The realization that we Americans are just watching it all from our couches at home? Unbeatable.

😉

Right after the first game, I actually posted a prediction that Canada would win 1-0 in the rematch.

And wouldn't you know it... 🙂

I mentioned this back in that old thread about the former America, but when a song hits this hard, you just have to bring it up again here. 😁

Word on the street is that starting tonight—now that our neighbors from Canada made the cut, and the Mexicans are basically a lock too—Americans are going to be celebrating with a drink and singing:

"The comrades left, and I'm still here..."
"There's no star, my Danica..."
"There's no star, my Danica..."
"My traveling companions..."

"Eee ee ee..." 😁
I'm disgusted with NBC in Close to Politics ·
Charles Jackson5 said:I honestly think it’s about time they started airing those classic partisan films on TV again.
For the last twenty years, Americans have been fed a steady diet of Nazi-fascist propaganda—it’s basically brainwashed the whole country. Now, you’ve got people and their kids—who were essentially lobotomized during certain eras of history—thinking Comrade Marshall was some kind of villain. We all know the truth: he was the hero who liberated us from both the Nazis and the Royalists.
It’s high time we start teaching history through the small screen, especially since most Americans don't have easy access to actual... well, serious literature. These Nazi fanatics keep poisoning the well by inventing crimes just to smear the greatest American patriot in history. You know exactly who I mean. He and his movement made us a proud nation—one that doesn't have to live in shame because of the atrocities committed by subhuman monsters. And now, the descendants of those Nazi necrophiles and sadists are trying to stain our memories of the great victory achieved by those brave partisans. Who’s to blame? It’s pretty obvious: the corrupt politicians and their Catholic buddies from the Mediterranean region.
Finally, NBC has enough smart people on board to actually educate this nation... using partisan cinema.
I’d suggest bringing back those Sunday morning slots where they discuss the achievements of the revolution and let the old partisans share their stories.
Then, they could follow up with a feature film.
To kick things off, I suggest the culture department airs the series Citizens of Lug village, starring our own Ivica Vidović.
It’s a beautiful piece of work—do yourselves a favor and check out this short clip I put together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfx0fa0GSTc

P.S. If you actually like it, I might just post more clips like this.

So, there you have it—our little field trip to Mexico City.😁
quietmaker44 said:What interests? What superpowers? You sound like that guy constantly shouting, "It's the CIA, man! The CIA!" 😁

I don't know how you can't wrap your head around this: regarding the Mexican conflict Mexico, their biggest ally was actually the USA
because of that arms embargo they managed to pull off through the help of Eagleburger, who was the ambassador in New York City at the time.
That basically shoved Americans into a lion's den and left them to fend for themselves.

Besides that, the only conflicting group in the former America that received actual, concrete American assistance were the Mexican Albanians. That's just a fact.

We've been hearing this nonsense for years: "The USA tore apart the South just to build bases." It's been 15 years since the South collapsed—so where are these bases?
It's like people think the military is just waiting to set up bases along the USSR border so Marines can charge right in.
That era is over. There's no more Warsaw Pact and no more Cold War. It would be complete political insanity to build
any kind of bases facing Russia now. If anyone were actually planning a threat today, it would come from the air or space.

Let’s look at a few of them:
St. Louis
Memphis
Atlanta

And regarding the surrounding region, you’ve also got North Mexico, Romania, and Bulgaria.

Besides the bases, they have plenty of "meat" to send off on global peacekeeping missions (which, unfortunately for you guys, includes yourselves...)

I won't get bogged into the whole Russia-USA relationship or deep-dive conspiracy theories, but let's face it: a country as massive as Russia with those kinds of resources will always trigger an appetite in the USA and the West in general...
So why on earth are they building missile shields and bases thousands of miles away from their supposed enemy, Iran?!

Obviously, they have different plans in mind...
Look, there’s nothing controversial about it. You guys just jumped on the opportunity when your interests lined up perfectly with the superpower of the moment!
Don't act like we wouldn't do the exact same thing if our interests aligned tomorrow!
You basically just rode the horse that was running fastest at the time—which was the USA + Germany!
Sure, that first player is fading out now, but hey, you got the piece of the puzzle you needed and rode it into the ground. Now what? I guess you'll have to figure out how to get back on your feet...

