Spots on the cervix? in Women's Health ·
Thanks so much, that’ll definitely help me get my facts straight. I’m planning on calling my other OB-GYN tomorrow to see when she can squeeze me in for an exam. Honestly, I just hope it turns out to be nothing... A few days before my period started, I had this weird spotting one afternoon. I actually went ahead and did a urine culture, but everything came back clear. Then my period hit—it lasted about two and a half days at the usual intensity, sort of a dark red color, and then just vanished. I even dealt with some nausea and stomach cramps, which made me wonder if I was pregnant since I had unprotected sex eight days before my cycle started during my fertile window, but the test was negative... It was probably just stress, or maybe from that light spotting. Thanks for checking in on me...🙂

Don't scare me like that... is this actually a good thing or a bad thing?😠Ugh, looks like I’ll have to schedule another appointment with my OB-GYN... does anyone know where I can find more info on this?

So, I was just checking my fertility signs earlier, and I felt something rough—kind of like a few tiny little bumps. Gross. 😢 I have no idea why I’m even thinking about this now. My OBGYN gave me a clean bill of health back on August 26th, and since my regular doctor retired, they’ve just been cycling through these older doctors at the clinic. It feels awkward going back to them, especially since I was just there recently. So where did this come from? 😕

Hey, I was hoping to hear from any women who’ve dealt with polyps on their uterus. I was doing my self-exams this morning to track my fertile window and felt a few tiny lumps—maybe two or three—right near the entrance on one side. Has anyone else experienced this? What ended up being the deal for you?😛
Just hold off for a few more days and try the test again if you haven't heard anything by then. I'd bet my life 👍 that it comes back positive. It’s entirely possible your ovulation was just delayed, which would explain why the result was negative even if you are pregnant.

Look, the whole point of a thread like this is to swap stories. Even a fool knows that a random comment isn't going to solve my specific problems. Anyway, I picked up one of those basic $11 tests—just a simple strip—and according to that, I'm not pregnant. Ha. So, I'm heading to a private doctor instead. 🙂
Looks like I’ll have to go through with it. Just need a little more nerve to actually pull the trigger. I’m heading out to grab a test later today, so I'll let you guys know if anything comes up.😁
This period was weirdly short. It started on August 30th, and my last cycle was 29 days. We had sex maybe around day 20 or 21... I know there's always a slight chance a cycle just runs long, but I’ve been tracking this for years now. My longest was 31 days and my shortest was 24. I just checked my basal temperature, and since today should be day 17 of my cycle, it really ought to be elevated. It isn't. It’s sitting at 98.0°F. I didn't notice any fertile mucus this month either—just more of that white discharge. It feels like I missed my fertile window entirely. I'm lost here.🙄Has anyone dealt with weird basal temperature readings? When is it supposed to spike in a normal cycle? And what are the odds of getting pregnant with such a low temp? It's strange. Yesterday I had some cramping in my lower abdomen and some pelvic pains. I actually went to my regular OB-GYN for a checkup just two days before this period started. During the ultrasound, she mentioned an increased blood flow to the uterus, which she said is totally normal since I've been pregnant and given birth twice before. Funny enough, she told me the exact same thing when I was in early pregnancy and nothing showed up on the ultrasound yet. I'd love to hear your thoughts.😍

Honestly, I’m avoiding my local clinic because my doctor isn't seeing patients right now, so some old-school physician who's anything but friendly is covering for him. Quick question about the blood test—do you happen to know how much that usually runs?🙄

I'm not from Chicago, I'm from rural Wisconsin. I got a little spooked because I've been dealing with all those other symptoms too—extra saliva, lower back aches, the whole pregnancy routine. As for my breasts, I'm assuming I wouldn't notice any changes while breastfeeding, right?😠

Thanks. I'll wait a few more days before heading in. I don't really know what's going on; I have a ton of symptoms. Low back pain, similar to pregnancy pains, and extra saliva production. It feels weird for this to happen to me, though. I've had two pregnancies before with normal cycles... and I definitely want one more...

Or go get an hCG test.

Hey ladies, I’m looking to hear about your experiences with early pregnancy spotting versus a normal period. My cycle came right on schedule, which is usual for me, but it only lasted two and a half days. It was this darker red blood, normal flow, but honestly, I felt like I didn't even have a period at all. I have a two-year-old boy I'm still breastfeeding a few times a day. My husband and I had unprotected sex about 7-8 days before my period started—we usually do that since we assume those are our infertile days, and my longest cycle has been 31 days. Lately, I’ve been dealing with occasional bouts of nausea and I've put on a few pounds. I’d love to know what your "period" looked like if you were pregnant, and what the odds are that I might be pregnant given that I'm still nursing, which could definitely mess with my cycle. I've had regular periods consistently for a year now since having my son. THANKS EVERYONE!🤷
