I went looking for him earlier, but he was nowhere to be found. He’s going on the list in the next draft.

thanks

fadedsailor932 said:...nah, that's not it. It's just part of my job—I watch these movies in both the original English and the dubbed versions. To be honest, none of them have really hit the mark for me yet (though I will admit Stuart Little came closest)... regardless, I almost always prefer the original version over a dubbed one, no matter how good the dubbing might be...

Same here.

It's happening! It's actually happening!!
👋 👋

Here we go!
🙂

Megan Long96 said:I've been hyped up since the end of last week.
I can't wait to see Bell 😁 👋

Remember when Stuart was flying that little plane, and Bell was just screaming:
''aaaaaaaa, don't run me over!!!!!!! ''
(Or maybe that was in the sequel 🤔 but whatever)

The dubbing is fantastic 😍
(but only in this specific case!)

👋

Yeah..
But honestly, I thought the voiceover on American TV last year was incredible..
The guy who voiced Stuart was spot on—just perfect. He had this slight nasal quality, short but punchy delivery, and when he went into longer sentences, it sounded amazing. Hard to even put into words.

All in all
👍for Stuart
Here is the proof: violence only breeds more violence.
So, the movie *A Clockwork Orange* says...
😳

dustyscout53 said:Yeah, some people just love a little gentle demolition.

Well...
If it makes you feel any better,
It looks like I’m the only one here who actually can't stand those kinds of movies.
😬
😉
dustyscout53 said:Man, what an absolute idiot. I can’t even believe it. Only someone who doesn't understand a single thing about humor, or the US, or communism, or paranoia, or sucking up to the system... basically, someone completely devoid of any brain cells could write a critique this stupid (and I'm talking specifically about James Bond and who is that guy).

If you want me to prove it, why don't you go ahead and name just one single example of actual good comedy?

Well... maybe only Americans can make decent comedy..
and the French too.

This whole thing is just cheap and insulting, and I'm not having it. Honestly, I think "local" movies are just toxic.
😳

So, tell me..
what do you actually like? Why are those your favorites?

quietdriver3 said:Look, I fell for it too. I’ve got the movie playing in the background just to have the soundtrack humming while I surf the web, but damn, it’s catchy. 😁

A buddy of mine kept insisting it was a masterpiece—absolute genius, best ever, blah blah blah. After a lukewarm start, I’m actually starting to get what the hype is about.

There’s even a game based on it for the Commodore 64. 😁

The movie is airing on some network in Chicago as part of their New Year's programming.

neondrifter2 said:You went way too hard on those people from the North America!😲 Are you from another planet or something?🙄

Well...
Not everyone gets a sadistic kick out of shaming and insulting others.

Brilliant movies. Honestly, it would be great to have a collection like that at home.
Gay man, could you actually define what you find so disgusting about it? 🙂

Well,,,
The typical low-brow humor that isn't even funny—it just relies on mocking and insulting everyone except the people making it, basically enjoying the group activity of treating others like idiots (just look at the post above),
A constant stream of profanity piled on top of more profanity,
And those cheap, gritty sex scenes that feel more like assault or torture than anything else...

Bottom line: if someone actually enjoys watching this stuff, they can go wander through some flea markets or dive bars for all I care. I don't get why anyone would bother watching it on TV or in a theater when we're constantly being bombarded by it.
😕
Who even mentioned gay people here?
Why are you fighting these imaginary crusades in this thread...?

With this post, you've told me way more about yourself than you ever did about me.
😉 😁

dustyscout53 said:James Bond and who is that guy is offensive to you? Look, maybe they're coming for your precious world of homosexuality now, but if you ask me, you weren't born this way—you became a homo because of some bad experiences in your childhood. Because nobody who is actually normal could possibly dislike James Bond and who is that guy.

So, in your case, being gay is a sickness, or rather, a consequence. You need a lobotomy. Even if it doesn't turn you straight. It doesn't matter whether you stop being gay. The point is, you need a lobotomy.

Best of luck to you in the New Year.

Melissa Moore32 said:I’ve got "Who Is That Guy Pev" on DivX, and honestly, I think James Bond and who is that guy is probably floating around video rental stores on DVD.

Or maybe it's playing on those TV stations in the Midwest where the signal bleeds right over into the US.
😳
Don't start chatting...
I'm not here to debate topics; I'm here for the movie and the film itself.

nimblemarlin17 said:They had no clue. It looked human. Just because they’re packing turbo-charged processors doesn't mean they can instantly tell the difference between a machine and a person. 😁

Understood. Ready to go.
😳
I still don't get it.
Then why on earth would you choose that specific design for an alien?
😕

Whatever.
It doesn't even matter. It's just a fairy tale.
😳 😁

nimblemarlin17 said:Look, they were actually speaking English! Before that, it was just some kind of binary code that only robots could understand. 😁

If it was just binary code, then what?
Then why was it heard at all? What’s the point of a sound if I can just broadcast it via radio waves or some kind of signal?

If it was all just binary code, then why didn't they talk to him using lowercase? I mean, come on—he's a robot too.

nimblemarlin17 said:Why on earth would aliens—and you know I don't believe they even exist out there in space—have two arms, two legs, a head, and speak English? It makes zero sense.

They didn't say a word.

!

They didn't even start speaking English until much later!
At first, they were just trading messages in this incomprehensible gibberish that had absolutely nothing to do with how we actually sound.

Take another look.

nimblemarlin17 said:Look, man, those things aren't aliens. Period.

At the very end, the actual climax of the movie, we see these bears—robots, if you want to be technical—freeing that boy from the ice. They finally get a chance to show more humanity toward that robot-boy than any human ever did. So, they didn't just evolve from primitive machines into beings so lifelike that people are mistaking them for aliens; they evolved emotionally. They have real feelings and genuine empathy now.

but they look like aliens

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck --> then it’s a duck!
😁 😁 😁

Just kidding

Emily Torres2 said:Is this topic already played out? Given this year's Oscar nominees—with all the Kill Bill vibes, samurai swords, and lords of the land/sea/space—is the core message just lost in translation?

Personally, I dug the ending with the aliens.
😳

The plot and the movie itself? Fine.
Watchable.
It actually hit a nerve regarding my own childhood—how much it hurt being separated from my mom 🙂 (like when I’d head off to Grandma's beach house or go to preschool).
😳😁

Also...
For some weird reason, I kept expecting Robin Williams to show up and play the robot housekeeper...
🤔No clue where that came from.
😵