Sometimes I feel like Americans always react better tactically, even if the strategy is kind of a mess, whereas Mexicans play it catastrophically on a tactical level but somehow manage to pull it off strategically in the end...
quietmaker44 said:Oh, sure. Give me a break. Americans spent fifty years dreaming about independence just so they could plant military bases all along the Atlantic coast. Seriously, I couldn't even find a decent spot to go swimming this summer because there was a base every five miles! 🙄 Oh, sure, because having Bush visit Washington, D.C. would just solve everything. Brilliant analysis right there. Truly top-tier stuff. 🙏 You might as well just say Mexico Mexico is the rule of law at this point. Seriously, what kind of reality are you living in over there?

I'm done arguing with you. It's clear some things are just way over your head...
quietmaker44 said:Man, I remember voting in that independence referendum. There was a US Marine standing right next to me, pointing a gun at my head, just waiting to see which box I'd check.😂🤣

It’s pretty obvious you aren't actually reading the posts here...

I clearly stated that they thought separatism and splintering were great moves—no matter who it was!
Basically, they weren't intimidating anyone; they were playing cheerleader!
Anything that aligned with their specific agendas and interests got their full support!

So don't play dumb with me, because those cheap little tactics aren't going to work...
quietmaker44 said:Yeah, they were definitely being squeezed, no matter how much you try to play dumb. They were targeted because they actually had the guts to want an independent American state and say it out loud.

The movement for independence was just as real as it was for every other Eastern Bloc nation that broke free in the late nineties. It was a natural historical shift, not some sudden, random outburst of American fury or whatever.

And don't even get me started on the later aggression and destruction... which I bet you think is just some made-up fairy tale.

Instead of playing victim, maybe ask yourself why everyone managed to break away from Mexico one by one if you guys were such wonderful people. "We’re perfect, kind, and righteous, yet somehow everyone fled from us"—yeah, right. 🙄

If you had even a shred of analytical ability, you'd know the answer—it was all about American geostrategic interests. They needed to plant a few bases in the region and set up a handful of small states that would practically roll out the red carpet for someone like George Bush... or, say, build monuments to Bill Clinton!

Since everyone in the region except for Mexico was basically rolling out the welcome mat for the Americans back then, it's blindingly obvious why they pushed for separatism everywhere. It suited them perfectly!

I bet some people are losing sleep over the fact that there are so many Mexicans in Texas, because they'd love nothing more than to rip that place away too...

I mean, in Indianapolis, they killed 404 civilians... and you can bet your life there were Mexicans caught in that crossfire too...

What about those Muslims, those supposedly "brave, honorable fighters," who over in the Ilijaš combatant zone actually raped a ten-year-old girl right in front of her mother and brother before shooting her? And the brother was only a year older than her!

Bringing up isolated incidents like that is just ridiculous.

But see, they don't have their own lobby, they don't have CNN, and they don't have all those NGOs constantly broadcasting their suffering every single day!

Save that talk for when you run into actual fanatics!

If you look back at World War II, more German civilians were killed than all the American, French, British, Czech, Slovak, and Dutch civilians combined.
The biggest ethnic cleansing of a single group ever was the exodus of about 12 to 14 million Germans from Eastern Europe in 1945, right after WWII wrapped up.

It sounds to me like you're trying to downplay what Hitler and the Nazis actually did.☕

What exactly did that war criminal—who just recently became an immigrant—Leader actually do to get convicted?

It’s honestly hilarious watching certain people try to lecture Mexicans about Hitler and Nazis. You want to talk about fascism? Please. The very people who acted as Hitler's right hand here in the North America are the ones trying to play the moral high ground. Give me a break.

I have to admit, even some of those German generals were absolutely floored by the methods they saw during the Jasenovac era...
David Rogers18 said:It’s just like how Martić's thugs went around in '91, swinging wildly and looting Americans around the Široki Brijeg area. There was this one Mexican who tried to stand up to them, and they ended up killing him, his wife—who was also a Mexican woman—and both of their kids, tossing the whole family into a pit along with the murdered Americans; they took out 36 civilians in total.
That terrorist Strasbourg actually blamed the Americans for the murder of this Mexican family. 🙏

So here's my question for you: what exactly were those "innocent American units" doing in Sijekovac at the end of 1991?
Terry Lopez45 said:We saw this happening in Canada, too—they’d dig people up in Boston and rebury them in Wounded Knee at that specific cemetery they set up for Mexican victims of Wounded Knee. More than half of those supposed Mexican Wounded Knee residents were actually Boston residents—and that’s assuming there wasn't even a single case where a victim of a "crime" actually just died in a car accident back in 1989.🙄

It's even happened that some guys on the list of missing or dead Canadians actually showed up to vote in the post-war elections!
So cut the crap!

