Carol Alvarez48 said:A lower sedimentation rate isn't clinically significant. Basically, there's no reason to panic because you're doing just fine. 👍😁 👍

Thanks for the quick reply.😍😉
Need some help here😢🙄Got my bloodwork back today—CBC, iron, glucose, and selenium... everything looks fine except for my ESR, which came in at 2. That’s pretty low for a woman. My red blood cell count is 5.10, which is barely even elevated, but I'm wondering what a low sedimentation rate actually points to.🤷The normal range for women is usually between 4 and 24. What does this mean?😢
Thanks a lot
Itching and thick discharge? Sounds like a yeast infection. You should head to a gynecologist; they’ll likely give you some vaginal suppositories or maybe just an external cream if they decide everything looks clear on the inside. I end up at the OB-GYN pretty often—every few months, actually—because of these recurring yeast issues. They clear up fast, but then they always come right back.☕

Sophia Young3 said:So you’re going to be a few days late. That’s just what happens when you stop taking the pill...

ps. My ovaries feel like they're constantly cramping, both during PMS and now while I'm ovulating. It's especially bad on the left side—it hurts to press on it, and I can feel it whenever I jump or move around. I have a feeling I’ve got a massive cyst on my left ovary. This has been happening every couple of months lately... back in November, I had an 8 cm cyst and it felt just like this...

And what's the point of seeing a gynecologist? He'll just tell me my period might be a little late, and then say once it arrives, the cyst will probably rupture on its own, and if it doesn't, I should just come back and $83 wait for things to clear up? It’s the same story every single time.

😲Man, why don't you just find a decent doctor through your insurance or a community clinic when you're dealing with issues like this instead of having to pay out of pocket constantly?
Can someone break this down for me? What does it actually look like and how do you spot it? Also, can a hormonal imbalance cause a super light period—like, if it only lasts a day and a half—and what’s the actual deal with that when it happens?☕

That's possible. I was browsing online last night and realized that even if there wasn't an ovulation cycle—you know, a cycle without ovulation—this could still happen. Thanks.😉

Yesterday I didn't even feel like I needed a pad. Everything was dry, except for some faint reddish mucus when I wiped. I'd notice it if I went to the bathroom, but otherwise, nothing. It feels stupid to run back to my OBGYN since my ultrasound was totally fine right before this "period" supposedly started. This whole thing has only lasted a day and a half.😢I'm ruling out pregnancy, but has anyone else dealt with this?😁

Honestly, I’m just sitting here waiting to see if my period actually starts... right now, it's nothing more than a light tan or pale pink stain on my pad.🤷It’s been three days for me. It feels more like that discharge I just described—nothing is really flowing yet, but bo😕

Sophia Young3 said:My period only lasted two days this time, even though it’s usually four. Those first two days were brutal—I couldn't even get out of bed, and the bleeding was heavy with clots. After that, it just turned into this clear, yellowish discharge on days three and four. Does showering or washing my hair too much during my period actually matter, or is that just old wives' tales? Also, I've been getting these sharp pains in my ovaries both before and after my period. It used to be fine, but now it won't stop. It's a constant cramping feeling, and I have no idea what's going on.

I wouldn't know. I read somewhere you were on birth control... things work differently when you're taking pills, it's all pretty complicated. You should probably check with your OB-GYN. I went to mine four days ago and everything checked out perfectly, so I don't really know what to tell you. I doubt the showering thing is it, but maybe catching a cold could play a part.🤷When I had those ovary pains back in October, it turned out to be an inflammation in my right ovary—but then the pain lasts the entire day.
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Let me throw a question out there. I had my gynecologist appointment about four days ago for a checkup and an ultrasound. Everything came back totally normal. Then, two days ago, my period started. It was just those tiny little clots mixed with blood, which is pretty typical for me, but the flow itself was incredibly light. On the first day, it was barely there. In fact, when I got up that first morning, I didn't even feel like I needed to change my pad.🙄Then the next day, it’s back to those tiny clots, only when I go to the bathroom. They cleared up late yesterday afternoon. Today is day three of my period and still nothing.😕Just to be clear, I usually don't have much to say, but this is actually a record for me.😁Over the last two days, my flow has been pretty light. I went through five pads, and honestly, they weren't even full.🤷Which kid are we talking about?😕Why does all this stuff happen when my labs were perfectly fine just four days ago?

