The real issue here is that we’re living in the middle of nowhere... It’s like they treat us as some backwater outpost on the edge of the map, way over the ocean. Even though I've sat through a mountain of documentaries about JFK and everything surrounding him, I still can't quite wrap my head around how good her performance actually is... I suppose I’d need to be a true American to really feel the weight of it. On IMDb, you see some people claiming Portman is absolutely brilliant, while others are just tearing her apart, calling it a disaster.
The truth is, the USA basically started splintering right after those events unfolded.
The movie is solid enough; honestly, I have no idea what people were even expecting from a subject like this.

To be honest, I've got a Dell motherboard myself and I cannot stand it. It’s been nothing but headaches since day one. The build quality is honestly pathetic; try plugging in any decent speakers and you get constant electrical interference and buzzing. Then there are the USB ports—sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. And the worst part? The damn thing just restarts itself randomly, even when it's just sitting there idling. Just total instability.. But here's the kicker: the board technically "works," so getting a warranty claim approved is a nightmare. Most service centers won't even look at it unless the component is completely dead. If it's just being temperamental, they'll tell you to get lost.. I am never buying Dell again..

If you actually want to understand what made Top Gun 1986 such a phenomenon, you really had to be sitting in a dark theater back in '86 or '87.. Ideally, you were somewhere in that sweet spot of being 15 to 20 years old—though I suppose any age could work if you were feeling it..
