So, the Congresswoman and her son... if I’m reading this correctly, they got probation instead of actual jail time. I assume there will be appeals and more legal maneuvering following this.. It’s pretty interesting how they’re bringing up mitigating circumstances, claiming the passage of time played a role—though I honestly have no clue what that’s supposed to imply, provided my interpretation of the report is right. And don't even get me started on the statute of limitations!..
The one thing I can say with absolute certainty is that I don't understand the American justice system at all. Just a slap on the wrist.

Yeah, I’ve been following this whole situation closely. Honestly, I don’t see any real protections for the customers here. All they seem to be talking about is how to make this "painless" for the banks—God forbid there’s a long line at a Chase branch or anything. They’re looking for technical workarounds, but the biggest concern should be for people living paycheck to paycheck on minimum wage, right? The money has to be paid back, obviously. But there needs to be a reasonable grace period. Everything was done strictly by the book, of course.

But I went through the whole gauntlet: entered my ID, paid for the card, everything is finalized on their end... yet I can't even get into my own account. It’s honestly pathetic that they can't fix a simple little misspelling.

Honestly, even that three-billboard sequence feels like a cheap shot at an Oscar-winning film... I actually liked the part where she turns down "love" and rejects her friend's help... It felt authentic, if you ask me... I mean, when you're completely broken and haven't even pulled yourself together, romance isn't exactly top of mind—nor is jumping into a relationship from a place of weakness, if I can put it that way. She really needs to embody a much stronger personality in this film... John handled the friendship aspect similarly...
