You'll have to go ask Pat, I lost all my .psd files.😢
My whole hard drive just died on me.🙂
All I have left are some images, and they were made in some really weird ways.🤣

Just download the plate to your PC and mess around with Paint, Visio, Excel, whatever.

We'll just have to wait for Pat.😬

She hasn't even finished making the podiums for the championship yet.🙂

Kam has gone MIA.😕 🤷

I noticed MAXYM hasn't sent over an offer or a response for the second race in a row now.

Come on, just send it over so I can actually see what we're dealing with here.

man, you gotta pick a different color for 1st place 😳, because right now it looks exactly like the color for 3rd, and that’s just totally pointless 🙂
also, why on earth are 7th and 8th marked in red when neither of them is even getting relegated from the league (at least not like that) 😕

and I see you finally cleaned up the schedule so it isn't such a blurry mess anymore 👍

stormybadger8 said:Look, as the director of this competition, I think we seriously need to update this specific rule:

We should change it to match our general subforum rules:

I’m voting for this change.
Other directors and moderators, please cast your votes.
That means Sepa, Pangloss, and WayOut.

Nah, absolutely not, because the moderators basically have immunity so they can't actually get hit with cards or banned.

So, are we actually looking at a fix for this anytime soon, or am I just shouting into the void here?
Reddit F1 Super League 2012 in Formula 1 ·
I voted for the "new rules with amendments"

And honestly, it was all because of this:
9. If a competitor fails to respond to an offer or sends their response after the deadline, their opponent automatically gets the maximum number of main and total points, which is: 2 main points and 15 secondary points.
If a competitor doesn't send a response during the third round of the competition, or somehow submits an invalid response, and there's reasonable suspicion that they're doing it just to help another competitor move up the ranks, a penalty will be issued not just for them, but also for the competitor who gained the point advantage from that action. The penalty will be decided by the tournament directors and the F1 subforum moderators through a majority vote.

Look, you seriously can't go punishing someone for winning just because their opponent failed to send an offer, a response, or whatever else.

What if that winner had absolutely no clue their opponent was intentionally throwing the match to help them out?

Like, let's say you and ruggedfox28 are tied going into the final round, and I'm playing against ruggedfox28 and I decide to intentionally skip my prediction just so she wins—you'd actually strip her of the victory just because I did that behind her back without her even knowing? That's ridiculous. 🤷

So, I've got this EPSON sx115 and it’s started acting up on me a little bit 😠

Basically, every 14th line I print has this weird blank strip running right through the middle of the text. Anyone have a clue what the deal is?

Reddit F1 Super League 2012 in Formula 1 ·
So, I'm asking you, what was his logic for pairing them up like this? 😉

You totally dodged my question 😠

Look, there's actually a Berger table for all that ☕

stormybadger8 said:That’s all the smart stuff you’ve got to say 🤦

Besides, this is Formula 1 ☕
The super league is supposed to feel like F1—just like that one kid keeps blaring about—so what exactly is your table mimicking? 🤷 Is it the NBA league or just some random kid's idea?

😕
But honestly, what am I even supposed to say when you basically reject every single suggestion put on the table?🤷

Besides, this is Formula 1.☕
The super league is supposed to feel like F1, or at least that's what some kid keeps blathering about.

Who actually said that?🤷 (And how exactly is the super league anything like F1?)
Stop lying.🙂

So, what’s your table actually modeled after? Like, is it following the NBA league style or just some kid's idea?🤷

I have zero comments on this.

Fix up the table borders ☕

And make sure the matchup pairings follow Berger's table 😉

Round
1 1:8 2:7 3:6 4:5
2 8:5 6:4 7:3 1:2
3 2:8 3:1 4:7 5:6
4 8:6 7:5 1:4 2:3
5 3:8 4:2 5:1 6:7
6 8:7 1:6 2:5 3:4
7 4:8 5:3 6:2 7:1

stormybadger8 said:What are you even talking about, 😕
Everyone makes one offer and responds to one offer against every other player.☕
That covers the first 14 rounds—exactly one response and one offer per matchup.😳
After that, it’s based on "merit," but whatever, everyone still has a shot at winning the super league.☕

In your system, they don't.👎
And how exactly does everyone play everyone the same amount of times in your version?🤣

Look, in my system, the truly elite players actually rise to the top because they get to face off against the top half of the pack two extra times.
Plus, the home and away game ratio is spread out perfectly evenly (if you want to call them that).
Reddit F1 Super League 2012 in Formula 1 ·
stormybadger8 said:It’s way more unfair to let big-name teams play in the super league just because they have the brand, even if they suck at everything, while actual tournament finalists—the guys who actually earned their spots on the podium—get left out.☕

But hey, why not just rant about something totally irrelevant and claim one system is "maybe" unfair? Let's just pivot and introduce a system that is guaranteed, without a shadow of a doubt, to be completely rigged. 🙄

I don't recall ever saying anything to the contrary☕

Oh sure, let's just ramble on about something totally irrelevant just because one system is "maybe" unfair, so why don't we just implement a system that is absolutely, undeniably, and without a shadow of a doubt completely rigged🙄

I don't get why you're using quotation marks there?😕

Not every competitor gets to face everyone else an equal number of times.

Some competitors end up playing against another team twice—once at home and once away—while others only get one shot at being the host and one shot as the visitor.

The whole system is fundamentally flawed because the matchups against all opponents aren't distributed evenly.☕
Reddit F1 Super League 2012 in Formula 1 ·
There is absolutely no way a three-round system can ever be considered fair or even remotely decent. And don't even get me started on a broken three-round system, because that's just straight-up garbage.

Fine, I'm on my way. 😍

What am I supposed to do when your proposal is just plain stupid? It makes zero sense to overhaul a competition format that’s been working perfectly fine for ages.
If we're going to change things, let's fix the actual problems, not mess with stuff that isn't broken. 🤷

Plus, with your system, everyone sitting in 5th through 8th place gets totally screwed. Meanwhile, the guys at the top get a massive advantage they haven't even earned.
Under your rules, last year's runner-up would've finished 4th, even though his actual results only deserved him 7th.
Joshua Newman2, who actually made the podium, would have dropped to 5th.

And all this happens at the end of the season in a total mess where the runner-up would end up with more points than Jessica Ramos12, yet still sit in 4th. 🙄

So, your "perfect" standings would look like this:
1. - 29 points
2. - 28 points
3. - 25 points
4. - 20 points
5. - 25 points
6. - 24 points
7. - 22 points
8. - 16 points

It's an absolute joke—a nonsensical system that makes no sense whatsoever.
I'm not seeing the logic here at all. ☕

Personally, I don't think this three-round system is OK at all—actually, scratch that, it's even worse than that; it's a total joke and it's just NOT FAIR.☕

Besides, with that system of yours, everyone sitting in those 5th through 8th spots gets screwed over, and it's pretty nasty.

I honestly don't see how they're getting shortchanged; if they had actually earned it through their gameplay and results, they'd be up there in the top 4.

And the rest of the leaders have this massive advantage they haven't done a single thing to earn.

Yeah, they haven't earned it by 🤣 🤦
which basically means their wins and those extra points they racked up are totally unearned.🤦

See, if we used your system last year, Appalachia would've finished the season in 4th place, even though his actual performance only deserved him 7th.
Joshua Newman2, who actually made the podium, would've dropped down to 5th.

I don't give a damn about that nonsense😉

Kill it if you want, but it makes absolutely no sense to me.☕

It makes plenty of sense, actually, because the best player should be the one who goes up against the best players.😉
