Man slammed right into the Crane on his left side—that mirror is basically amputated, if you'll excuse my language.

His condition hits the crew and family first... the public finds out when it's time.
What's the point of doctors tweeting his status from the OR?

Man, you just don't get it.

Silence is the biggest red flag there is.

If it was just a leg injury—we'd know by now.

That means it's head trauma. And once it's the head, it's usually game over.

Massa is the outlier here, and

Surtes, gonzales, moore, de villota, earnhardt, senna—they're the rule.

And you guys all laughed at me—calling me some wannabe doctor and a total moron

Not long now until the anniversary

Just keep hoping. How long has it been now—an hour? Two? Not a single update... it’s basically an eternity at this point.

Once that Glock 2009 info finally dropped—took us like half an hour tops—we were all set.

The longer we go without hearing anything—seriously—the worse this whole situation is getting.

You guys held out hope with MS, too—and I told you right then that you'd never see the Schumacher you knew ever again.

Honestly, seeing Nojđa up there on the podium with those three is just great

If they took a direct hit right to the skull, it’s basically the same deal as Maria Tereza De Villota

It's actually the exact same crew, too

What's the deal with Bianchi? I'm watching this on a recording—missed about an hour and a half of it

Just hit lap 47

neonfox65 said:Joe, come on—how old was Mansell when he finally grabbed the title?

I'm talking about the gap. Even if he'd won back in '87—that gap would only be 4 years. That’s half of the massive 8-year drought Hamilton's stuck in right now.

And just before that—we found out...And they don't even want him—simple as that. He could land at Red Bull, Mercedes—even if he just walked away from his Ferrari deal.

Since when does he get any say in this? Seriously.
What was Massa even asking Marussia and Caterham? 🤣

He could honestly land a seat at McLaren—just gotta pray Honda builds an absolute beast and that the guys over there don't screw it up again with that "let's build a slow car just so we have something to develop all season" nonsense. 😁
Everything else is just for kids and guys like Maldonado—not for someone actually looking to win a title.

What kind of headline is that!?!?

Nobody’s ever won a title after going eight years without one—it just doesn't happen.

Hill holds the record from '62 to '68—five whole seasons without a title.

Lauda 1977-1984 — six straight seasons without a title.

Alonso’s been stuck in a drought for eight years now—it's honestly getting painful.

Even Schumacher's absolute disaster years were twice as short—we’re talking only 4 seasons without a title.

If Hamilton pulls off the title this season, he’ll be neck-and-neck with Hill—not just on total wins, but with that exact same gap between titles—a five-year stretch.

And that’s still three years less than some hypothetical hole in Lewis Hamilton's record—not even close.

Hamilton's era is over—he’s never grabbing another title. History and the stats don't lie, and those two are usually spot on.

Back in Alain Prost's day, you didn't have sixteen-year-olds signing contracts for a seat next season—it just wasn't a thing. 😉

Even someone like Sebastian Vettel feels old by today's standards—honestly, it's kind of wild. 🤣
Man, just look at him—he’s easily the oldest driver on the Red Bull roster... and honestly, age-wise, he’s practically a kid compared to Fernando Alonso. 🤣

Whatever happened, happened—it wasn't 16, more like 18—take Mike Thackwell, for example.

I wouldn't even start counting Verstappen yet—he isn't even behind the wheel. All we know is whether he'll actually get a seat in 2015 or if they just dump him at Renault.

steelmaker83 said:It basically means he's already out the door—but obviously, he can't say that while he's still under contract, so he'll play the part and give it his all... classic Alonso move, though at this point, everyone knows he's gone...

And you know steelmaker83 is gonna flip-flop on this one

—since they only care about whoever is driving for Ferrari

He used to be (Alonso) —now he's just a memory.

gentlecobra23 said:How could you not call Button a fraud? I mean, he’s basically off the hook just because he was driving a lightning-fast car in 2009 and ended up being the champ...

