What kind of respect is that? You’re really gonna broadcast basketball from Spain instead?!

Hypocrites, the lot of ya!

Wait, someone's actually asking if the Day of Mourning applies to private contractors too? Seriously?
Unbelievable... kids getting a week off school?! Are you kidding me? Seriously, though—maybe only in those towns where people actually lost lives. What a joke!

Honestly, wouldn't it be awesome if we just started every school day with a minute of silence? Just a quick moment for the kids to settle down before the chaos begins. Wouldn't that change everything?
Teachers and kids are just gonna drag out summer break for no reason, right? Then they'll be scrambling like crazy mid-semester just to catch up on everything they missed! Honestly, even during wartime, schools managed to stick to their schedules!

Life isn't meant to be spent wallowing in misery! You gotta keep moving and doing what you've always done. Just don't forget to actually have some fun. And hey, sports events definitely count as public entertainment—we've been doing that since the Roman Empire!

The circus is leaving town! in World ·
The USA profits from every single war out there. That’s why every president ends up getting caught up in at least some small conflict.

Production is ramping up and the arms market is booming. You gotta have somewhere to test the gear and burn through the stock, right? Oil is just one piece of the puzzle.
And then there's the whole thing about Palestinian refugees heading into Israel...

I mean, how does that even work? Why would Palestinians be fleeing Gaza toward Israel instead of Egypt?!

Plus, look at Darfur—you've got a Muslim government in charge there that’s busy wiping out archaeological sites and Black indigenous people alike. How does that happen? And they say Islam is just perfect. Supposedly.
Those Black indigenous folks are running for their lives wherever they can find an escape route... Israel is way too far away for them!

That’s what I’m asking you! Don't play dumb!

What’s happening in Darfur is straight-up genocide! And you're getting your info from second-hand sources on that. But when it comes to Palestinians and Israel, suddenly you're an expert who knows everything firsthand?!😬

Chloe Garcia98 said:It is truly staggering how much inaccuracy can be packed into just two short sentences. 🙂

Let me step in to correct at least one major point: it isn’t Arabs fleeing Darfur, but rather Africans. While they share the Muslim faith held by the Arab-led government in Washington, D.C., they aren't considered "white" enough to escape persecution, so the Arabs target them relentlessly. Despite sharing the same religion, there isn't even a sectarian divide between Sunni and Shia playing a role here; it is nothing more than pure, unadulterated racism.

Consequently, the potential arrival of these refugees does absolutely nothing to increase the Arab population. 🙂

Yeah, get those Africans out of here!
Watch out! You're staring right at a supposedly "non-racist" TV series! Seriously?

It’s crazy, right? Not a single person here seems to care about Darfur. Everyone is just obsessed with the suffering in Palestine!🙄
So they’re building a highway out of Gaza... obviously with a fence, right?
Since they aren't exactly fleeing Gaza for Egypt! It's wild—or does Egypt won't take them either?! How does that even work? I thought they were Muslims, I thought they were Arabs!

Let me correct one thing right here: it isn't Arabs fleeing Darfur—it’s Africans. Even though they are Muslims, just like the Arab leadership in Washington, D.C., they aren't considered "white" enough, so the Arabs target them. It's absurd. Despite sharing the same faith, there isn't even a divide between Sunni or Shia; it is nothing but pure, unadulterated racism.

Look, let’s be clear: the eventual arrival of these refugees doesn't actually increase the Arab population. 🙂

I was referring directly to the thread title and your response to my question, so my assumption isn't just pulled out of thin air—it's based on what was actually said. Look, this massive wave of Arab Muslim migration into Israel could trigger far-reaching geopolitical consequences for the entire Middle East.

Oh, so it's all YOUR fault then? Because Palestinians aren't Arabs and they aren't running away—especially not to Israel, right?

😍
Thomas Alvarez6 said:Based on your estimates, when exactly do you think this is supposed to go down?

You were actually talking about something else here:

Wait, so you've seriously never even heard of Darfur?
Look at him trying to act all innocent now!

Honestly, Muslims are like delicate little flowers that can barely survive without Sharia! (Total sarcasm here, obviously)
That’s why they’re all flocking to Western countries in Europe and the US, where there isn't a hint of Sharia in sight!
Without them, even Israel could manage. But hey, we can't exactly say that out loud, right?😍
Brian Moore67 said:So, you’ve got these anti-Israel propaganda types out there claiming it’s an apartheid state—basically saying they’re running some kind of Holocaust against Muslims—but then, get this, thousands of people fleeing conflicts within Muslim nations are actually heading straight for Israel. Like, seriously? If their rhetoric was actually true, why would anyone run toward it? It just doesn't add up!

Check this out—570 people from Darfur fled to Israel:
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...413031,00.html
And then, just last night, 39 Sudanese refugees were caught trying to sneak into Israel illegally—meaning they weren't even looking to follow asylum protocols, they were just trying to cross the border under the cover of darkness:
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...413775,00.html

Even 700 Palestinians from Gaza are trying to escape Hamas by heading into Israel:

I mean, I don't remember hearing about folks fleeing to South Africa or trying to scale walls to get into Nazi Germany, right? It's wild!

