Just to clear things up, you don't really have "drivers" for software. Drivers are just the programs that let hardware talk to the system.
There's no such thing as a driver for software.
Software is built for a specific operating system, so if an app is designed only for the latest version, it’s probably not going to run on older ones.
Plus, both hardware and software companies want you to buy their new stuff, so they aren't exactly incentivized to support outdated operating systems. Makes sense, I guess.

Nicole Gomez78 said:We tried everything, and honestly, it was a struggle because we didn't even have internet access. We even tried using another PC on the network, but nothing worked. There aren't any repair shops around here since we live in the middle of nowhere, unfortunately. That's why we were trying to find help this way. Anyway, long story short, we fixed it by just creating a new user account, and surprisingly, the browsers work fine there.

Maybe a System Restore to an earlier date would work, assuming system protection is actually turned on.
restlessbison20 said:So I've got this Samsung Galaxy S23. We turned it off last night with about 50% battery left, but this morning it just won't stay on. It tries to boot up for a few seconds, then shuts down and restarts in a loop. I looked up how to do a hard reset and tried the reboot option. Everything seems fine until the part where it asks me to connect to Wi-Fi. As soon as it connects, the phone dies. I tried skipping the Wi-Fi step entirely, which keeps the phone running, but obviously, it's useless without internet. Any ideas on how to fix this?🕺

I'd say just reach out to their customer service or tech support, especially since they have an official office here in the States.
They'll probably be your best bet for fixing this.

I mean, if everything is working fine, I’d just leave it be. You could always try deleting that corrupted account, but that's really on you .

Maybe try booting into Safe Mode? Just tap F8 when you start up the PC, then you should be able to grab that Outlook.pst file—where all your emails are stored—and move it somewhere safe.

Edward Allen36 said:I thought it was weird too. Some guy helping me install Windows was staring at the screen in total confusion because the progress hit the 90% mark and then suddenly started deleting programs, almost like they were causing the issue. 🤷

It seems a bit sketchy if you aren't even doing anything specific on your PC and some random background process is still pinning the CPU at 90-100%. I guess it could just be a backup running, or maybe a Trojan is eating up your resources and slowing everything down.
I guess it’s pretty standard for the CPU to hit those high numbers when you're doing stuff like gaming or video decoding... maybe just how things work. 😉
I guess the CPU is one of the most reliable parts in a PC, so you probably don't need to sweat it too much...

Any idea how to fix this? I checked my RAM and there aren't any errors, so I have no clue why I'm hitting this Blue Screen of Death.🤷

Maybe check this out, might help you out a bit:

Joshua Cruz74 said:I used Blue Screen View to track down what's causing this Blue Screen of Death. It points to ntoskrnl.exe in System32. I ran a scan and it's clean, but the error says it's a Memory Management issue. Any idea how to fix this mess? I don't want to believe it's a hardware problem, and honestly, I really don't feel like reinstalling everything since I have so many programs installed.

Maybe try a system Restore.

Or just Google "ntoskrnl.exe" and see if any fixes pop up.

Maybe try running a system Restore to a date before you installed that problematic Microsoft Office. If that error keeps popping up, it might just be a hardware issue.

Joshua Cruz74 said:Hey everyone, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and for the last three days, I've been getting hit with the Blue Screen of Death. It shows stop:0x00000024. I have no clue how to fix this, so if anyone knows what's up, please help. It's pretty annoying since it just pops up out of nowhere. I already tried RegCure and a few other repair tools, but nothing seems to work. I really need a solid solution.

This error usually means there's an issue with the hard drive or memory. 😢

No worries, anytime 😉

It might be easiest to just use that "Windows Easy Transfer" tool built into Windows. You can pick exactly what you want to back up, and then once Windows 7 is all set up, just run it again to pull your stuff—emails, contacts, docs, whatever

rustywalker17 said:I've got Windows 7 on two machines already, and now I'm looking at a third one. I’d love to install it there too, but I don't really want to go out and buy a whole physical DVD just for the installer—I just want the product key, something official. Does anyone know if there's a shop where you can just pick up the codes?

I guess you might be looking for a Get Genuine Kit...
You can probably find more info about that on the Microsoft site.

Though, honestly, it's probably easiest to just grab an official license 🤷

Amanda White82 said:Thanks😁

Is there a way to swap the letters back? The DVD drive grabbed the D drive, so now my partition is stuck as E, I guess.

Right where you were when you formatted the disk, just right-click the DVD drive, hit "Change Drive Letter or Path...", and pick a different letter from the list.
Then you can do the exact same thing for that "missing" partition and assign it the D letter. 🙂

Amanda White82 said:So🙈, I'm running into the same issue I had a few months back🤣

Only this time, I have no clue where to fix it. I've just got my C drive at 146 GB, and the rest of the 360 GB isn't even showing up.

Where do I even start? I think I mentioned before that it was pretty easy, but maybe I forgot.🤣

Control Panel - Computer Management - Disk Management

You should be able to find the missing partition there—just right-click it and hit Format.🙂

Larry Ortiz5 said:but at the end of the day, you just have a key in your hand, and what really matters is actually owning an Genuine product.

Unfortunately, you don't actually own an original product since you didn't buy one. You just have a key that passes Microsoft's "Genuine" check. (The real question is how long that lasts before the next 🙂 update hits.)
I guess I don't see the point in paying $67 for a key if I still can't be sure I actually bought an original product. 😢

I’ve got a feeling this is some shady business.
If you're just a home user, I guess nobody really checks if your software is legit. But for a business? They're gonna have a hard time proving their Windows licenses are valid. From what I know, you usually get a sticker for every license that stays on the computer case.
Besides, Microsoft has its own licensing pages available in American.

Walter Bennett32 said:I'm wondering if anyone here has picked up Windows through licensekeybuddy.com? The prices seem a little too good to be true, there's nothing about them on Microsoft's own site, their FAQ is pretty thin, yet I see people praising them online. Plus, they don't have any visible certification, which feels sketchy... has anyone actually dealt with them?

I'd say it looks like a total scam. That Verisign badge isn't even clickable, so you can't actually verify anything. Usually, a legitimate company uses a clickable Verisign link to prove they're authentic and to guarantee secure transactions and data encryption.
Anyway, Microsoft doesn't sell its keys like that. 😢
I wouldn't give them a dime, but hey, it's your money!

swiftdriver30 said:so I've got this DVI adapter plugged into my PC with a VGA cable, but the monitor only has a DVI-D port and the adapter won't fit... looks like I'll have to go buy a specific cable. haha

Usually, they include a DVI cable with the monitor.😢
When I picked up my Samsung, it came with both a VGA and a DVI cable.

If you didn't get one, I guess your only real option is to just grab a cable that works.