Susan Walker82 said:Why do my labia hurt during my period? It feels like they’re literally going to drop onto the floor, just this heavy pulling sensation downwards.
That's awful. As far as I can remember, it wasn't always like this, but now it happens every single time.

I get that pain too. It feels like someone actually punched me, like there's an injury there. I've wondered why myself, but I haven't really brought it up to anyone until now.😕🤷
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Most of it is true. Your body and brain just need time to adjust, and we’re talking a solid two weeks before you actually start feeling any improvement. Personally, Xanax never really did it for me when I was on it for a few months back in the day; I felt much better on Paxil. We aren't all wired the same way. I had this one instance where I was taking Prozac and it wasn't working for me—it completely killed my libido. So, I went to my psychiatrist and told him, "Look, I have zero interest in sex, can we do something about this?" He said sure, switched me over to Prozac for a few months, and after that, everything was 👍
Do you report posts and signatures? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I didn't report anyone. Someone else did that on my behalf... Honestly, I think it's just stupid to go around insulting people you barely know, especially using slurs—it's unnecessary when they haven't even given you a reason to react. I'm not actually angry about it, but it is tacky. I just feel sorry for people like that, really.☕
I've had enough! in Psychology ·
Paul Smith16 said:So... lately, I’ve been spiraling into a really dark place. I feel incredibly low, I can't stop crying, and I've been hurting myself—taking handfuls of pills just to numb out. I am truly, deeply sad... I want to stop this cycle, but I feel trapped, like it’s become an addiction I can't break. 😢... What's even worse is how much I seem to lean into this pain. It isn't right, and I know people call this behavior weak or cowardly... But honestly? I’m lost. I don't know what to do next. Please, if anyone has advice, I'm listening... Anything helps.

Suicide? Honestly, I don't get it—don't antidepressants or whatever you're taking just not work for everyone? Just go see a psychiatrist. Tell them things aren't getting better and ask to change your meds. Dig deep and tell them you want to fight through this. You can do it.
Why are my hands always freezing? in Health ·
My hands and feet are constantly freezing. Even with the heat cranked up at home, it doesn't do a thing. Sometimes I try to fix it with thick socks, but it's a losing battle. I've heard it’s a sign of poor circulation, which is weird because my blood pressure is perfectly fine.🤷

Traffic violation procedures in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
Hey everyone, I could use some help here. I’m asking for my father-in-law—under the current laws, does the statute of limitations even exist anymore? Or is it at a point where an infraction can't be timed out? I know there were major legal changes back on January 1st, 2008, but I’m totally lost on how things work regarding expiration now. Thanks in advance.😉

My boyfriend and I have regular sex, and we always use condoms. But one day after my period ended, we had sex without a condom, though he didn't finish inside me.
Is it possible I'm pregnant?😕😕
Also, it was just the holidays, so I was sleeping until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Now that school started again, I'm back to waking up super early every day. Could that be why it's late?

Thanks.

Stress can definitely make a period late. It happens. Until you know for sure, anything is a possibility... unless you're 100% certain nothing slipped out... but yeah, everything is on the table.☕
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I don't want to start a whole new thread just to ask this, so I'll just drop it here... My primary care doctor suggested I see a physiatrist because my spine is starting to curve into an S-shape. Has anyone here actually dealt with a physiatrist before? I've never been to one. I'm wondering what kind of exercises they usually prescribe or what the typical treatment plan looks like. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.😉
Help! I'm having an issue in Health ·
I had that exact same stinging sensation on my right side once. I went to see my doctor about it, and she just brushed it off, saying it was probably coming from my spine and told me to go find a physical therapist. Honestly, whenever something feels off, I’m straight to the clinic. I don't mess around when it comes to my health.☕
