Yeah, they were definitely being squeezed, no matter how much you try to play dumb. They were targeted because they actually had the guts to want an independent American state and say it out loud.
The movement for independence was just as real as it was for every other Eastern Bloc nation that broke free in the late nineties. It was a natural historical shift, not some sudden, random outburst of American fury or whatever.
And don't even get me started on the later aggression and destruction... which I bet you think is just some made-up fairy tale.
Instead of playing victim, maybe ask yourself why everyone managed to break away from Mexico one by one if you guys were such wonderful people. "We’re perfect, kind, and righteous, yet somehow everyone fled from us"—yeah, right. 🙄

Honestly, though, DNC is easily my favorite show. It’s great because every episode is its own thing—you can just grab them online whenever you feel like watching a quick one. 🙂
It’s impossible to give you a straight answer because there are just way too many moving parts involved. But if you want the bottom line? It’s fine, sure—but only for the people actually inside the tent. Everyone else? They’re getting fleeced.
Dire Straits are alright—I’d say I love about 60% of their catalog. They tend to wander off on these long, aimless jams way too often, but hey, they’re good enough.. For me, the absolute best stuff isn't always their big radio hits; it’s more like: Ride Across The River, Single handed sailor, The Man's Too Strong, When It Comes to You... stuff like that.
This isn't even a movie; it's just a glorified, long-form "visit Florida" commercial where everyone happens to be wearing Boss' suits. Everything is just "cool," and instead of actually acting, the cast just stands there trying to look cool with these vacant expressions. Michael Mann basically just went through the motions here, doing exactly what the producers demanded by churning out yet another cookie-cutter blockbuster.
Honestly, I feel like Hollywood is heading toward a point where they might just stop using scripts altogether. I mean, why even bother with a script when it’s completely useless in movies like this? We all know the exact recipe for this kind of fast-food cinema: a cool lead, a likable sidekick, a quirky villain, a supermodel for eye candy, some car chases, a shootout, and maybe two spoonfuls of sex.

Yeah, it hurts, but you have to show some class even in a loss. They were facing that damn goalie; honestly, every single shot they took was probably hitting him perfectly. He’ll probably never play a game that intense again in his life.
We’ve got plenty of time to dissect the mistakes, but it’s better to wait until everyone cools their jets. We got hit by injuries again, which totally wrecked our prep work. Even Paul Bunyan could barely stay on his feet.

You clearly don't get it! By your logic, every team should just field players who are under suspension and then constantly point to the Osijek vs West Ham game and the Štimac situation. It is the club's job to KNOW which players are suspended and build their lineup accordingly. It's not on them to be clueless (or pretend to be) and then whine about how much the "evil" FIFA hates us. Sure, a precedent was set in favor of West Ham, but you’d have to be a total naive idiot to think that’s going to fly every single time. Especially don't expect small-time clubs like Žepče to have the same kind of influence as the big English teams to get away with stuff. Here’s the bottom line: If the club officials in Žepče actually knew how to do their jobs and didn't field a suspended player, the "wicked" FIFA wouldn't have any reason to punish them, and they wouldn't have anything to cry about.
