The moderator is just spamming now.

Now he'll probably claim it was Nicole's fault he couldn't get any decent results.

I’m expecting you to throw in another Indian girl. It doesn't have to be that one Formula 1 girl from the intro. You could even go with Latika from Slumdog Millionaire.
Man, they have over a billion of them, and you choose to focus on just one single thing—Formula 1.

The race?
Whatever. I honestly couldn't care less. If Alonso actually pulls off a win, maybe I'll feel a tiny spark of interest, but that's about it. I'm not even going to flinch if Hamilton ends up wrecking Sergio Perez again.
Let them fight for the prestige. I couldn't care less about who actually walks away with the win.

External SSD recommendations? in Computer Peripherals ·
Lik just ordered (already paid, too, so I'm hoping it actually shows up) a 64 GB Transcend drive for $667! 🙏
He’s acting like I should be grateful I even found someone capable of sourcing it. Honestly, I’ll take the win.

I’ve got a patient asking me to track down an external SSD for them.

I already checked with Micro Center, AMD, and Best Buy, but they’re all out of stock.

Does anyone here know where I can actually find one of these drives available in the US?

Jenson Button was absolutely clinical today.
What really struck me was how he went after that win without any hesitation. From lights out to the checkered flag, he didn't blink. Even after jumping into the lead during the pit stops, nobody even breathed down his neck. Seriously impressive stuff.

Fernando Alonso took second, which caught me a little off guard. Aside from a relaxed Sebastian Vettel, we’ve got a Red Bull and a McLaren trailing behind him, which makes that podium finish look a lot more legitimate. Well done!

Michael Schumacher put in a hell of a drive to secure that spot, especially considering the car is a bit of a lemon. He's clearly getting better. Props to him.

Case closed.
Neither Sebastian Vettel nor Red Bull had a single thing to complain about today. The competition—meaning the fans—really shouldn't start making sweeping generalizations based on this performance.

Next up are the prestige races (though they serve as testing grounds, too).

Felipe Massa went after Hemoš. 🤣
Those two are just cut from the same cloth. They deserve each other.😂

A typical English headline.
They hit you right in the head, leave you reeling, and then conveniently forget to mention why.
I read that, and honestly, I’d say Felipe Massa was the only one who didn't get a single thing wrong.

If the roles had been reversed in today's incident, Felipe Massa probably wouldn't have survived the fallout. He would've spent the rest of his life trying to defend himself against those accusations.
It’s honestly pretty funny how much the FIA seems to favor the guy who actually called them out for racial discrimination.

Button, seriously, bravo, bravo, bravo!!!
Alonso, bravo, bravo!!

Vettel and his crew, congrats to you all!!!

I guess I'd drop anyone who can't pull off a fast lap by ten positions; just a total mess. 🙄

Maybe Vettel crashes tomorrow so I don't have to listen to him screaming, thanking the crew, and all that PR stuff 🙂 maybe Hamilton loses a duel with Deda and ends up crying again 🤣 I'm hoping for a Button win, an Alonso podium, and that Kamui finds his rhythm. 🤣

🤷
Tomorrow's screaming, thank-yous, and PR circus will be legendary. It's worth recording, because people will still be watching and listening to this years from now.

Yesterday, by some stroke of bad luck, I ended up watching qualifying on RTL. After a massive commercial break, they played clips of Schumacher clinching the title back in 2000 (with Ferrari, obviously) at Suzuka. I can't even describe the wave of nostalgia that hit me 🙂 (honestly, I was close to tears).
Watch it. Enjoy it. And remember. These are the moments that make history.🙏

Button really squeezed every ounce of performance out of his car today, though one has to admit that sometimes a little bit of luck is just part of the game;

http://en.espnf1.com/japan/motorsport/story/60888.html

The reason I find Vettel so grating is becoming even clearer now; he’s actually bragging about taking first place despite having a crash yesterday;

http://en.espnf1.com/japan/motorsport/story/60881.html

There’s no bragging involved here. The guy is absolutely right.
Sure, he’s been dominant all season, but every single race is a whole different beast.
Down at Indianapolis, Button was the one running the show through all the practice sessions, so I don't see why Vettel's new pole position shouldn't be considered a win.
It would be an achievement even if his car were predictably dominant, but grabbing pole under these less-than-ideal conditions? That just makes the success look even bigger.

And honestly, none of that really matters. We're celebrating the championship here!!! Hey, a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Grand Prix of Japan (Indianapolis) 10/09/2011 in Formula 1 ·
Setting aside all those wild starting speculations for a second, what am I actually looking forward to seeing unfold?

First and most importantly, celebrating Vettel's title!

Second, can McLaren finally pull off a win?

Third, how is that internal battle at McLaren going to play out?

As for Ferrari? Honestly, just holding onto their starting positions by the finish line would be a win. A podium would be the real dream.

The rest? It'll be Michael and Kamui.

I wouldn't mind having a bit of that stubbornness myself. 😁

Honestly, I think Hamilton is the last person on earth who should be playing hardball in those opening laps. Even if he’s sitting back in fifth, sixth, or even eighth, he's got more than enough pace to hunt everyone down and take the win by the end.

has a massive shot at this race😍😍 😍

and he's looking at the win 👋

He’s the only one starting on hard tires, plus he still has one fresh soft left over😁

Massa and Hamilton lined up right next to each other on the grid. 🙂.
Felipe usually plays it gentle and polite at the start, but I get the feeling he’s got a real grudge against Lewis right now. I really hope he doesn't show him an inch of mercy.

