Robin Fox2 said:So what? Even in China, they crack down on their Muslim population quite regularly whenever anyone dares to raise their head and demand basic rights that we in the West would consider standard...

It is simply much easier and more convenient to go after European cartoonists for drawing Muhammad; it’s much nicer living in Germany or Denmark where you can collect social benefits while just waiting for the right moment to show the infidels who's boss. Trying to get active in China? Well, it's difficult to be a terrorist in countries where life isn't particularly pleasant, and when you lack fundamental rights, there aren't any civil liberties groups rushing to your rescue... zero points.

Honestly guys, the Spanish colonized half the globe and nobody is out there trying to reclaim territory today. People are living in 2015 and leaving the past exactly where it belongs...

It makes total sense why terrorists wouldn't head to China or Burma. If they got caught there, even just being suspected of terrorism would make them wish they had actually pulled off the attack instead 🤣. The kind of torture they’d face, whether they were guilty or not... Westerners couldn't even imagine it. Also, it's kinda wild how ISIS doesn't seem to be targeting Israel, considering they're supposedly the biggest enemies of Muslims. Actually, I guess it's not that weird. If they pulled the same crap in Israel that they did in Paris, it’d trigger an immediate "Wrath of God" response, and Rakka would probably be a giant crater by now 🤣

Matthew Young35 said:European nations have become quite trigger-happy, despite having enjoyed a rather long stretch of peace. It seems to me that both those fools over at the EU aren't truly grasping the situation, nor do they understand the actual balance of power. To put it bluntly, they are playing with fire. These aren't Americans, who fight wars based on cold interest without much emotional attachment. Historically, European powers have dismantled entire civilizations without breaking a sweat; that instinct hasn't vanished, it’s just dormant. What these lunatics are doing in the Middle East is mere child's play compared to what could happen if the Russians, British, French, or even the Italians or Spaniards were to actually lose their tempers. They could tear the North America back into its constituent pieces in an instant.
The real catastrophe begins if any of those powers clash with one another. If that happens, the whole world goes to hell in a handbasket.

Quite frankly, the people in the EU haven't a clue what they are dealing with. They don't realize how ridiculous they look, publishing maps claiming they'll conquer half of Europe.
History shows that through this kind of terrorism, no one has ever achieved anything except for getting themselves absolutely crushed in the end.

That's the honest truth right there. Europeans practically invented genocide and total destruction; they're just waiting for a breaking point so the public turns against Muslims, and then everything goes to hell. I guess the only thing we'll actually see come out of this is everyone losing their civil liberties just in the name of "security."

Matthew Anderson4 said:In the spirit of the freedom I enjoy as a citizen of a developed nation, I defend Islam as a choice of faith and Muslims as people. I'm not sure exactly who you mean by "Islamist," but since you used that term instead of "Muslim," I'll assume you're talking about bad people of the Muslim faith. I'm not defending them.

And Paris isn't yours either, so you're irrelevant to this debate...

And no, I wasn't planning on opening your eyes with stories about secret agencies behind this (honestly, first time I've heard that theory and it doesn't sound all that convincing). My goal was to point out that this isn't a war between the West and Islam, but between the West and evil. Evil that yesterday in Lebanon cost at least 43 lives. Evil that you call "Islam," which our developed, significant world has barely scratched compared to what it's done to Islamic countries and the Muslims living there.
The number of non-Muslims killed by Muslim terrorists is tiny compared to the number of Muslims killed. From that perspective, you could actually thank the terrorists for their work, since nobody does more than them to eradicate Muslims and Islam.
I know you don't care about context or the causes behind these events, but people need to understand them instead of just hating Islam and Muslims. Because if another war breaks out, some of us will need to speak up when Muslims start being herded into concentration camps. You get it? You realize how Americans & co. brainwashed half the world, just like Hitler did to his people?

And if I'm lying on a lawn on a nice summer day and some maniac starts shooting at me just because he can... what's the difference?
Except that the Western world didn't support and fund him for decades, didn't kill a million of his people while he was still in diapers, and he lacks the infrastructure and organization that allows the West to spend all its time hanging out with equally sick and/or evil people.

