🤣 How on earth can you be so certain that I am not 🤣 😂 On a side note, I find that certain organs actually possess more aesthetic appeal than some people's faces 😲 What kind of sense of humor have you developed, truly 🙂 (My apologies, dear friends, I seem to be feeling a bit frayed today; I suppose I was just looking for a little mischief to occupy myself)
I suspect the thread starter wasn't actually referring to patients of that nature 😁 but rather, you know, those who enjoy more standard, vanilla fetishes.
However, since we have opened this particular door, I have a close friend who is quite the dedicated enthusiast. He is absolutely obsessed with latex, rubber, PVC, masks, and all that sort of thing; nothing else seems to do it for him at all. And, I must add, it is certainly not an inexpensive hobby...
Here is the technical term you’re looking for: vanity.
By the way, did you happen to miss the thread regarding torsos? Aside from that, Brian Banks is currently locked in a standoff with adult film actors. I have to ask, why is it that you only seem to pin negative traits on women? In other words, why are you being so sexist?
While we are on the subject, from a purely psychological standpoint, I find myself wondering why such a thing would bother a young man... I mean, what is actually wrong with him? 🥳
Hahahaha... honestly, I’ve always had a bit of a thing for men 🤣
But really, there was this one phase where I was actually obsessed with my boyfriends' underwear, if you can believe it... pffffffffffffff Though, thankfully, that little phase has passed
Hehe, it seems this discussion on fetishes has somehow morphed into a thread all about feet 🤣 I don't personally view it as anything particularly sinister. Beyond all that, if one considers that "fetish" carries a certain religious weight before it ever takes on a sexual connotation... 🙂
Across various cultures throughout history, feet have played a significant erotic role; there is absolutely nothing pathological or shameful about that.
When we speak of fetishism in a strictly sexual context, my view is that it occurs when someone—and yes, this applies to women as well, I am quite certain of that—develops an exclusive fixation on a specific body part, or perhaps a particular type of clothing, to the point where they cannot experience arousal or intimacy without it. In that sense, true fetishism acts as a form of dehumanization toward the sexual "object," which I believe is what truly unsettles us.

That resonates with me...
But what is the actual connection between the Scorpion and Libra Venus in this context?
No shit, 😬 those are some pretty heavy claims to make regarding how 'most people snap'... Why don't they just—you know—give up? And what kind of insights are you referring to specifically?
What connection do the Scorpion and Libra Venus have in this context?
Libra represents that initial step toward the spiritual—finding balance, gaining insight, making decisions, judgment, and so on. Keep in mind that the ruler of Libra is Venus, who is considered a very significant spiritual teacher among the Indian traditions.
No shit. 😬 These are some pretty heavy assumptions to suggest that 'most people go crazy'. Why don't they just... give up? What kind of insights are you referring to here?
Um, I didn't say "most," I said "many." The reason is that the situation is quite serious; not everyone can handle psychological shifts in the same way. That is why building a very subtle body is essential, which requires a disciplined approach to spirituality. Many people dive headfirst into the deep end—they start meditating twelve hours a day immediately because their chakras are opening or energies are flowing, etc.—but they haven't built the foundation to sustain it. They didn't start by meditating for an hour a day and gradually increasing it; instead, they jumped straight to twelve, and then they fall into Nigredo and become completely disoriented. They don't understand what broke within them or how much "worse" they are now than before they started. At that point, there is no "giving up." It is simply a phase in spiritual development. You can't just "quit" depression, you see?
I was referring to those first realizations in a spiritual life, where every person feels happy, blissful, and fulfilled, leading a beginner to believe that is all the path has to offer. But once the "cleansing" begins—the putrefaction and the confrontation with death—then it's a whole different story...🙂
I am quite uncertain as to how much detail I should provide. My own personal experiences feel far too intimate and profound for me to simply write them down here.
The Scorpion represents, following Libra, that pivotal transition from the material realm into the spiritual one. It is a process characterized by the burning away and subsequent decay of the ego—all those titles and labels we used to decorate ourselves—and an encounter with death itself, or rather, a shift in consciousness, albeit through a harsh and unlovely medium. We are talking about spiritual insights that arrive unbidden or catch us entirely off guard. This often manifests as a prolonged period of depression, lethargy, and a sense of utter emptiness, which can drag on for quite some time. It serves as the first true trial on the spiritual path; the weakest among us often falter here, only to resume their journey in subsequent lifetimes.
Many who experience this find themselves losing their grip on reality. This phase typically follows that initial burst of euphoria one feels when they first begin walking the path of enlightenment.
Regarding Indian astrology, this period is linked to Saturn transiting over one's natal Moon—the Sadhe Sat—a seven-year stretch of misfortune where even a king might find himself reduced to a beggar.
Furthermore, I wouldn't necessarily link it to the Abyss, but rather to Paroket. Though, of course, that is merely my own perspective...😁 In that sense, it is also intrinsically tied to the Tower and the Art.
I was just about to bring up Nigredo—Jung actually spent quite a bit of time exploring those specific concepts. You have to view Nigredo as that initial stage of spiritual growth; it’s essentially a process of decay, where you strip away the coarsest material aspects of yourself (much like the scorpion or the Death card in tarot). From there, you move toward Rubedo, eventually reaching the final state of Albedo 🙂
slypuma17 said:As if that were exclusive to us? 😁 It isn’t like that everywhere. Even in the most "liberal" American metropolises, the freedom to publicly display one's preferences is often confined to specific ghettoized districts within those cities—or perhaps just that little area we call "downtown," where there's usually enough police presence, surveillance cameras, and general protection to keep things contained. And that's about it. Step outside those boundaries, and you're acting at your own risk, facing potentially dire consequences.
Still, I get the impression that lesbians tend to navigate society a bit more easily than gay men do; it seems like people look the other way much more frequently when it comes to them.
Why is it that homophobes practice this kind of discrimination? 🤷
Well, you have to realize that in certain major American metropolises, marriage equality is a reality, and there are plenty of dedicated clubs or even just neighborhoods that are incredibly gay-friendly. You can walk down the street in places like Berlin or Amsterdam and kiss your partner without anyone giving you a second glance... It’s certainly not like it is everywhere else in the country.