If Hamilton pulls off one of those brilliant starts he’s been showing lately, he might just have Kamui in his sights. Not that Kamui actually stands a chance here, obviously, but those first two laps can get messy fast. You need a cool head if you want to survive them.

William Bennett53 said:I don't see where Button could possibly go, given his current form, other than Ferrari or Red Bull. However, Red Bull seems like a questionable choice considering they already have far too many drivers crowded into their camp. Not to mention the fact that Sebastian Vettel, much like Fernando Alonso, doesn't handle internal team rivalry particularly well. Ferrari, on the other hand, is desperate for a top-tier driver and would be a logical choice if he truly wants to switch teams; yet, one has to wonder what happens if Button starts treating Alonso the way he’s treating Hamilton this year...

All things considered, from my perspective, it seems best for Button to stay right where he is. I suspect all this tension regarding the contract and the threats of leaving are merely leverage for negotiations. Then again, wasn't that exactly how things looked at the end of '09 with Brawn?

The current setup puts Button in a great spot, giving him some serious—and well-earned—leverage in talks.

He’s an incredibly fast driver who needs a quick car if he wants to stay at the top. Right now, he’s got it. Honestly, I don't even think the drivers are pushing the McLaren to its absolute limit in these last few races. That car is more than ready to win. They’ve clearly made some crucial breakthroughs, either with the aero or tire management (which are basically the same thing anyway), over the last three or four races.

Funny enough, Ross Brawn wasn't even willing to offer him a championship bonus, which actually worked out perfectly for Button.

I don't get why he was even penalized. It was a bad call, a racing incident—just move on...
They are totally overdoing it with these penalties. Like someone else mentioned, at this rate, they'll be penalizing drivers just for failing to maintain a specific following distance!🤮
And yeah, I'm just waiting for them to hand Grandpa a five-place grid penalty at the next race—now that would be a real hit.🙄

As for that news from RTL's...🤦
Nowadays, it feels like absolutely anyone can write the news...🙄 He managed to survive.🤦

Of course it was a racing incident. You're right.
I guess I should actually be happy with how things played out. Even with a faster car, Hamilton still ended up finishing behind Alonso. Again. In chess terms, who wouldn't take the sacrifice of a knight—or maybe a rook, if we're being honest?😁Is he playing for the win or just babysitting Hamilton? Honestly, Massa’s position isn't even that big of a deal. It’s hardly a tragedy that he ended up where he did instead of grabbing sixth.

I’m still not happy about it. Honestly, nothing gets under my skin more than people who constantly cross the line. Or those drivers who see a yellow light and just lift off the throttle instead of actually hitting the brakes. Figuratively speaking, I'm talking about Lewis Hamilton. He's a total traffic delinquent.

Look, I’m just saying—it wouldn't be such a big deal if that racing incident was just a one-off.
The real problem is when you already know it’s just a matter of time before things go south—and you know exactly who's going to cause the mess.
Lewis is beyond saving. Honestly, that's just how it is now. I should probably be happy about it, since he's driving for such a massive rival, but it doesn't really change much.
Someone else needs to take a crack at this.

Anyway, almost immediately after the race—we’re talking as early as yesterday and today—his die-hard supporters and inner circle are already out in force, preaching about how much Lewis Hamilton needs a total mindset shift. It’s pretty telling.

Is it purely a result of his growing experience, or perhaps just the benefit of having less pressure on the title since someone else already has it in their sights? 🙏

That being said, Jenson Button also shut down his critics. I think we should stop the habit of trying to pigeonhole him alongside names like Massa or Webber. Bravo, Jenson! 🙏 🙏

Jenson Button
Flawless driving, too. Honestly, I’m a sucker for that kind of class.
This is probably turning into a total nightmare for Hamilton.

I don't know how many of us actually took TBF seriously when he kept rambling about Jenson Button’s supposed standing within the team. The outcome of these negotiations will settle things pretty quickly. That one-year deal he’s supposedly pushing for smells like a desperate attempt to squeeze out the competition—and let's be honest, there are very few people left with enough cash to actually pay him.

Flawless. Dominant. Smooth. Just plain undeniable. Great job by the kid—qualifying, the start, the race itself... everything was masterclass level. 🙏
I'm rooting for him to hit Schumacher's 2002 or 2004 numbers by the end of the season!

It’s wild how much things have changed since 2010, both in terms of the driver and the team setup (they're almost looking like Ferrari again 😁).
What a boring 🤷 season it's been, yet somehow I'm enjoying this more and more.
This synergy between the driver and the car is getting close to what Formula 1 is supposed to look like at its best.

stormybadger8 said:Look, I agree he needs to chill and the previous penalties were way too light.😳

Personally, I think he deserved a black flag in Monaco, but this incident with Massu doesn't really fall into that category for me.🤷

I don't see any malice or anything else here; it just looks like a bad call by Lewis Hamilton. It’s just a typical racing incident.
It’s no different from the Sergio Perez vs Michael Schumacher duel (though honestly, Damon Hill should have been penalized there, even if neither deserved it) or Sergio Perez vs Nico Rosberg.

Amanda Kelly, calm down with the fanboy rage and look at the facts. What you wrote above isn't even okay, and I wouldn't expect that kind of stuff from you.😢

Yeah, I’m pissed.
