I’m telling you, it’ll work—I personally ran it on a Q8200 paired with an HD6850 😉
You'll be able to run it on low to medium settings image

That board isn't really built for serious overclocking

Honestly, given how much power this card pulls, you could probably fit two Panasonic remote control batteries in there just to keep it running 😁

I’ve personally run some pretty demanding titles on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 paired with a Radeon HD 6850—both running at stock settings—without hitting any major snags. I'm talking about everything from Grand Theft Auto V and Assassin's Creed to Rogue from 2014, plus Metro 2033 & The Last Light Redux, Battlefield 4, and Far Cry 3 and 4. Because of that, this specific setup should handle the games listed here just fine. My only real gripe is the power draw; the GPU pulls quite a bit of juice, and since it's getting pretty old, I wouldn't be surprised if it runs hot. Honestly, during this chilly time of year, it might actually save me a few bucks on the heating bill by acting like a little space heater. 😁
Are you picking this up from someone, or do you already have it on hand? It really shouldn't give you much trouble; those games aren't exactly hardware hogs. Honestly, I think you could probably push it to high settings if you just dial back the AA a bit.

If you're struggling to run games, you should be able to crank everything to max settings and just tweak things like FXAA or HDR here and there. Plus, it's probably a bad time to upgrade anyway, since the new GPU generations are dropping later this year.

Maybe try adding an SSD if you haven't yet... maybe something like a SanDisk X400 256GB.

How much do you think prices for cards like the R9 380, the 380x, or even a GTX 960 will actually drop once all this new hardware starts flooding the market?

So, there you go. Just look at the data for yourself.

And honestly, it isn't even 20%, it's $40 more than that...

Besides, what does it actually matter if one card looks better on a spec sheet? When you get down to the stuff that actually matters—real gaming—that GTX 950 holds its own against the R7 260 x. In quite a few cases, it’s actually pulling a few extra frames over the R7 260 x. Plus, you're getting an extra year of warranty, it runs cooler, it's quieter, and it pulls less power from the wall.

BF4

Witcher 3

GTA V

It's the same story with the R7 370 being technically superior to the GTX 950 on paper, yet the actual gameplay tells a completely different tale.

Honestly, that EVGA Radeon series isn't worth the headache. It runs hot, sounds like a jet engine, and you’re stuck with a 2-year warranty when you could grab a quiet, cool GeForce GTX series with a full 3-year guarantee for just a measly $6.75 more http://www.nabava.net/search.php?tp=...abyte+gtx750ti

It’s probably already gone. It says there's only 1 left in stock...

Go ahead and bet whatever you want. If you really don't believe me, I'll just snap a photo of the box once I get back home. 😉

It isn't modular, but you're still getting that 80+ Bronze rating. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cx430-8...d-power-supply

Man, how much is this EVGA SuperNOVA going for now? 😱 I remember when I picked one up back in 2013, it was only about $117 😵

EDIT: Just realized this one's modular, though I see there's a non-modular version starting at $133 and up

Honestly, for that kind of cash, you might as well just grab a Fortron Hexa 400 w 😒

just like how none of these reviewers actually know how to build a decent budget rig.

anything that doesn't feature an i5, a GTX 960 or better, and a 700W power supply is just a "junk pile."

It's true. I've noticed they always push Seasonic or XFX units that end up costing over $100.

Why is there such a massive amount of hate directed at Fortron power supplies on international forums, specifically when it comes to the Hyper series?

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand here. I'm trying to figure out if a Fortron Hyper 600 w can actually handle an FX8300 (which I might try to overclock down the road once I pick up a better cooler), an R9 380X, and 8GB of RAM.
For the rest of the build, I've got two HDDs, one SSD, an optical drive, and just a handful of case fans... Thanks.
