Nicholas Chase34 said:Looks like we’ve got a midnight showdown brewing between Philly and Toronto! It's going to be a late one for anyone tuning in from the East Coast, but honestly, there's nothing quite like that late-night sports energy when the stakes feel high and the whole house is quiet. It's basically like staying up way too late at a diner in New Jersey just to catch the best slice of pie—totally worth the sleep deprivation if the game delivers. Let's see if Philly can hold their ground or if Toronto pulls off the upset! If you're looking for a solid play today, I’d say definitely keep an eye on DeMar DeRozan to land under 17.5 points at +115 odds—he’s looking like a pretty strong favorite for that one.
Man, I’ve been getting picked off for half a point two nights in a row now. It’s like the universe is just out to get my score. 🙂
I honestly have no clue what happened to Philly out there; they completely fell off a cliff in the fourth quarter, putting up a measly seven points like they suddenly forgot how to play basketball. 😲
Lawrence Castillo76 said:He did not return to the game and should be considered day-to-day for now. Iguodala said that his vision remains a "little blurry," and said that he had been "seeing double" after being poked in the eye. Man, I'm honestly not totally sure if he'll suit up, but if I had to put my money on it, I'd say probably not since they don't have another matchup until they face Orlando in three days.
Andre Iguodala (left eye contusion) is officially available to play vs. the Raptors on Wednesday. The 76ers had a scary moment when Iguodala was raked across the face during Tuesday's game, but it appears all is well. Deploy him as usual.🙂
01:00 Philadelphia vs. Toronto tip: DeMar DeRozan under 17.5 points @ 1.85, Favorite
Honestly, this game feels pretty meaningless for the Toronto squad since their playoff hopes are basically non-existent at this point. On the flip side, you’ve got Philly over here trying to lock down the best possible seeding before the postseason kicks off. With teams like Milwaukee and New York breathing down their necks, the Sixers can't afford even one slip-up if they want to stay in control of their destiny. If you ask me—and I bet the guys in Toronto are thinking along these same lines—it might actually be in their best interest to just take the loss here to boost those odds for the upcoming NBA Draft lottery. So, if Toronto is looking to tank this one, some of the individual players are probably going to have a bit of an off night, and I think DeRozan is the most likely candidate to struggle slightly.
DeRozan is definitely one of those players who feeds off the home crowd energy, usually putting in a massive effort when he's playing in front of his own fans, which shows in how much his stats jump compared to when he's on the road(hitting 18.9 PPG at home versus just 14.5 PPG on the road).
The thing is, Philly is rocking the absolute best defense in the entire league right now, holding opponents to a measly 84.4 PPG at their home arena. They are especially nasty when defending the perimeter, particularly at the small forward spot where Iguodala hangs out, and more importantly, at the shooting guard position where DeRozan operates. Looking back at the last time these two met in Philly, DeRozan was practically invisible, putting up only 8 points on 4-11 shooting. He managed to scrape 6 points from transition plays, but he could only sink a single spot-up jumper. The Sixers absolutely shut him down. Plus, Bargnani has really started stepping up as the team leader, which naturally pushes DeRozan further down the pecking order. All things considered, it's gonna be a massive uphill battle for DeRozan to put up big numbers against the league's top-tier defense, especially with that subtle incentive for Toronto to lose. Going with the under feels like the smartest play here. 🤷
Nicholas Chase34 said:I honestly feel like it’s just better to give it a shot and see what happens. I’m thinking we take the under on that Orlando game, specifically anything under 94.5 points, and honestly, at 1.85 odds, it feels like a pretty sweet deal to me.
Man, we just missed it by a hair—half a basket, too, and all because of that clutch three-pointer from Davis. 🙂 🤦
8:45 PM Real Madrid vs. APOEL tip: total goals 3-5 @ 1.72 FanDuel
The odds for just over 3 goals are pretty underwhelming at basically any sportsbook out there, usually topping out around 1.30, so seeing this specific range capped at 5 goals actually feels like it might have some decent value to me. Since APOEL isn't really going to overhaul their entire strategy, they'll likely just try to park the bus and walk away from the Santiago Bernabéu with the smallest deficit possible, so I'm thinking a 5-0 blowout is about as bad as it gets given how much they love playing defensive bunker ball, plus Real will probably rotate a few starters which means their frontline won't be running at full throttle all night 🤷 ☕
Daniel Robinson5 said:I'm riding with Detroit at +4.5 since I don't see Orlando covering the spread here.🙂
edit: Nicholas Chase34, what's your take on the total being over 183.5?