I mean, I don't know how serious you're being here, but honestly? This could actually happen, and it’s just... it's sad. A lot of people think Americans are too "civilized" or advanced to ever let something like this happen again, but reality is a totally different story. Even now, these anti-immigrant and neo-Nazi movements are surging, and they're gaining ground no matter how hard the media tries to shut them out. The far-right is blowing up, and all this crap just plays right into their hands. You see the far-right and even mainstream conservatives growing in places where they used to be on the fringes, like maybe Scandinavia or parts of Northern Europe, and that says everything you need to know.

Noah Roberts46 said:Why? If they hadn't meddled in that region so much, these conflicts wouldn't even be happening. It’s simple logic: those extremist groups wouldn't have formed in the first place. People aren't stupid; eventually, they realize what actually happened, and we're seeing the fallout today. More people are dying there every day because of the mess Western powers made...

🤣Man, it’s like the U.S. has been meddling there forever. Everything going down now has happened before; honestly, there was just way less media coverage back then. You really think these ISIS types just dreamed up massacres against minorities out of nowhere? Please. Guys like Assad or Saddam used those exact same tactics way before them. Wiping out Kurds, Yazidis, or whatever group was in power—whether Shia or Sunni—was just business as usual. The difference is, back then, people in Iraq or Syria didn't exactly go crying to the world about it; they just didn't give a damn. But now? Suddenly everyone wants to weep for them. They forgot pretty fast how their own militaries were running wild through places like Lebanon. The only real issue is that these idiots went down there for their own interests, thinking they could just drop democracy into the Middle East on the way through. I guess they should have just put another maniac in charge who plays nice with them so they can all just chill and enjoy themselves.🤣.

Honestly, no matter who you blame, this is just fuel for the fire for someone like Marine Le Pen. I mean, fifteen years ago, everyone was making fun of her family, but now? The smarter part of that family—her daughter—is proving she’s basically a PhD in politics. Even before all this, the woman was crushing it in the polls, regardless of how much the big media outlets tried to tear her down. I don't even want to think about the landslide she might grab if this kind of crap happens again. Every single incident just adds a mountain of new voters to her side. The Democrats over there are gonna have to find a new leader, and honestly, maybe even Jesus himself would need to step in to save them. They’re so incompetent that, compared to them, someone like Sarkozy looks like a master statesman.
It’s actually wild to me how some people just ignore the massive mess brewing across the Atlantic and Europe. You've got the far-right, the right wing, anti-immigrant movements, even those neo-Nazi groups... they're all surging. Like, seriously, in Sweden, the ultra-right has their biggest voter support right now🤣, and man, just ten years ago they could barely even squeeze into Parliament.
Over in Denmark, the right is in power, so they aren't just letting immigrants walk in through the front door; they're being pretty hardcore about it, and even the super-liberal Danes actually back them up on this.
I think Switzerland is run by the right too—well, there's some leftists in the government, but even without them, the right probably has like a 50% lead over the opposition. A buddy of mine in Switzerland tells me that even the immigrants there are feeling pretty anti-immigrant🤣, which, I guess, isn't that surprising when you see where they're coming from. Angela Merkel and her coalition are losing support fast in Germany, no matter how hard the media tries to push the narrative that everything is fine and everyone is welcoming the newcomers. Everything that came out from behind the Iron Curtain has been anti-immigrant, whether it's led by the left or the right. Around here, it doesn't really matter, and as for those folks over in the UK, I don't even think it's worth talking about. All in all, the political map of the West is gonna look totally different in the next ten years, and things could get real messy.

And just like that, the media blitz for the Reform Party starts. You can totally see how much airtime they're getting. It’s obvious they’ve got some massive logistical backing behind them. My gut feeling from the jump is that this whole thing is a specific project—and honestly, it’s definitely not an DNC project because those guys just aren't capable of pulling something like this off.

🤣
I guess I just don't get what they mean by "not capable." Like, if they think the party is too honest to play dirty, then they're being pretty naive, because Zoki is out there buying votes like he's at a backyard BBQ on a Sunday afternoon. But, if they actually mean they lack the muscle to pull it off... well, then what kind of reforms can we even hope for?
First off, this feels like major butt-hurt because, man, it sucks they didn't make it into Congress. Personally, I'm bummed because their platform is actually solid. As for the Reform Party, I really think if they can just stay united, they’ll become the third major power in the country. Unlike a lot of other parties that have to start small at the local level and slowly build up, these guys already have local influence. They've basically already made it to the national stage, so it's really just a question of how they’re gonna use that leverage.

