Look, I’m not really out here bumping Orgy or anything, and I wouldn't go so far as to say they're all that, but their take on Blue Monday is definitely my favorite—mostly just because of how much noise they pack in.
If I’m being a bit more objective though, I think Obsolete Orchestra actually did it better. They took a bunch of old-school junk and somehow made this whole messy mix sound tight and cohesive.
Space Tractor is basically this massive tribute to an underrated piece of machinery; it’s got this hymn-like vibe—complete with the actual sounds of a tractor cranking up and shutting down—that gives the whole thing a cosmic, mysterious edge.
Steve Harris is basically running for his life from Sigurd Wongraven (Satyricon) at the Maiden game against Norway. Maiden got absolutely crushed, 8-1.
I already had my top picks for live performances set—it was always going to be Hexonxonx paired with The Greater Wrong of The right Live—but I totally blanked on the fact that this absolute gem is on the same DVD: Worlock.
That's it. "Keep your eyes open/You know soft-spoken changes nothing/A view so cruel" just hits me right in the feels.

A young Keith Flint hitting the trails for some hiking.
Morrissey hanging out with a cat from the photographer. It was shot for a newspaper, but honestly, it's just a totally normal vibe if you're a cat person like me. Delete this if it's off-topic.
I stumbled upon "Forever" the other day and man, both the music and the lyrics just hit right. Especially that part where he’s venting about his girl heading to bed with some other guy instead of him. 😂
Look, I know this isn't going to win any Grammys, but hey, maybe someone out there will vibe with it. The whole album is a quick listen, barely thirty minutes. 👍
Jason Mendoza said:now I totally get where Deathspell Omega and later Blut Aus Nord pulled their vibe from. they're basically using my sound 👍
👍
If you look under the hood, the 90s underground scene in Seattle was absolutely wild. You had bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, Melvins, Screaming Trees... just an insane amount of top-tier talent coming out of one single corner of the country. 😁

Jason Mendoza said:I think I was somehow mixing up Bullet For My Valentine with these guys, and honestly, I’ve never actually listened to them before. I just clicked on this randomly and liked it right off the bat—they're basically my anthem for the week!
At least I'm not the only one. I always mix them up with a few other bands starting with "My" and totally forget to give them a spin.
I really wanted to vote for them too, but I completely blanked on the voting entirely. Even if I hadn't, I would've ended up voting for Borghesia anyway, so the result would've been the same. Guess it just wasn't meant to be... 🤣