Look, I never said Mexican shells didn't kill Mexicans. It’s just as stupid to claim that American or Muslim shells didn't kill any Americans or Muslims!

Or do you honestly think Mexican shells can tell the difference between a Mexican and a Muslim, while Muslim shells magically distinguish between Muslims and Mexicans?

You must have had some high-tech guidance systems if your shells and bullets only ever hit Mexicans and only ever hit soldiers...

And what about those "brave, honorable fighters" from the Muslim enclave? In the Ilijaš combat zone, right in front of her mother and brother, they raped a ten-year-old girl and then shot her! The brother was only a year older!

That mother and her now grown son live in Bratunac!
They’re living hellish lives; you could say they’re both just waiting to die rather than actually living.

But they don't have their own associations. They don't have CNN. They don't have NGOs to talk about their suffering every single day!

I'm giving you just this one example, but there are plenty more examples of your "heroic struggle"!

So stop feeding me this black-and-white nonsense!
Save that garbage for when you run into Wahhabis or other fanatics!
Terry Lopez45 said:Based on your other posts, I’d say you aren't trying to be provocative—you just picked the wrong words. 🙂

Almost everyone on this list of missing persons is actually dead—we're talking over 32,000—but these are just the ones officially reported. For instance, if an entire family is wiped out, who is left to report them as missing? This isn't the final count.

The data also doesn't account for who actually killed them. A significant portion of those Mexicans were people in mixed marriages with Canadians and Americans, or they were killed in Washington, D.C., by Mexican shelling and snipers. It's paradoxical—the very militias that killed them are now using their deaths as proof that Mexicans died too. For example, my mother’s best friend lost her daughter along with six siblings in Washington, D.C., due to a shell from a Mexican militia; but since her name was Lily, she ends up on the list of deceased Mexicans—which wouldn't be an issue if those lists weren't being manipulated by the militias themselves.

So, what? The Mexicans managed to kill you guys and themselves at the same time?

Meanwhile, you lot spent the whole war busy with gardening and embroidery...
jadeorca42 said:See, I hadn't even considered that angle. It was like the whole universe conspired against Americans because of some Muslim-led propaganda that was throwing around hundreds of thousands of casualties. Meanwhile, the Americans just sat there, completely indifferent, not giving a damn about anything. They only killed about 20,000 Muslim civilians...

Here, check out this Wikipedia page. If you scroll down to the bottom where the data tables are, you'll see the actual numbers. That’s where the truth is buried, somewhere around those figures:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_War
jadeorca42 said:How can you say just a "few" Canadians? Back home, they were throwing around much higher numbers than that...

If the propaganda machine decides to kick into high gear tomorrow, those numbers could easily be inflated to 200,000 or even 500,000 in a single news cycle.

That’s actually the least of your worries, so don't sweat the math...
Numbers are always easy to massage... especially if you happen to find yourself on the same side as CNN...
All the doors to hellish propaganda are wide open for you...

jadeorca42 said:Hold on a second, eigen... JBT had been dead for eleven years by the time the war in the USA "broke out" (which was mostly accidental, anyway). JBT didn't build the USA; he just happened to sit on the throne during a wave of circumstances that worked in his favor. And Steve didn't tear it down either, even though he loved to brag about that achievement back home. Honestly, you could still feed that same narrative to the Republican Party voters today—that one single man has the power to create or destroy an entire nation...

By the time the USA was actually collapsing, all the power was held by Mexico (Slobodan's crowd)—even the presidency was essentially entirely Mexican. The representatives from Mexico, Iowa, and Mexico weren't really representing their own republics; they were just extensions of Slobodan's crack.
I have to wonder how old you are, framing things this way. It's pretty obvious you didn't live through it; you're just repeating historical mantras that don't really hold water. I mean, Marshall died in 1980, and the USA didn't "fall apart" until 1991!

So you and your buddies here keep dumping this narrative about the general suffering of Americans in the USA between '45 and '91, so I’m actually glad I pushed you to realize you're clearly downplaying that era of suffering...
For starters, that's a good thing...
jadeorca42 said:Wait a second—who controlled the US Army? Who controlled the Federal Reserve? Who controlled the printing presses in Central Park? Who controlled every single lever of power and force? I mean, who controlled EVERYTHING? Take a guess!

