or an alcoholic, right?
That stuff develops as you go through life.
Personally, I think he hit the nail on the head
and that everything boils down to the family dynamic—you know, the psychological side of things and how kids are raised.
It’s a bummer that they didn't bring any parents of gay kids onto the show to talk.
I feel like we really ought to be asking parents about their upbringing styles and how they handled things at home.
Like, do any of these gay guys actually have a healthy, solid relationship with both their mom and dad?
In my opinion, anyone who ends up being gay is dealing with some kind of trauma from their childhood—whether it's something they're aware of or just some repressed thing buried deep down—and that’s where the root of it all lies.
A little five-year-old boy could experience a trauma if, say, his father passes away and he grows up without him, leaving him with just a super dominant mother.
Down the road, that could lead to him being gay.
I could probably come up with a ton of other examples.
For instance, maybe a four-year-old girl is being seduced by her dad through certain words, looks, or gestures... (and I don't necessarily mean physical assault), which just makes her lose all respect for men entirely.
What do you guys reckon?