I lowkey dream about a massive coalition between the Republicans and the Democrats just so we can finally scream that both parties lost🤣I mean, there's probably zero chance that actually happens, but hey, there's nothing wrong with having some wild fantasies, right?😁
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Honestly, whoever ends up giving their support to this minority government is just asking for a loss. I’m pretty sure neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are actually going to tackle the massive reforms being thrown at them. They’ll probably just try to pull off some surface-level, cosmetic changes, you know? When it comes to the real, heavy-duty stuff that would actually require their voters to make some sacrifices, they’re totally going to wiggle out of it. They'll stall, drag their feet, and then use that classic excuse about how everything is too expensive and there’s just no budget left. They're banking on Americans having short memories, I guess. They'll figure if the government collapses, they can just blame the centrists during the next election cycle since, well, running campaigns isn't cheap🤣.
And man, aside from the fact that even one month under a Democratic administration or a single day of Republican rule costs us way more than five whole elections combined... it's just messy. Whoever gets the support and then completely fails to follow through on those reforms—which they will, because if they actually cared about the reforms, they’d have done something already, thank God they had the chance—should be absolutely hammered at the polls in a special election. But hey, this is America, so anything can happen, I suppose. It's gonna be a circus, for sure.

brightpilot6 said:It’s a shame they didn't include a running tally of all those scandals from the privatization era right through to the Sanders years. Back then, we probably wouldn't have had the processing power required to crunch numbers that massive quite so quickly.

🤣
Man, screw this. Those crooks are just gonna walk away with a mountain of votes again, and the Democrats—well, maybe they're slightly less terrible, but they're still clueless and don't offer anything real, so we'll probably end up right back where we started. I guess Americans are just masochists, there's no other way to explain it.

Anthony Jackson2 said:Orban is nothing more than proof of the feudal mentality within the American right. A guy who defends the corrupt takeover of ExxonMobil—and helps gut our economy through it—is practically treated as a god by our local "patriots."

I mean, our politicians? They're total moral amoebas. Honestly, the interests of this country come way after they look out for their donors or—you know—their own family and ideological buddies. It's not even surprising, I guess, since most of the idiots running things in the two biggest parties grew up under socialism, and half of them were tied to the old Communist Party or its youth groups one way or another. In reality, the whole left vs. right thing in America is mostly just for show. I truly believe that if a third or fourth party actually threatened the grip of the Democrats and Republicans, those two would just team up instantly without a second thought. Personally, I’d love to see that happen, because it might finally kill off both sides for good. Then maybe we could all just vote in peace... unless Americans are actually too clueless to see through that kind of nonsense.

Anthony Jackson2 said:Read today that Tom Davis refused to take part in any of the pre-election debates 🤣 The big shot leader of all those losers—our version of Trump—was so terrified of that communist's son, Zak, that he actually fled his own district's ballot 🤣

I don't get why people are even trying to compare Karamarka to Orbán. It's just not happening. I mean, Orbán actually has real results to show for his work, whereas that guy? Nothing. And honestly, looking at the level of support Orbán commands... man, Zoki and that little spy would probably kill for even half of that.😁

ambertinker41 said:But honestly, once things settle down after the war, the Turks are just going to send them all back 😲

I’m still just totally baffled by how much Europe lacks any kind of actual strategy. I mean, thank God they had enough time to prepare and get their act together, but the organization behind this whole thing is so pathetic. It's honestly so poorly handled that even our local US agencies look efficient compared to what the EU is doing. Like, looking at what roby wrote above, more than half of those refugees are people just like me and him. It's actually shocking how they just let people walk right through the borders without any real concern, almost like they think it's just some uncontrollable crowd that can't be stopped. Like I said before, just call in the IDF to help out and then you'll see what it looks like when someone actually knows how to stop and filter a group.

Larry Fox5 said:Phil, it would be even more pathetic if you were sitting here mocking refugees—people who have gone through basically the same hell you did. These poor souls traveled thousands of miles just to escape death, leaving everything they ever loved behind.

I don't give a damn about your attitude, because I just can't wrap my head around it.

