I’m looking to send a few small items as gifts to whoever reaches out—nothing fancy, just a standard envelope. What are my options if I want the recipient to cover the shipping costs?
From what I’ve gathered, I could use FedEx, but according to their rate sheet, even the cheapest shipment starts at $9.75?!

Ronald Allen said:Of course you can. When you need to pay for something, just hit up the bank, deposit the cash (honestly, always throw in a little extra to cover potential fees), and you're good to go!

Hey Ronald Allen—I know you’re the expert when it comes to Goldman Sachs... 🙂 Can you use a Visa Electron linked to a foreign currency account at Goldman Sachs for online shopping?
Chase Sapphire Reserve in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Aha. So, can you actually see that limit on your Chase Bank online portal? And if you don't have that limit set up... does that mean installment plans are completely off the table?

How does the installment plan work with Chase Bank? Do I just show them my debit card at the register? Or am I going to be stuck dealing with more paperwork... And are there any hidden fees involved?
Hospital overnight stay costs in Health ·
Does anyone know? What’s the daily rate at a hospital if you don't have supplemental insurance?
Not sure if this is the right subforum for this...
Does anyone know where I can find out how much certain medical services actually cost if you don't have supplemental insurance?

Hmm, who exactly do you expect to give you an answer? Someone who actually knows the ropes—someone working in the industry—isn't going to just hand over their trade secrets or their list of reliable suppliers to a competitor... obviously. As for everyone else, well, the rest of us don't have a clue what you're talking about. You aren't going to find answers to questions like this on a forum.
JP Morgan Chase - overdraft limits and fees in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Megan Booth4 said:Regarding this whole mess with my overdraft... I actually have a question of my own. Basically, JP Morgan Chase just yanked my $1667 credit limit out of thin air. Here’s the kicker: I have a steady direct deposit hitting my account every month, and I haven't even touched my authorized limit, let alone gone into the red. Now they’re claiming it was some "glitch in the system," but then they have the audacity to tell me I have to settle up this unauthorized deficit—which, by their own logic, just magically transformed from an authorized amount into an unauthorized one overnight. How exactly am I supposed to conjure that kind of cash out of thin air by tomorrow morning? It essentially means I’m either handing over my entire paycheck or I'm expected to somehow survive on nothing for the next month.
Does anyone have any actual, sensible advice for someone in this bind?

The same thing happened to me—Bank of America called and told me my paycheck didn't hit as a standard deposit, but as some weird credit. I don't get it either... everything had been fine until then.
Regarding your situation, you claim you've never been in an unauthorized overdraft, yet you're saying you have to pay one off. 😕

I had comprehensive coverage through them once—used it just one time for a minor fender bender ($667)—and everything went through without any issues at all.

They look at it this way: we provide the education, the coaching, and the training facilities, and in exchange, you swim for us....

It's not just a theory—it's a fact. A single year of tuition at an average American university for an international student runs about $20,000—which puts you at a staggering $80,000 over four years. And that doesn't even touch the travel costs, hotel stays, gear, shoes, tracksuits, bags...

"They aren't exactly getting much out of him" 😕 😲 ??? Seriously? Every year he brings home trophies at the NCAA finale—and in the States, that is a massive deal.

You clearly have no idea how much weight college sports carry over there. You wouldn't believe the crowds that show up for games, meets, and other athletic events. It matters to them—deeply—and they will absolutely hand out a scholarship to any foreign athlete willing to swim for their colors.

And let’s be real—that school isn't even a challenge for him... he's getting in because of swimming, not because of any actual intellect or talent.

mellowbadger8 already touched on this, but I'll add my two cents: clearly, none of you understand how things actually work for athletes here in the USA. And let me repeat—the US has absolutely nothing to do with funding his undergraduate degree at Berkeley.

The US definitely isn't paying for Draganja's tuition in America

If it’s really that easy, why don't you head over to America for five years and just relax?

earthling said:I can't shake the feeling that Duje's lucky life circumstances haven't aligned quite right... world-class talent, massive drive, but in the wrong sport...
The guy is essentially a hostage to extraterrestrial talent wasted on the wrong discipline... and maybe even in the wrong country.
If he’d actually kicked a ball correctly twice as a kid, maybe Stimac would be buying him gold watches by now—we'd all be trembling at his auditions, patting him on the back while he leads our national team through two games against those brute Hun squads where they lose by -8... the kid would have a fat bank account and wouldn't have to worry about making ends meet... he'd be grinning from magazine covers, and we'd all know his girlfriend's name, if his farts smell, what his favorite meal is, whether he prefers blondes or brunettes...
As it stands, the guy is world-class—but the media only remembers him when he grabs a medal or when he wants to secure something for himself and his family that he feels he's owed. Something that the big shots settle after six months of reading the news in Congress—something that Hummer owners have settled, among other things, by paying their workers minimum wage (and explaining that fact cynically, yet truthfully—market laws, you know)...
They aren't the problem. It's not an issue if Duje stays for peanuts because he's afraid he won't see the real money. It's not an issue that hardly anyone in this country has the credibility to believe him. It's not even important that I assume 98% of Americans have no idea what the guy looks like (for mali Cic, the results would probably be reversed)—but what matters is that if Duje leaves, we lose 20 seconds of pure adrenaline and the chance to see the American flag flying on a mast during medal ceremonies in sprint races, in small pools, large pools, swimming lengthwise, crosswise, or diagonally...
Hey Duje, don't screw this up—it's about responsibility...

🙏 🙏 🙏 We already concluded once before that men and women are one and the same. 😁 😉 😁

Roose Bolton said:Look... the fact is, Kirill took medals from America when she was already 30 and 32. The Americans had already moved on from her back in '91. She arrived in the States at 26, and didn't even step onto the court for the national team until she was 30—all after she secured dual citizenship...
The same logic applies to Chebuquina, who was playing for the ZND back in '92.
They both started playing for America at age 30—right when they weren't being considered useful in Russia anymore.

I am convinced I actually know more about this than you do—so let me tell you again: it is simply not true that Karpolj thanked them just because of their age. There is much more to this story than what you're seeing...

It doesn't matter—I can see you're just a fan of Duje, which means you're missing the bigger picture.

Enjoy yourself, honey.👋

Just a little comment about Duje...🙂

I am reading. But let’s try this again: which AMERICAN athletes were you actually thinking of when you lumped Dzomba, Kukoc, and Ljubicic into the same category as Draganja? Because you were clearly referring to athletes from much more niche sports...
Duje Draganja: Sellout or just misunderstood? in Other Sports ·
Dana Rivera4 said:I went with these names because they're more recognizable—I could've picked athletes from niche sports with similar pay scales to Draganja, if you catch my drift.

I get your point, but your arguments are weak—which basically makes the whole point moot. Since Dzomba, Balic, and Kukoc aren't even in the same league as Draganja, those examples don't hold water. So, why don't you name some athletes from obscure sports who are actually talented enough to have Qatar—or any other nation—throw them an offer like the one Draganja got? It’s a damn miracle journalists haven't dug up some story about, say, the Skelin brothers being offered $2,000,000 by Saudi Arabia to go rowing for them... hm, maybe because such an offer never actually existed?!