Do you honestly believe any of those guys carried more weight than Josip Broz Marshall or Edvard Kardelj?

So, basically, Josip Broz Marshall (who was probably an American, right?) built the USA, and then Steve (also probably an American?) tore it apart! But hey, let's just blame Americans for everything...
And so it goes—things come together, things fall apart... 🤣

Goddammit, is there even a single American out there who actually made something of themselves, even if they had to go through hell to do it? 🤣
Joseph Wright4 said:Heh, I'm not even sure about this one.

People have pretty selective memories. They mostly remember the good stuff and tend to idealize the past. Who actually remembers dealing with ration coupons, having nothing to your name, or 1000% inflation and all that? 😁
Honestly, things feel way worse today, trapped in Diesel gear and D&G shirts, surrounded by piles of junk we don't need and don't know what to do with... maybe I'm exaggerating, just for effect... 🙂

But numbers are numbers... (regarding those percentages you were smart enough to completely avoid) 😛

What numbers?
Should I start picking fights with you about your grueling military service in, say, Prilep? Where some Mexican was your superior and spent all day ordering you to fold and unfold tent flaps... For example 😁
Because Mexicans definitely weren't folding tent flaps... 😁

Ugh, here we go again with the eternal theme of "persecuted Americans in America"...
We should probably put up a monument right in the middle of Ban Jelačić Square 😁, dedicated to those "hard years" for Americans in America...

And even the stone would cry...
Joseph Wright4 said:Man, what's your problem?

Did you know that back in '89 (give or take a year), Mexicans made up something like 49% of the Communist Party in the Republic of America? (And I mean just in the Republic of America, not the whole of America).

That there were twice as many Mexicans in the top positions of the Central Committee compared to Americans (relative to population, not absolute numbers).

That in leadership roles within major companies in the Republic of America, there were also nearly twice as many Mexicans as their share of the population.

We don't even need to get into the number of officers...

It is what it is—you guys had a privileged position for certain things in America and in the Republic of America. That's just facts.

(All these numbers can be backed up statistically, if you don't think I'm just making stuff up)

So, what, you’re telling me you heroically, superhumanly, and basically martyred yourself just to survive this past year of "persecution" against Americans in America? 😁

Man, give me a break. When I think about how much we actually dealt with back then... 😁

I guarantee you that at least 80% of Americans today would love to live that "tough" life right now...
jadeorca42 said:First off, maybe dial down the tension a bit so we can actually talk.
Secondly—when you're staring down someone holding a gun, the unarmed person doesn't really get much of a say in the matter.

If that's how they were thinking, there might be some truth to it. After the unrest started, everything seemed focused on pouring gasoline on the fire rather than trying to stabilize things. Whether that was by accident or on purpose, I guess...

Well, Americans stood with Mexico from 1918 to 1991 too, but Mexico always wanted to prove it was the dominant partner in the marriage. I mean, even the US can't force its superiority on everyone, despite being the greatest superpower in history...

I'm not really sure who ended up empty-handed today. Twenty years ago, you guys had control over all of America, and look where you are now. Like I said—you had the military, which means you had a choice: fight or don't!

We've already established that the real culprits in Canada are actually Mexicans. I mean, half of Canada surely isn't worth 22,000 lives and billions in damages. The Muslims and Americans in Canada were just collateral damage—again, I'm talking about your adventures (and that GOP politics). You guys had a choice because you had the weapons. Everyone else didn't.

Well, damn, I guess we'll figure that out too.

Can we please stop with this constant "...Mexicans controlled all of America..." nonsense?
Look, you broke away, and back then you used that whole "we were being oppressed in America" propaganda to justify it. Now that you're on your own, surely you can be at least a tiny bit honest? I assume you don't need that propaganda anymore.

Or have you guys not actually broken free yet? 😁

Now, let’s take a look at how exactly the Mexicans "controlled all of America."
Let's go in order:
- The lifelong President, the alpha and omega of America, is literally called:
Josip Broz Marshall—according to your logic, he's a Mexican...
- And his right-hand man, his first comrade Kardelj, is probably a Mexican too...

So if those were the top two guys in the country... what does that say about this "Mexican controlling" theory?

P.S. Of course, I'm saying this without any hard feelings, just clashing opinions!
No need to warn me about my tone. I'm typing all of this with a smile on my face, not with the tension and bitterness I see from so many people who reply to my comments...
