Grosjean, on the other hand, acts like he doesn't want anything to do with it until the car is finally up to par—basically, "I'm heading to the hotel, you guys figure it out." It feels like he just wants to get out of the cockpit, whether it's during a race or a practice session. If that's his attitude, he won't be making it to Ferrari anytime soon, much to his own regret.

edit: I was just reading where Gutierrez is getting philosophical about it: "It’s tough because from the outside, I look like a bad driver. All the incredible work I'm putting in behind the scenes just isn't visible to everyone else. It's frustrating. I've been consistently fast, so I just hope I get the car I deserve so the results actually show up on the scoreboard."

That's just the sound of an incredibly insecure driver—someone who doesn't even believe in himself and is obsessed with how his driving looks to the crowd.

I guess everyone finally gets it now—how much of an absolute legend MS was. You never heard him spouting this kind of insecure nonsense. I'll never forget back at Imola 1996 when reporters asked him "Are you feeling optimistic after that qualifying result?" —to which he just replied "I'm not an optimist, nor a pessimist—I'm a realist" —with that smug little grin. Basically like, "Who cares about your questions, losers? I answered you perfectly, though." Total genius. Honestly, the sooner you realize his greatness, the better off you'll be.

Unlike Senna, who leaned more into this whole whining style we see from guys like Gutierrez, Grosjean, or Fernando Alonso.
Gerald Patel said:It’s pretty obvious why Mercedes was beating those medium tires to death during testing. I've got a hunch the mediums are maybe half a second slower than the softs—if they even are—but they probably last twice as long. Honestly, I think Mercedes is going to pull off a one-stop strategy at basically every track. Start on the softs, then switch to the mediums and cruise. I don't see any point in using the soft component over the medium, especially after seeing how today's race went.

Stop posting this absolute garbage from Tapatalk—we can't even understand a word you're saying.
Jack Kelly5 said:Nothing surprising here—you’re trying to compare this to soccer, which is just a reach. For little Max to even be mentioned in the same breath as those guys, he’d need to eat a whole lot more than just his weight in cornmeal.
We've seen plenty of "bigger talents" completely choke once they hit Formula 1.

Yeah? Sure. Why don't you go ahead and list those "talents" for me.

Besides, Max didn't choke at all. Last year he scored more than double the points of his teammate—who, by the way, is also an incredible talent.

They're both driving for Toro Rosso if you haven't noticed. Toro Rosso, not Red Bull.
graniteharbor502 said:They totally blew it last year in Canada and the United Kingdom too—doesn't mean they won't do it again. Plus, what you said—they can't mess up a start nearly as bad as Ferrari messes up a strategy 🤦
but we'll see Ferrari grabbing some wins this season

Ferrari didn't mess up the strategy.

Ferrari doesn't even have a car built for first place—it's a third or fourth place car at best. So if they want to even sniff a win, they have to go for those wild, radical strategies.

If Ferrari had gone with the "correct" strategy—they still would've ended up in third.
graniteharbor502 said:It wasn't Mercedes who botched the start—it was Hamilton. And Vettel actually had a killer launch. Rosberg and Kimi were stuck on the dirty side of the track, so their starts were basically identical.

Fine. Let me rephrase that—here’s the real deal:

Do you honestly believe Hamilton—the guy who's crushed 70% of races and snatched up every single title possible in this V6 era—is just gonna blow his start twice in a row? Seriously?

And even if he does mess up... well, we've still got the rock-solid Rosberg right there to clean up Hamilton's mess.

So yeah, Ferrari can kiss that win goodbye. It's a pipe dream.

If you don't take my word for it, go ask the only living legend.

vividlynx68 said:Honestly—looking at that wreck—the only thing that actually took a hit was the car's floor hitting the track. Even the airbox camera barely looks touched.

If that wall had been even 20 meters closer, we’d be talking about a disaster, but this? Just your run-of-the-mill racing incident.

We're basically watching a rerun of the exact same crash from back in '96.

They were right there, even on a track that isn't really their style..
Daniel Ricciardo was awesome, and solid result for Sergio Perez and Williams....

Can't wait for the next race—Ferrari is gonna wreck Mercedes, assuming they fire that absolute moron running the strategy department...

You actually think Mercedes—the team that won like 85% of races and swept every single title possible during this V6 era—is just gonna mess up their starts twice in a row!?
stormybadger8 said:Ted keeps calling them Jordan 😁
—is he kidding or just straight-up confused? Honestly, I can't tell one from the other🤣

Your guy Ted isn't exactly dropping original takes, is he? Whoever he is...

ruggedhawk20 said:LOL!!!! They rebranded Renault as Jordan!!!
Jack Kelly5 said:Hold up. Only a total loser rams their own teammate. It's definitely not Sainz's fault for having a bad pit stop.

