So, I haven't stumbled upon a thread for this movie yet.
It follows Emily, a social worker who crosses paths with a ten-year-old girl named Lilith Sullivan. Emily's basically trying everything in her power to pull the kid away from her abusive parents. Until she can find a solid foster home, Emily decides to take Lilith in for a bit. Little does she know, that kid isn't nearly as innocent as she looks at first glance.

director: Christian Alvart
screenwriter: Ray Wright
cast:
Renée Zellweger (Emily Jenkins)
Jodelle Ferland (Lilith Sullivan)
Ian McShane (Detective Mike Barron)
Kerry O'Malley (Margaret Sheridan)
Callum Keith Rennie (Edward Sullivan)
Bradley Cooper (Douglas J. Ames)

What else is there to say? Wow. It’s just great. A different breed of story, honestly—better than most sci-fi flicks out there right now. Highly recommend it if you have the time. 👍

Go grab the soundtracks for The Sixth Sense and Signs. Absolute madness.🙏

Nowadays, vampires are just hot guys meant to appeal to teenage girls, and those chainsaw horror flicks feel more like a butcher shop festival than actual scary movies...

The Japanese directors had some decent ideas once in a while, but even they get a bit boring for me. Plus, their American remakes are usually total garbage...

What are your picks for new horror movies, and what actually gets under your skin?

Check out the movie The Abandoned. I watched it at night with my speakers cranked up way too high. Let me know what you think after you see it.😁

Aliens is definitely the winner, though personally, the fourth one is my favorite.😁

Total garbage. Avoid this one like the plague. Honestly, she’s the only thing remotely watchable about the whole mess.👍

doesn't matter to me🙄

Do me a favor and check out some tracks from Born of Osiris and Veil of Maya. I’m looking for stuff in that same vein—heavy on the breakdown riffs. If you've got recommendations, lay them on me.

Yeah, I've actually checked out the Winds of Plague album, Decimate the Weak.

Anyone here actually into this specific subgenre of metal?
I recently stumbled upon this whole sound
A few bands I've been digging lately include Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and The Faceless

Got any recommendations for other bands playing in this style?
