I should probably get my press credentials request in now before I hit that 'sorry, all press contingents from' wall again. 😁
Come on, man. Even if Flex is a total drag at shows... they basically own the whole US indie scene.
And yeah, shoot me an email so we can talk— 😍 given yesterday's topic and the whole debate about deletions. DMs aren't working... my email is on my profile page.
Do you have some kind of third eye to spot weed under the snow!?
You can't even wave at the Sun when it's actually out...
Ho ho ho
Got a little rhyme for Zelig too
"Saint Kat's snow on the door, pantry knob's frozen tight"...
Namaste!
😁 wow, exactly... those leaps from Indian esoteric wisdom to the scent of rural life in winter... beautiful stuff... I'll have to play this when I get home.
might need to check their morality before I do though...
Check out this headline from the New York Post. See how public opinion gets manufactured...
SCANDAL America slams the door on Hollywood
The implications and assumptions behind a statement like that... you could write a whole sociology thesis on it. And of course, people eat it up—the uneducated masses jumping to the front of the line.
I didn't realize there were so many simpletons on this forum, especially those who claim to be part of the "young urban elite."
At its core, this is just about the fundamentals of tolerance.
It’s like when Metallica played at Madison Square Garden and the Church was against it, but they had to tolerate it (how much they actually tolerated is a different debate, just my two cents here). It's the same thing here—tolerating sacred values. They actually exist, even if most posters here clearly have no clue what that means. It just speaks to the general culture, and the disastrous state of this forum.
Some things matter more than money and the global trash factory.
I’m not exactly shocked by most of the comments here—not that I expected much—but it’s funny. All these people who were busy attacking the Church back when they stood against that ridiculous music festival in San Francisco are now showing the exact same level of intolerance and stupidity toward the Church, which, thank God, actually cares about preserving sacred sites.
Clearly, being an idiot has nothing to do with religion or ideology...
Just say Hollywood... and they start barking immediately.
Timothy Murphy7 said:They pulled all the right permits—from the local museums to city hall... It’s an archaeological site, basically an open-air museum. It isn't sitting in a Church courtyard, and she isn't even using the grounds.
If the location holds any kind of sacred value, you show some basic respect and tolerance toward that.
I’m completely on board with the filming ban, especially if the location is still being used by the church.
And seriously, the second someone mentions Hollywood, people act like it’s some untouchable deity... like you have to sacrifice everything just to please Hollywood.
As if anyone else in the world would even know they were filming there.
I’ve said this before in another thread, but apparently, for most "urbanites," the only true benchmark of culture is Hollywood... while they don't give a damn about their own heritage. It only matters if both Hollywood and America take an interest in it.
They’d sell out their own grandmother if she landed a role in a Hollywood movie. 👍 But hey, congrats!

*vocalist sounds like a baker* (seriously?), *half-empty venue*, *conditional hits*, *beautifully articulated boredom*...
And don't even get me started on how he didn't get a SINGLE album title right...

Just my luck. Honestly, I’m already fed up with the local peasants like rapidskipper9 and his crowd. There's just too much of it. Unfortunately, they really do represent the average of American culture... which is exactly what it is.
What else is there to say when some pagan of the wagons is celebrating a birthday and his subordinates are bowing down to him like he's the damn Chosen One sent from heaven? It's that old-school cult mentality that's stuck around way too long. You can't expect anything better. That censorship will eventually break, but now they've just traded one set of outdated traditions for another "modern" version.
