Is Lewis Hamilton leaving Ford? in Formula 1 ·

I have to point out this specific answer from Button regarding his future at McLaren: McLaren : There ara always other options in Life

Look, that is some pretty massive speculation right there. 👏

Though, if they brought back Kimi, I don't see why they wouldn't bring back Button too.

He’ll probably be smart enough to keep his head on straight tonight 😬

It’s funny how everyone insists Fernando is past his prime and running out of time—completely forgetting that, for instance, Alain Prost managed to snag two more titles after turning 33 and finished as runner-up for two subsequent seasons...

There's a chance a typhoon hits—meaning the races might just be canceled altogether...

I honestly couldn't care less where he ends up—provided his fan club follows him out the door. 😍

On a separate note, I really must express my gratitude to John Coltrane for making that connection. Having watched the race, the whole spectacle feels rather underwhelming to me, almost trivial. Is it even possible for these machines to reach 124 miles/h? The noise is simply dreadful. Perhaps it would be for the best if they muted the track audio entirely so we could focus solely on the commentators; otherwise, that constant, piercing whine might actually drive potential viewers away.

As for that incident at the end of the race, I find myself completely unable to wrap my head around Prost's reaction.

Suzuka '89? 😁

Sounds familiar.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm going to go delete my monitor.🤣🤣

But if I do watch it—and assuming things go well—it should be a great one, given how races at this track usually turn out.

My plan is to have my wife grab the wheel for a few minutes—just so I can focus on the live text from the passenger seat. 😁

Do you realize how exhausting you are? 🙄
I wish Nika had just told them straight:

"This whole thing is absurd. Pausing the entire race for an hour just because of some barrier damage is pure nonsense—they aren't hitting it a second time.

The odds of a repeat are non-existent. They obsess over every tiny detail while half the audience is busy switching the channel off.

I truly hope we have all reached a level of maturity where we can collectively admit that it is far better for drivers to survive a crash than to lose their lives. If I were ever forced to choose between life and death, I would choose life, every single time.

Obviously it's better. What the previous posters were trying to get at—and what I completely agree with—is that modern Formula 1 has entirely stripped the courage and grit out of the equation for winning.

Sure, maybe someone breaks a finger or a rib during a botched, gutsy overtake now and then—but by that logic, let's just ban tackling in football, aggressive defense in handball, riding anything over five feet tall, or even throwing punches in boxing.

Bravery has been a defining factor in motorsport since its inception; today, it's virtually non-existent.

Both drivers lost their Energy Recovery System—which brakes on the rear axle—meaning they had to rely much more heavily on the standard brakes. Once that happens, balance becomes everything. Nico Rosberg managed to dial in his brake balance better than Lewis Hamilton after the ERS failure, which effectively reduced the load on them.

So—Hamilton’s brakes overheated and gave out, while Rosberg's held steady. A revisit to 1989.

I honestly think Matt Massa should have had that yesterday.

First mistake—one sloppy opening move cost him precious seconds and dumped him right into the pack.
Second mistake—he was clearly outperforming Valtteri Bottas, yet Williams failed to react sooner and let him through.

History has a way of repeating itself—maybe by 2028, he might finally snag another title.
Perhaps the most iconic moment in racing history 😬

So, we've got about two and a half weeks until the season kicks off—time to see who actually shows up.

And just to be clear, when I say "finish," I’m not talking about those cars that limp through 90% of the race; I mean the ones still actually on the track when the checkered flag drops.