Look, I’m not making fun of them. I’m totally all for helping people, but specifically those coming from actual war zones, not the ones who just pick up some cash along the way—you know, those flashy guys from Guinea, Albania, Iran, Pakistan, etc. Honestly, back when my family had to go to Germany during the war, they had to show a mountain of paperwork and all kinds of other nonsense; they didn't just barge in whenever they felt like it. You know how the law works, and the law has to be respected—it shouldn't be like a mob just deciding what the rules are. They want this or that, and hey, I'd love to move to Canada too, but people would tell me to get lost if I said that. I get that you want to help, man, but let's be real here. We're talking about five million people potentially showing up asking for asylum. Just think about it—the Germans calculated that processing one person costs about 12,000 euros. Now multiply that by five million... I doubt it's any cheaper in other countries, so you're looking at a number with a ton of zeros.
Not to mention how much it'll cost to integrate everyone who actually gets asylum, and then there's the whole mess of sending back the people who don't. Where do you even send them? Back to the country they came from, only to be sent right back again... it's a loop all the way back to Syria.🤷
Helping is one thing, but being clueless is another. Because of this, Europe is going to start bursting at the seams, because even the US wouldn't be able to handle taking in five million people in such a short amount of time. Though, honestly, if these immigrants showed up at the American or Israeli border acting like this, they'd be heading home in body bags, but that's a whole different story.
Anyway, sorry for calling you a ridiculous clown earlier, I guess I just got carried away.

Larry Fox5 said:The real issue is how fast they're trying to process everyone—plus, Angela sent out some seriously wrong signals with her statements. She probably realized she messed up and decided to pull a political U-turn. Having 10,000 refugees arriving every single day caused absolute chaos in Bavaria... it's no wonder things are a mess, from basic registration to actual placement.

Basically, telling everyone there was no limit on refugee status just acted like a magnet for those massive lines heading toward Europe.

By the way, to all the people mocking these poor souls—I honestly hope to God you get a taste of that experience at least once in your lives. 🙄

It’s actually insane—I was out in the fields with my mom right when everything started going down here in America, and there was literal gunfire happening just a mile away from us. I remember traveling from a small town outside of Austin toward the city with my parents in the early morning hours on that exact day when boulders started crashing down onto the roads. I can tell you for sure, there were hardly any cars on the road at all. Everything we owned ended up being trashed, stolen, or burned to the ground. My dad and uncle stayed behind, but my mom, my sister, and I were actually over in Germany with the rest of our family, who had also been forced out by the aggressors. Most of our relatives worked in Germany back then, and some were even officially registered there, but obviously, that didn't stop the German authorities from kicking us out and sending us right back. It really makes me wonder how many of these people will actually be able to return home. So, hey, Larry Fox5, what was your experience like during the war?

Anthony Jackson2 said:Orbán is a piece of work, but let’s be real—that's nothing new. That’s exactly why he’s become such an icon for our local wannabe right-wingers. I can already see how Tomislav Karamarko will be sucking up to him at every single opportunity once he gets back into power.

Look, he can be a total disaster and a complete joke, I don't care. As long as he’s got his people backing him—and like ambertinker41 said, he’s actually got the legal stuff on his side—then honestly, you can just forget about him. You can't do anything. And it's not just that Canadians dislike him because of the whole populist thing. It's more because, unlike those leftist rivals of his, he actually did something real for Canada. Like, seriously. He brought down unemployment, cut the national debt, lowered public debt, wages went up, and exports shot through the roof. Plus, he stopped the GDP from tanking, and now they've been seeing growth averaging over 3% for two years straight. Meanwhile, back home, we act like it's some huge miracle when we see growth for two quarters in a row, especially when one of those quarters only looks good because of tourism. Honestly? I’d take him in a heartbeat for our own politicians, whether they're on the right or the left. Because even if Viktor Orbán is a total ridiculous clown, at least the guy seems to actually know what he's doing.

wiredfalcon2 said:And what am I supposed to do, hand you some 489-page PDF about the education levels in Syria? Their culture goes back 5,000 years. While they were busy counting and subtracting, Europeans were just throwing crap out their windows.

And then, while they were... uh, doing other things, Europeans ended up conquering the world. Honestly, modern Syrians probably have as much in common with those ancient people as today's Greeks do with the ancients. I mean, sure, there are definitely smart, educated people in that crowd, but there’s also a lot of absolute scum. And by scum, I mean all sorts of frauds, criminals, terrorists, and just general bottom-of-the-barrel types. Look, I already said this, but people should be admitted—I'm not against that—but you have to follow the actual legal regulations for immigrants. You can't just let groups of people wandering around everywhere without any paperwork or a way to identify them. I mean, how are they even going to prove they finished college without documents? Are we just supposed to take their word for it when they claim they're a neurosurgeon or whatever?😁