A loser!?

Funny how that works—when Ayrton Senna rams Alain Prost, he’s not a loser.

When Sebastian Vettel rams Mark Webber, suddenly he’s not a loser either.

But when the most exciting driver on the grid today hits his own teammate? Oh, then he's a loser.

Great. By your logic, we’d have 22 Jenson Buttons on the grid right now.

But wait—Jenson Button hit Sergio Perez once, didn't he? No, he *almost* hit him. Ah, okay. So he’s not a loser then. Makes sense.
Honestly, for the first time in forever, I actually genuinely enjoyed an F1 race.

I’m telling you, everyone needs to just take a break and skip an entire season like I did last year.

I'm really digging Max Verstappen—he reminds me of a young driver from back in the day.

Props to Haas. That's what I'm talking about! Bravo!

And then there's Mercedes-Benz. Man, what can you even say? They’re just a meat grinder out there. Totally unstoppable.

Ferrari—exactly how we described them a month ago.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with what I saw.
Hail the legends, they await us!

ruggedhawk20 said:Don't go underestimating Haas. Don't forget we're talking about one of the heavy hitters in NASCAR here.

Plus, Haas is an actual industrialist—not just some guy with a hobby. They run factories making high-end robotics and automated machinery. We're talking serious, sophisticated tech.

Alright, someone’s gonna jump in here and argue that since Richard Branson has his own space program and still flopped in Formula 1, the logic doesn't hold up.

True. Branson's product is definitely more advanced than anything Haas builds. But—and this is a big but—it's all about the mindset. Branson is basically a flashy showman. Haas? He’s a classic American self-made guy who built his empire from the ground up. People like that don't play games—they act rational.

So, watch out for Haas. They aren't just "not the weakest"—believe it or not, they might actually end up setting new standards in Formula 1.

And let's not forget: Haas is probably the last person on Earth who’d bend the knee to Bernie Ecclestone or Jean Todt.
Hold up a second, Zvonimir. Now you’re just talking nonsense.

He claimed Michael Schumacher was celebrating on the podium at Imola 1994 👎

Sure, there's a clip on YouTube showing him celebrating— but it's a total Photoshop job. A shameful fake.

Michael Schumacher never celebrated at Imola. Ever.

The only thing he actually did was at the post-race press conference—you know, the one where they sit in a row with the winner in the middle and the runners-up on either side—when a reporter asked, "Who do you consider your title rivals now?" Michael just gave this slight little smirk, pointed his hands toward Ukyo Larini and Mika Hakkinen, and said, "Well, these two."

That’s his only "sin" from Imola 1994. That little smirk. Honestly, it felt more like he was mocking a stupid question than actually being happy about having zero competition left.

But celebrating on the podium? No way. None of those three were celebrating.
granitestag15 said:Look, I’m definitely not exactly jumping for joy over Toro Rosso or Brawn GP 🙂

Respect. You're actually making sense—way more than Zvonimir does. Even if his voice is a bit easier on the ears. You guys make a solid duo.

But seriously, did Zvonimir just imply Robert Kubica stayed out of Formula 1 because of that crash in Canada? If he didn't, he sure phrased that whole Montreal mess pretty poorly.
So, basically Zvonimir is the second guy. And Vetica is the other one.

Zvonimir’s voice is way easier on the ears. Even if he does drone on sometimes—kind of like a high-end diesel engine idling. But yeah, easy listening. Very smooth.

Vetica tends to swallow his endings and cuts those vowels short. Especially when he hits an "E" at the end of a word.

But whatever, fine.
granitestag15, are you actually hyping up Ross Brawn here—or just your buddy?

Honestly, what you guys are saying is just plain stupid. Brawn didn't "build" anything. As if he could build a top-tier team without a massive budget. The guy basically just bought out an existing powerhouse. It was built by Honda—well, originally BAR, which traces back to Ken Tyrrell.
Jonathan Palmer looks just like Mirjana Hrga
I'm not talking to myself—just reviewing the P1 footage

So yeah, everything's under control.
Ha!!!! Renault just went and rebranded as Jordan!!!
Which one of these two is our Vetica?

Is it the guy claiming Toro Rosso is more stable than Ferrari, or the other one?

They're alright, all things considered. Honestly, decent guys—way better than Blazic or that bearded dude.