Sorry kid, but I’ve never once seen anyone on this forum actually label Button an "English fraud" or some "DDD fraud" nonsense.

I was just clarifying what we actually mean when we use the word "fraud" around here for my buddy Charles Lewis2.

It's not my job to play judge and jury on who's a fake and who isn't—I'm just calling it like I see it based on how people talk on this board.

Charles Lewis2 said:You're not even that far off. From what I can tell, the "frauds" are just anyone who grabbed a title after 2006 or from 2007 onwards—so I don't see the issue there.
OT—I'd love to see Lewis Hamilton outside of Ferrari because honestly, no matter how many 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place finishes he bags, I think he's partially responsible for the mess. Once he leaves, wherever he goes, I bet Ferrari will sort themselves out without him—maybe by this time next year—and Kimi will be champion.🙂

Frauds are basically anyone who won a title in a direct head-to-head—you know, those duels, trios, or four-way fights—right under Lewis Hamilton's nose.

So, that means the Finnish fraud of 2007, plus the four-time frauds in 2010 and 2012.

Jenson Button isn't a fraud since he didn't take it from Lewis Hamilton, he took it from Vettel.

Lewis Hamilton isn't a fraud either since he didn't take it from Lewis Hamilton, he took it from Massa.

Eto. That's just how it works.

neonfox65 said:He’s definitely got the guts to drive like any other F1 driver—but what's the point? He's just risking his life for nothing.

Everyone loses their life eventually. Whether it's tomorrow or fifty years from now, death is coming regardless. It's inevitable.

The irony is that if you die behind the wheel of a race car, you basically become immortal.

Just look at Ayrton Senna or Jacques Villeneuve.

Then again, look at Michael Schumacher—lost his life during some family outing. Hardly anyone even talks about him anymore. Just faded into obscurity. Sad.

neonfox65 said:What's he gonna do, go out there and die?

Yeah, right—let's see if he actually has the guts to drive an Indy car first.

Actually, thinking about it, I’d probably rather see him in NASCAR just so Tony Stark can absolutely wreck him on the track.

graniteharbor502 said:You speak with such wisdom. Although, I can't help but wonder if they could have squeezed a few more races into the season schedule; personally, I find ten to be far too few. 🤷

I’m always dropping gems

Yeah. Totally agree—not enough races and they're spaced out way too much. It'd be perfect if the schedule was tighter, like running from now straight through April. Just fill that winter void.

Because this two-month break before the next race? Way too long.

And honestly, it'd be killer if they did a New Year's race somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere—like how Formula 1 used to hit South Africa or whatever.

It'd be great to have a race in the US or Europe around late September or early October—Rome would be perfect in October—then head down to the Southern Hemisphere and wrap everything back up in Europe with a grand finale in Monaco this April. That would be genius.

As for environmentalism? I couldn't care less when it comes to Formula 1.
I’d be fine with half the world going up in smoke, as long as they give me decent racing.

Speaking of which, Formula E—interesting competition, plenty of big names, but those tracks...
Those street circuits are garbage; they're going to kill the excitement of the sport.

Regarding the sound, even the lack of it didn't bother me all that much. 😁

Oh, and Prost? Absolute idiot.
A guy supposedly packed with experience across various formulas and different endurance races.
He glances at the right rearview mirror, sees nothing... then panics when he realizes his rival is right there in the left. Pure desperation.
It's obvious he stumbled into racing by accident, riding on nothing but a famous last name.
Just like Villeneuve, Senna, or Rosberg.

Yet, it was also the move that brought massive publicity to Formula E.

At this stage, street races are a total necessity. With street racing, you aren't bringing the fans to the track—you're bringing the race to the fans.

Since Formula E doesn't have a die-hard fanbase yet (honestly, nobody does besides Formula 1 and NASCAR), if they raced on some random track in China, the grandstands would be dead empty. It’d make the whole vibe feel way worse.

But when you run a race right in the middle of downtown, you actually get people in the stands—random passersby or folks who just happened to be there and decided to check out the action.
