First off, everyone kept badgering me to listen to Ethel Cain - Preacher's Daughter because apparently it’s "so deep" and "dark" and whatever; honestly, it was just a total drag, way too long, I almost passed out halfway through. Then they pushed Perfume Genius Ugly Season on me—same deal, gotta hear this, gotta hear that—but I didn't feel anything about it except that the one track I actually looked forward to sounds like some weird industrial remix of lipa cvasti. Then I saw my neighbor playing some Zvezdana Novaković stuff that sounded like some pagan ritual or something, and since I'm an atheist just like Feuerbach, I figured I had to check it out. I'm really hoping there's some actual interesting material on the full album, because what's on YouTube right now is just mindless fluff for suburban housewives... and man, I am low-key craving some real ritualistic vibes

Their live versions are just gorgeous. I think I already mentioned somewhere that I don’t even bother with the studio recordings anymore—they just don't hit the same. Plus, there's something so fun about watching Ogre completely lose his mind on stage; you can still tell he's basically just one bad day away from a total meltdown. Honestly, definitely one of the hottest frontmen to ever do it.

I've got my physical copy of USA Today right here, and honestly? This article about Goribor isn't even interesting. It’s not even really about the music. It just spends the whole time moping about how his entire generation was basically sentenced to live in some black hole, acting like they won't find any peace until they're dead or whatever. Total drag.
