Go ahead and keep making jokes about the President if you want, but once Thursday rolls around, there isn't a thing in this world that can ruin my mood...😁 😘
Unfortunately, I've had enough firsthand experience to know this just doesn't work. And since I’ve personally been slapped with 500-point penalties for much smaller infractions, I'm not about to let this slide without consequence—even if we are technically operating within the confines of a private forum.😉
I think Bruno Mars is brilliant because Sacha Baron Cohen uses those cheap little pranks and low-budget stunts to expose nothing but pure hypocrisy, stupidity, and shallow vanity.
I happen to be quite well-informed on this matter, a fact that wouldn't take much effort for anyone to verify, so there’s really no need for the collective panic or the sudden influx of new conspiracy theories😉
And who exactly are you, and what makes you feel like you have any business weighing in on this thread? Do you actually have a bone to pick with MrBeast too?
I think the part where you politely imply—using both an image and your words—how banal I have to be for you to actually understand me, is really just your way of indirectly signaling that we're at odds.😉
Calling this trolling or assuming I'm being disparaging just because the post mentions MrBeast is a stretch. I see no reason to defend my posts; I haven't directly insulted or belittled anyone. I simply stated my perspective. In the first thread, I was discussing the ideas of a user I quoted, noting that I actually agreed with them, and in the second, I felt it was unnecessary to drag someone through the mud (in this specific case, someone like Elena Velaja) when there have been far worse examples handled with nothing more than a bit of charmingly ironic sarcasm or a childish observation. But since I already apologized to you—even though I wasn't targeting anyone specifically—if somehow you felt personally called out by what I wrote, I don't see how that's relevant here, much less justified by those oddly friendly threats you've been sending via private message.🤷
I wouldn't go so far as to say I was painting anyone in a bad light😉, but rather I was merely making a subtle jab at your general vibe and the way you moderate—which, frankly, often devolves into posts that feel less like moderation and more like a smear campaign. Your entire approach reeks of an intense narcissism, as if you’re trying to mask a total lack of depth by performing this exaggerated, faux-intellectual persona over topics that are, quite honestly, trivial😉 :
p.s. the first thread is about a commercial featuring Elvis Presley; if we’re supposed to derive the very meaning of human existence from a jingle like that, then please accept my apologies for my childish observation😉
I also have a formal complaint regarding the moderator known as northerncrane4. Essentially, earlier today on the Sunday at 2 thread within the Television subforum, I submitted a high-quality post—one devoid of any insults or trolling—which, well, simply didn't align with the specific mindset of the aforementioned moderator, who seems to tolerate nothing but posts that mirror his own views. He deleted my contribution and sent me a private message warning me that if I continued to express an opinion that was, to put it mildly, contrary to his own—specifically regarding my utter disdain for a certain individual whom I don't even find worthy of such contempt—I would receive a ban for trolling. Since I am familiar with how administrators operate, I understand that deleted posts remain clearly visible to them, and I assume this forum functions under similar principles; therefore, I am requesting a thorough review to determine whether my post actually contained any insults, nonsense, or troll-like content that justified its removal, alongside a brief investigation into the conduct of said
I’d put my money on American Beauty which was playing at your place last night, though if I actually had to pick which LOTR installment takes the Oscar for Best Picture, it would be The Fellowship of the Ring by a long shot over The Return of the King. I also have to call out the difference between myself and those supposedly "profound" critics who feel the need to overanalyze everything until they decide LOTR is just mindless garbage; personally, I think it’s phenomenal. It’s easily the greatest trilogy ever made. I could probably sit through it hundreds of times without getting bored... the costumes, the sets, the cinematography, the characters, the script—it all hits the mark so perfectly that I honestly can't recall a single book that was adapted to the screen quite this flawlessly.👍
