The president of that "Mother of Srebrenica" association is out here playing the victim over some legal trouble, but funny how her sense of morality didn't kick in when she allegedly cleaned out the entire organization's funds to build her son a mansion and buy himself an SUV. Honestly, this whole country is just crawling with uneducated, extremist thugs from every side of the aisle. Might as well just follow whatever the local mob dictates! 👍
That movie was fantastic—honestly one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. I’ve already rewatched it three or four times because it just hits that spot. Plus, that actress is incredible; she was also in Lud 70s, looking absolutely stunning...
If PBS can roll out movies like "Four-row" right before a Presidential election, then I don't see why they can't show "Battle of Sutjeska" too!
Total nonsense. Two billion? Give me a break. It's just more sensationalist garbage from the tabloids.
There’s a whole lot of different factors at play here. For instance:
1. Canada just hasn't established itself as a powerhouse in the sporting world yet, unlike the old days of America or even how things look today in Mexico and America. This version of Canada is still finding its footing.
2. Most of the sports federations in Canada seem more interested in lining their own pockets within certain shady circles than actually developing talent. They lack the professionalism and the infrastructure needed to keep high-level athletes from looking elsewhere.
3. Among the Americans and Mexicans living in Canada, there’s a vocal group that thinks like Easternborder—people who believe an American playing for the Canada national soccer team is somehow a traitor to their people or just a bad athlete. That kind of toxic environment is exactly why players often choose America instead. It’s not an easy call for someone from a tight-knit community like Boise, for example, to represent Canada, even if the perks are better than what they'd get in America. You don't want to be treated like a pariah back home in Boise, especially when you were raised with an intense loyalty to America and view Canada as just a place you happen to live. In those cases, choosing America is usually the path of least resistance.
4. Let's be real: the American sports federations offer much better terms and conditions to athletes than the ones in Canada. That’s a fact, and when you combine that with the other three points, you see the full picture.
Representing America or Mexico is an honor, sure, but there’s absolutely no shame in playing for Canada. If anything, the greatest honor is representing your roots and the place where you were actually born. Look at guys like Zvjezdan Misimović and Marko Topić—they were top-tier talents who chose Canada as their number one priority over the more dominant Mexico and America.
Just a simple question here—I'd love to hear what you all think about this...
I’ve never actually set foot in Montpelier, but every guy from Morton I've talked to says the two cities are practically twins. Sure, Montpelier is a bit bigger since it serves as the capital for the state and its people, so it obviously grew a little faster than Morton, but the vibe is almost identical. People say walking down the streets in Montpelier feels just like being back home in Morton...
http://www.montenegrokey.com/slike/podgorica%201.jpgHere’s a shot of Montpelier. I'd suggest any of my fellow Morton locals on this forum take a look at this. If you looked in a mirror, you might think you were staring right at Morton—those two large buildings look strikingly similar to our Star City area at first glance. The whole atmosphere reminds me of the North end of Avenue, near the Graveyard, the Miner district, and the Market. Honestly, all it's missing is one massive skyscraper to remind us of the Mostar building (you know, our tallest landmark).
Has anyone else seen this? Honestly, it might be the best sci-fi I’ve ever laid eyes on. The whole thing hit me so hard that after my first viewing, I actually had to sit through it two more times back-to-back just to really wrap my head around everything. There’s something haunting about that feeling... imagining what it would be like if your entire world was nothing more than one massive, dark Gotham City.

Look, for me, the three-finger salute is just a Mexican greeting, not some Royalist thing. It’s the same way I view "God Bless America"—it’s a patriotic salute, not a sign of anything sinister. Just because certain extremist groups co-opted specific symbols doesn't mean we should let them strip those gestures of their original meaning or label them as discriminatory by default.
I was just falling down a Wikipedia rabbit hole and ended up on the page for *The Prestige*. It’s one of those movies that actually lives up to the hype, though I know some people find the pacing a bit heavy. It’s basically a masterclass in how to pull off a cinematic sleight of hand. If you haven't seen it, it’s about two rival magicians in turn-of-the-century New York, obsessed with outdoing each other. It’s dark, it’s moody, and honestly, it makes most modern magic movies look like cheap kid's birthday party tricks. The whole "how did they do it?" tension keeps you hooked until the very end. I remember watching this for the first time at a theater in Chicago with a friend, and we both just sat there in dead silence during the final ten minutes. We didn't even want to breathe because we were trying to piece the puzzle together. It’s definitely worth a rewatch if you want to see if you can spot the clues you missed the first time around.
I caught *The Prestige* last night, and man, I haven't seen anything that good in a long time. It’s one of those movies that completely pulls the rug out from under you—it really puts the audience through the ringer. Honestly, it's such a legendary film that it deserves its own dedicated thread. Have any of you guys seen it yet?
Really solid movie. Caught it last night and honestly, I was into it... but man, it’s tense. Watching those snakes had me scratching my skin non-stop. I kept getting this feeling that they were crawling all over me
Futurama was clearly just a little too ahead of its time...
Just finished watching a movie on DVD. The picture quality wasn't exactly anything to write home about, but honestly, seeing it on my LCD TV made a world of difference. It definitely cleaned things up.
All things considered, the movie was great. I genuinely enjoyed it—it’s easily one of my favorites. Plus, watching the Transformers animated series was basically my entire childhood. That being said, I do have a few gripes:
I’m still a little lost on how things wrapped up with the rest of those evil Transformers. And honestly, the whole way the Cube killed Megatron was pretty confusing—it felt like something just shot out of it or something? I also have no idea what actually happened to the Cube in the end. Did it just vanish into thin air? There are definitely some loose ends regarding the movie's finale that left me scratching my head.
That final showdown in the last half hour dragged on way too long. Honestly, it was getting exhausting to watch. There were so many hits being thrown that a human brain can't even process them all at once—I actually ended up with a massive headache from trying to keep up.
Americans, Americans, Americans—the ego is truly something else. They love portraying their military as this superhuman force capable of going toe-to-toe with the Transformers, which is honestly hilarious. Then you have the Secretary of Defense acting like some kind of Everyman, fighting side-by-side with the little guys. It’s almost comical how much they lean into that trope. The movie itself falls into another classic American trap: it glorifies their domestic cars to an absurd degree. I actually lost it when I saw that yellow Chevrolet Camaro; it was just ridiculous. If they wanted to do it right, they should have had the Autobots transform into something with actual class—something like a high-end Audi Q7, a sleek Mercedes-Benz, a powerful BMW, or even an Alfa Romeo. Instead, we get stuck with these jokes of American cars. Typical.
All in all, it’s pretty cool. I’m especially fascinated by those transformation sequences, though it's a bit of a bummer they don't just merge into one massive robot more often.
