Low blood pressure and periods: any advice? in Women's Health ·
I’ve been dealing with this my whole life.

Honestly, there isn't much you can do besides listening to your body. You eventually learn a few "tricks" to help manage when standing up just isn't an option.
For me, the biggest thing was making sure I wasn't hungry—but if I was? I had to have a chocolate bar ready to go. Even then, I'd forget! One time, I almost passed out at a farmer's market right in front of a fruit stand. I went out during a total heatwave, which was definitely a bad move.

At the end of the day, you just learn how to live with it...

Morning! 😉

Maybe you just "messed up" your internal clock.
My first real fix? I was slammed with work right in the middle of a freezing winter, and I just had to ditch everything and head out on a solo trip somewhere far away.
By the second day, I was sleeping like a baby and waking up totally refreshed.
I tried that same trick again this past summer, too. And hey, it worked perfectly—until I actually made it back home!

Think about it. Maybe you just need to shake up your routine.
I'm just curiousyyyy... 😉😛 😁

Over 550 reactions on such a tiny thread? 🙂

Listen, Pesica, the big shots at the White House didn't catch your handle, but some of us can definitely spot a setup when we see one. 😁

Spot on!

So I was just sitting there thinking, "Okay, time to check my messages," when suddenly—BAM! A total racket hits me out of nowhere! Like, seriously? What was that noise?! Pure chaos!
So, I had to rush a few things out the door via DoorDash... then I actually heard my own voice echoing back at me through the speakers! Wild, right?

Before that, trying to scramble up those narrow, steep stairs to the stage in pitch-black darkness was a total nightmare. Maybe I was just out of breath from the climb, which made everything feel like "stage fright." Or was it?

I basically dug up some old texts and photos and was like, "Okay, here we go." Now I just gotta figure out how to make sense of it all... Back then, the news anchor actually swiped the pear right from under my nose and plopped it on the stand!
I read it, lost my mind, and stormed out! The host practically had to chase me down just to hand me exactly what I came for. 😁

She gave me a kiss. Poor rowdyhawk10! 😁

Man, even heading down into the dark could’ve been an issue. The guys actually held me back near the exit just to be safe. Better safe than sorry, right?

Most people didn't even know who rowdyhawk10 or Simone were. Honestly, it’s like most folks don't even give a second thought to R. d. or F. either!
Why was everyone over at D&K staying dead silent when Gogin (and Paul Campbell3) brought up Simone’s massive win? Seriously? If they had just added a few more details to her bio, maybe people would actually remember! 😉😁

Just dropping this quick little blurb right here!

That’s how it ends, right? We all basically die looking like idiots anyway. One way or another, we're all heading to the same finish line!🙂
🤔 😳

Can't think of anything smart or snappy right now. I'll probably figure it out once I process everything. 😁

But anyway, here's the quick version. Met Atlantis, who brought Gaga along, who then brought J. C.

As I was heading out, Paul Campbell3 had to say her handle twice just so I'd catch it—apparently, I didn't recognize it when she said it out loud! 😁

Oh, and my main partner in crime was paranoid Android, who rolled in all the way from Phoenix. His whole "forum legend" thing actually started about a year ago over at Rif, just under a different name.
Bottom line? rowdyhawk10 is the one really to blame... 😉

Was he just bummed because he couldn't find a real answer??

Maybe he was looking in all the wrong places??

"The biggest question I haven't been able to answer even after thirty years of studying the female soul is: What do women want?"

Is there even an answer to that??

What didn't Jung ask?
Jung actually had zero issues with women, including his own wife. 😛

Who knows, right? 😢
I honestly feel like pity is tied to this whole idea of "guilt" we all picked up from Christianity. Like, the idea that Bog "punishes" you because of some hidden sin or whatever.
That’s why the person being "punished" keeps asking, "Why me?"—even though, supposedly, mainstream American Christianity doesn't even teach it that way.

Condolences, on the other hand... that's more about actually feeling someone else's pain. More or less.
But let's be real, that’s tough to do. So we end up just feeling bad for people, which doesn't really "cost" us much effort.

Why did I suddenly think of Soraja? 😁

Rachel Bishop said:It’s not about banging your head against a wall... it’s about trying to force your way through one. And honestly? Nobody is immune to that, no matter how old they get.
Picture this: we dream up these "fixes," hammer away at them fruitlessly, until we finally realize we need a totally different approach. That right there? That’s the root of almost everything—from heartbreak and messy breakups to those dark marriage issues, business failures, and just general life chaos. 😉

Spot on.
That’s exactly my take. I actually ran into something recently where forcing my way through that "wall" just wasn't even an option, no matter how hard I tried.

Something happened deep down that just doesn't square with reality. There aren't any solutions out there, period. None exist.

The truth is, even if we weren't getting older, a solution wouldn't exist either. But hey, people love to lie to themselves, don't they?
That’s the kicker. Experience just helps you see the illusion for what it is... that "solution" isn't happening, at least not in this lifetime. 😛

Giving up on banging your head against a wall usually starts getting easier as you get older.
At least, that’s how it feels to me. 🙂

Doesn't apply to trying new things, though. I've still got plenty of curiosity left in the tank! 😁
Let's vote for a Psychology subforum! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It’s like once you start sharing, there’s just no stopping. It never ends!

If I remember right, the big boss really threw a fit when they tried to label psychology as just a branch of philosophy. Or was it the other way around?

It’s the same deal with astrology and all that stuff—it's everywhere, yet it somehow doesn't count for anything in this corner of the internet.

Maybe we could do Philosophy and psychology... but make psychology its own subforum? Kind of like how Spirituality sits under Religion?
Mixing things up in Spirituality ·
I’m one of those people who blends in, though my formula keeps shifting as things evolve.🙂

Success in blending depends entirely on whether you believe in the other person you're projecting onto.

We saw this play out plenty of times during our own war, and honestly, so many marriages fall apart because of that exact same mindset.

I could probably write an entire book about it, especially since my own "blending" worked—either because of or despite finally getting smart about how different personalities clash.

But let's face it: most of us just don't want to hear the truth when emotions are running high.
Just feeling empty... in Philosophy ·
Look, I just don't have expectations, hopes, fears, or illusions. None of those messy emotions that make people suffer. Honestly, you're only truly free when you stop wanting things. People end up being their own jailers, and because of their own weaknesses, they drag everyone else down with them—even when they don't mean to.

So what’s left? Just going through the motions?
I’ve got no expectations, no hopes, no fears, no illusions... none of those heavy emotions that cause all the heartache. Well, until one day someone hits a nerve I thought was dead and gone. And suffering? Man, after everything felt empty, that pain actually felt like a treasure once I realized what it meant. If you drain yourself of all emotion, even the painful stuff, you’re just left idling. And that’s just a different kind of misery, isn't it?

Surrendering your desires to Quincy is still an emotion, right? It takes "discipline"... which means there's still desire involved. That totally detached state is super rare; those people are a special breed... basically saints.

A person without any desires (not even the subconscious ones) only exists because they haven't fully faced their true self yet. They don't realize how much they're still hiding from themselves. Whether they ever figure it out or not? That’s not entirely up to them...