So, from what I know, Black people weren't even fleeing South Africa. On the contrary, South Africa held out against sanctions for a long time because, despite the segregation, they were hiring Black workers. People from neighboring countries would actually come there for work. Sure, the pay was lousy, but they had jobs and could even afford to educate their kids.

The truth is, Black people were actually fleeing *to* a much more stable South Africa from countries torn apart by wars fought for American or Soviet interests. Places where even Cuba was sending aid in terms of manpower and military gear!

Brian, sorry to break it to you, but you're barking up the wrong tree with the South Africa stuff.
That isn't a great example to use. Some of us remember things a bit better, even if we don't have the English skills to drop a link to prove it!

Basically, almost all of Africa was a war zone back then. Just look at Congo and Angola—those are classic examples. I even saw Black Angolan soldiers being treated in a hospital in Chicago once! Nobody really talked about it openly, but everyone knew the US was involved, playing both sides of the fence.

P.S. Don't go saying I've just been brainwashed by some old propaganda machine regarding JAR.
I figured this out myself by digging through different sources and reading between the lines. Plus, there were plenty of Black students around. Some of them found ways to hang out privately. I actually had a bit of a shock once when one guy told me that the dictatorship in Spain felt less intense than what we had here! He was from a wealthy, high-class family but was still on our scholarship. He used to travel to New York just to get his hair cut because the local barbers didn't know how to handle Black hair! Between him and his Arab neighbors, I got a totally different perspective. Most of them were Protestant! At least the ones I met through my landlady and her daughter who was a student. I was a tenant, and she basically dragged me everywhere. I was like her little shadow, in a way. Her mom loved hosting Black folks—that’s how she put it—especially during the winter. A lot of them were seeing snow for the first time! She thought it was fascinating. The Black Muslims didn't really try to bridge the gap. Only one guy shared things with me that sounded totally unbelievable compared to what our Muslims believe. But those Protestants tried to explain their relationships within the same country and same skin color.

Anyway, most Black people back then couldn't read or write, so they had no clue about the segregation politics. We only ever heard official news about the groups that were already organized around Mandela in JAR itself.
Brian Moore67 said:So, get this—someone just stumbled upon a passport belonging to Adolf Eichmann in some random archive over in the USA! This guy was basically the architect behind the whole "final solution" nightmare—you know, the one who mapped out the entire system of cattle cars, death camps, gas chambers, and crematoriums. Apparently, after the Nazi regime collapsed, Kris handed him a fake passport so he could flee to the USA, where he went totally off the grid until the CIA finally tracked him down and hauled him off to Jerusalem for trial back in '61.

Wait, hold up... is this the same Kris who refused to acknowledge the Red Star, but would happily roll out the red carpet for an Indian red wheel, an Iranian red lion, or a Turkish red crescent? Like, seriously?

You totally missed the part where the passport wasn't even in his real name... check today's papers! (It said Ricardo Klement!)

Back then, they were using aliases left and right to escape to South America via those "ratlines."

That’s a different story altogether—how the Israelis tracked him down using that alias! But that happened much later and involved way more digging...

And look, it could totally be an eating disorder too... starving yourself (aka that "diet" life) can definitely make your period vanish. I mean, think about the women in the military during the war—they didn't get their cycles back until they finally had access to actual, decent meals, right?

They’ve been drilling this idea into people for centuries—that women are basically just property. And they refuse to let go of that mindset for anything.
I mean, seriously, who else are they going to flex their power on?

It’s all just a massive power trip...

The sad part? A lot of women actually lean into this whole "ownership" thing. By the time they finally wake up to it, it's usually way too late.

Compared to those regular, profane vibes we don't relate to anymore?
Or wouldn't anyone even want to be like that?

Honestly, you can't really put it into words. You either feel it or you don't—it's just like love. People have been trying to describe love forever, but if you haven't felt it, the description doesn't mean squat to you.

And yeah... that feeling of pure bliss? It’s hard to hold onto. Very few people actually live in that state constantly. Some mystics have even written about how impossible it is to stay in that headspace permanently...

Also, that's basically what American churches teach about God's thoughts. You can't earn that feeling. Period.

In India, they try to reach that through all sorts of methods and techniques. But if you aren't careful, those practices can actually drive a person straight to a psych ward...

That’s why nobody over there would ever dream of trying those techniques without a guru leading the way.

Take the Germans, for example—like twenty years ago, they were using the word "acteur" for an actor, which wasn't even their own word. So, they actually held a competition to find a proper German replacement. "Schauspieler" won, everyone loved it, and it’s been the standard ever since. Not a single German thinks to call an actor an "acteur" or anything like that today. It's not that Americans are lost in time and space; it's just people who refuse to let the American language evolve and thrive... kind of like you, slyviper47.

I'm telling you, some people are just stuck in the past and out of touch.

The American language isn't stalling because it ignores tradition. It's just that for certain words, it's already too late to start inventing them, and you can't just copy everything from German anyway... that ship has sailed.

Germany has much more valuable things to offer as models for us to follow. We've already navigated the language hurdles and come out the other side, thank God, through two massive pushes. Our linguists actually tend to agree on these things, and honestly, I'd rather listen to them than those old-school nostalgics who just want to drag us sixty years backward.

I'm not ashamed of my age, but let's be real—mentally, you're way older than me.😈
