Hey, I totally called you out! 🙂

Even though I'm ten days late... I somehow managed to scrape together some thoughts about Bill and the smog while feeling under the weather and a bit depleted... 🙂🙂
The hardest part is writing about the people you care about most. I guess nothing you put down just feels like enough.

Wow, killer shot. I actually really need one like this right now,
to submit for the NYC Art Expo, but I don't think I'll have time to get any film developed...

And she’s fantastic. 😍
It's pretty extreme, I guess, but I dig it (for certain moods). Thanks!

But honestly, in this case, I still prefer the Queen of Soul, Miss Nina.

I’m feeling pretty under the weather and my thoughts are all over the place, but I'm trying to get this intro written even though I'm late to the party...
Just wanted to say I absolutely love this guy (listening to him talk, sing, and mumble):

tiny desk home concert
😍

Jamie Davis9, I feel for you with that tooth situation—hope you're doing better now!

And yeah, I guess it sucks that Radiohead didn't go as hard on their albums...

What's up, people?

A little bit of pre-90s American noise from back in the day, straight out of Houston, Texas:

And there you go, that’s how it goes for me every single time. 😳
That intro is killer, though—honestly your best one yet!

(Hopefully I’ll get my own thread up soon...)

and I break horses

Arthur Brown6, this woman is absolutely magic!

But man, I’m surprised you haven't heard about this classic from Brooklyn...
because I was honestly convinced you were some Brooklyn kid! 😁 😬

so here's a little bit of a Bell-style New York stroll.

Do we really need a new topic?

Honestly, it feels a bit sentimental throughout, but man, it’s written well. There’s even a hint of irony in there.
I’m pretty tired of this whole thing where they praise these tiny little details we all associate with Brooklyn,
while simultaneously taking those sweet little jabs at their own neighborhood—I mean, who else is going to do it?

"none of that costs a dime in this neighborhood, tucked away without a cemetery or a maternity ward..." 😁

Anyway, man, my roots aren't from the city; they're from those beautiful areas out in rural Ohio.
Yeah, Jane Doe really did write the ultimate anthem for a club, I can't even argue with that...
😁

Man, I'm with you on that! But which of those Pip stocks should I be looking at? I'm a huge Lakers fan myself.😁

Yeah, that one's great... but what about this one here? 😁

Hey, go Thomas! Looks like the head mod is dealing with some serious work stuff...
But we’ve already recounted all the ballots, so I guess you should just go buy more Thomas's.
🙂

I've always thought this one was beautiful, though I don't have any connection to Florida.

😁 😬

Dennis Hall41 said:You like it. I don't know what to tell you. It is what it is.This is perfect for those depressing Sunday afternoon sessions where I just sit around spiraling over existential dread.😁

Cool, I gave that a listen last night, and now I’m totally switching gears to a different movie.
😁

I guess I’m just in the mood to binge Travolta and some Saturday Night Fever tonight... 🙄 😛)

Seriously though... isn't this one of the best songs ever written? No joke:

The Bee Gees were my old man's absolute favorite band. Seriously, they were always playing in our house growing up—their records were basically the soundtrack to my childhood. But looking back now, my brother and I realized we actually liked them the most. I guess my mom still can't quite wrap her head around it. 😁Honestly, they’re actually great—and pretty fun, too!

breathless

@Jason Mendoza, why isn't this track on the Letovac album link you sent?

What are the absolute best tracks from this album?
(Maybe some that actually hit harder today than they used to, especially with all this rain we're getting...)

Was this some kind of later addition to the studio version or what?

I see there are bonus tracks on nine, like live versions of 'we are lost' and 'ne trebam te'.

OP, Let 3 - Two Dogs fuckin is the best album ever! 🎉

I'm still trying to figure out what else to say...

(no offense)

Take care!

🙂

(everyone would gladly bring her coffee.)
🙂

Dennis Hall41 said:Even so, with her and Lana—as genuine bright spots in the Billboard swamp—there’s still this strong feeling through most of their work that 40 or 50 years ago, they wouldn't have been serving coffee to Lennon, Dylan, or Jagger, let alone signing massive prestige deals.

But why are you so sure about that? I don't know much about her, honestly, but the fact remains she covers at least three octaves! Plus, both her range and vocal tone are pretty unique. On top of that, she writes her own songs and has solid production backing on every album—especially this one I suggested, thanks to guys like Dan Auerbach. And there's just... something else about her. But maybe we can talk more about that in the main thread... if I actually get around to posting tomorrow.

This one , strictly because of the vocals. (Or 'shades of cool' from the Album of the Week)