Honestly, I think that's totally doable too, especially since Detroit is going to be playing without Luka Dončić—wait, scratch that, they won't have Giannis on the floor. With that lineup change, it could easily turn into a low-scoring grind, though I guess it's hard to say how much heart both teams will bring to the court tonight.🤷
The final home game in Detroit this season wrapped up with a 89:78 result against an Orlando squad that showed up with their full roster. I actually took a bit of a more aggressive stance on the Orlando under, mostly because I just can't wrap my head around how they’re supposed to crack that 90-point mark without having Howard and Anderson out there to carry the load. 🤷
Lawrence Castillo76 said:Detroit at 4.5, Orlando at 20/10 without Anderson, Howard, and Nelson starting the five;#Magic starters per SVG: Duhon, JRich, QRich, Hedo and Glen Davis
I’m leaning towards taking the under 94.5 for Orlando @ 1.85
Orlando has this weird habit of playing absolutely terrible road games, even when they have their full squad, so I think it's going to be a struggle. Plus, since they're missing Howard, Anderson, and Nelson, they won't have much of a presence in the paint, which means they'll probably be forced to rely way more on outside shooting. With just Davis and Turkoglu 🤣
It’s kind of like looking at two different flavors of the same classic American road trip, isn't it? You've got that vibe from a place like Napa Valley compared to something more laid-back like Asheville. One side feels all lush and upscale with those deep, heavy reds, while the other has this sharper, more spirited energy that hits you just right. It's basically a choice between a smooth, slow-burn evening and a bright, punchy afternoon. If you're looking for a solid little play to add to your slip, try eyeing that 2-3 goal range at around +100 odds—it’s like betting on a steady afternoon at a local diner where you know you'll get exactly what you paid for without any crazy surprises.
It’s kind of wild when you look at the stats—like, Bordeaux has been absolutely crushing it at home lately, putting up anywhere from two to three goals in 11 out of their last 15 matches, which is pretty much like watching the Dodgers consistently find the gap in the infield. Meanwhile, over at Dijon, they’ve been showing some serious teeth on the road too, hitting that same kind of scoring rhythm in 9 of their last 14 away games.
It’s wild to see how Dijon is playing right now—they’ve been stuck in this crazy loop where they hit that 2 to 3 goal sweet spot in eight straight games, almost like they're following some weirdly specific script instead of just playing soccer.
The last time those two teams squared off, it was a total shutout, with the final score landing at 2-0.
Dijon is absolutely on fire right now, man—they’ve managed to find the back of the net in twelve straight matches, which is easily the hottest streak going in the league at the moment. It’s like they just can't stop scoring, kind of like how a reliable old Ford keeps humming along no matter what you throw at it. Man, it’s honestly wild how much Dijon is struggling when they leave their home turf; they've already given up 29 goals on the road this season, which is easily the most in the league, kind of like if a powerhouse team like the Dallas Cowboys just couldn't stop letting anyone run right through their defense whenever they played an away game. It’s honestly wild how tough it is to play against Bordeaux right now, especially when you're stepping onto their home turf at the Chaban-Delmas; they've managed to pull off a win or a draw in thirteen of their last fourteen home games, which is basically like trying to beat the 1990s Bulls every time you walk into the arena. It’s honestly kind of wild when you look at the numbers, but Dijon has managed to keep exactly one clean sheet in all fourteen of their road trips in the top flight this season. It’s like they walk into an away stadium and just immediately forget how to play defense, almost like a rookie team heading into a high-stakes game against the Dallas Cowboys without a solid playbook in place.
With Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin dealing with injuries, Carmelo Anthony is basically carrying the New York Knicks on his back right now. He’s been absolutely locked in lately, dropping 25, 28, and then a massive 36 points over his last three outings, all while averaging about 19.6 field goal attempts. Honestly, looking at how he's playing, the line should really be sitting closer to 25.5 or 26.5 points, which makes this current number a huge value play. 🤷
Monchengladbach - Antwerp Both teams to score @ 1.80 Monchengladbach is basically the only squad out there this season that hasn't managed to keep a clean sheet once in 30 matches, mostly because they just lean so hard on their offense to bail them out, and at home in 15 games, they've only failed to find the back of the net twice. On the flip side, you've got an Antwerp defense that’s been pretty much ironclad, keeping things shut out quite often, though usually when they're playing on their own turf. When they travel, though, they're still tough; in 15 away games, they've only conceded once, and they've only failed to score in two of those. Looking back at the last time these two met at Monchengladbach's place, it ended 4:2. I honestly think this line has some serious value here, especially since most US sportsbooks are capping the odds at around 1.65.
Lorient - Evian Under 1.5 goals in the first half @ 1.40 Lorient plays some of the most cagey, low-scoring first halves in the league when they're at home. In 14 home matches, they've only put up 3 total goals and conceded 3, which works out to a tiny average of about 0.42 goals in the opening half. Out of 29 games played, they've only seen 2 or more goals in a single half just once (that was an away game against Brest where it went 3:0). Now, Evian tends to play a bit more wide open during the first half, but that's mostly when they're at home; on the road, they've only had 2 or more goals in a single half in 3 out of 15 matches (like those draws against Lyon and Rennes or that 2:2 against Brest). If you look at their last head-to-head back in late 2011, the halftime score was 1:0 via a penalty. I really feel like this bet makes sense given how these trends are shaking out.
Wolverhampton - Bolton Bolton to score @ 1.35 Wolverhampton is currently sitting with the absolute worst defense in the Premier League; they've let in 65 goals over 30 matches, averaging a whopping 2.17 per game. To give you an idea of how shaky that backline is, they're currently riding a 27-game streak where they've conceded at least one goal. Over those 30 games, they've allowed a massive 221 shots on target, averaging 7.36 per match. Even though Bolton isn't exactly a powerhouse offensively, I think they're more than capable of nicking at least one goal, just like they have in their last five matchups against Wolves. If you're feeling spicy, Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals wouldn't be a bad shout either. 🤷 12/31/2011 Premier League Bolton vs. Wolverhampton 1:1 02/02/2011 Premier League Bolton vs. Wolverhampton 1:0 11/13/2010 Premier League Wolverhampton vs. Bolton 2:3 02/27/2010 Premier League Bolton vs. Wolverhampton 1:0 12/05/2009 Premier League Wolverhampton vs. Bolton 2:1
Total odds: 3.402 Bookie: Favorite I'm expecting the odds on the first two legs to drop soon. 🤷
Here’s a little three-leg parlay I put together, mostly just looking at how everyone's been playing lately and how these matchups shake out: Atlanta under 94.5 Ellis over 17.5 Deng under 17.5 @ 6.33 SS
Hmm... looking at the Detroit game, staying under 84.5 seems like a pretty tempting play.
The Bulls really shut them down last time they met, holding them to just 68 points, and even when the Pistons were playing at home in their own arena, they couldn't quite break past the 83-point mark in the game before that.
It’s looking like we probably won't see Stuckey, their leading scorer, or Ben Gordon out there tonight.
boldranger said:For tonight, I’m looking at Boston 1X, LA Clippers 1X, Indiana Pacers X2, and Orlando Magic X2 (that last one is a sweet value if the Knicks are missing those three guys, or even if Carmelo Anthony plays but is struggling through an injury), and I think Atlanta is definitely worth a shot at home with a 1X against a Chicago Bulls squad playing without Derrick Rose.
I’m curious what you guys think about Blake Griffin's line for tonight? In his recent games, he’s been consistently landing under, but it’s always by literally just one basket or two since his line is set at 21.5, and I see him hitting 20 in almost every single one. Do you think he might finally break through tonight against the Phoenix Suns after missing it so many times? I’m personally leaning towards putting money on it.
Griffin over 20.5 in the Favorite is my heavy hitter for today. This is the third time the LA Clippers are facing the Phoenix Suns, and since they dropped the first two matchups, there’s definitely some revenge motivation in the air. Plus, the Suns are on a back-to-back, so the real question is how much energy they’ll have on the defensive end, especially since they’re feeling a bit older now. Al Frye is going to have a tough time dealing with a rested Blake Griffin, who usually plays way more aggressively when he's in front of his home crowd. The only guy on the Suns providing any real help on defense is Marcin Gortat, but he’s going to be tied up with Michael Jordan Phoenix. Their interior defense hasn't been great for a while, and they aren't exactly known for being elite at protecting the perimeter either. Honestly, it's rare to find players who can actually keep up with Blake Griffin. His only real hurdle is spacing, which can sometimes mess with his chances for an over, but if they want this win, they’re going to have to step it up there too. Along with this pick, I also really like the Indiana Pacers and Timberwolves to pull off the wins.
edit: Adding Carmelo Anthony over 20.5 @ 1.85 to the list... with Amar'e Stoudemire out, and Jeremy Lin also sidelined, plus Jeffries, someone is going to have to step up and carry the load—which mostly points toward Mel. As things stand, the Knicks are going to be running with four small players and DeAndre Chandler at the five. Even though Mel is dealing with some groin issues, he’s basically gotta find a way to grind it out. 🤔 Send from Android using Tapatalk
Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins to score at least one goal @ 1.25 ML The Buffalo Bills have been struggling big time lately, giving up at least one goal in 21 straight games. Honestly, the whole squad is in a total slump right now, coming off an ugly eight-game losing streak. When you look at their home stats over 18 games, they’ve managed to keep a clean sheet only three times, which tells you everything you need to know about their defense. On the flip side, the Dolphins are basically an offensive powerhouse in this league, having already racked up 68 goals. They faced off once earlier this season and walked away with a solid 3-1 win, so I don't see any reason why the visitors wouldn't find the back of the net at least once today.
Sean Sullivan87 said:We aren't seeing anything from Deron Williams unless he just goes absolutely ballistic in the second half.
It’s honestly a disaster, and the whole Nets squad is looking pretty rough right now; if Green wasn't out there, they probably wouldn't even break 10 points. It seriously feels like the Nets just finished playing four straight overtimes or something. 🙂
