What the hell is going on?

On top of the fact that Microsoft Defender is constantly flagging new Trojans every single minute, I’m also running into this issue

It’s happening to everyone, really—some kind of Trojan hiding inside one of those damn ads... they're working on it, though. Reddit has been flagged as a malicious site for a few days now, which is just typical... hopefully they get it sorted out quickly 😉

Look, I am well aware that the threat of Trojans isn't exactly some novel phenomenon, but this specific warning notification only started popping up on my screen today.

Oh, please... as if this forum is suddenly being flagged as some kind of public menace—assuming I haven't completely misread the situation here 🤷

I’ve started noticing that several different forums are running into this exact same issue. Right now, both music-forum.com and another smaller, less significant site are dealing with the same headache.

It looks like Reddit is currently down due to some technical issues being worked on 🤷

If you just keep refreshing the page, it eventually goes through 👍

I am running into the exact same situation on my end, though I have also managed to get the page to load by simply refreshing it.

Google is still flagging Reddit.com as unsafe for my system. I can't tell if they're just running on outdated info or if there's an actual problem still lingering there. 🙄

P.S. I’ve been seeing that same warning for a few days too. Plus, both last night and this morning, the forum was basically dead—I’d try to log in and just get stuck on a "site under maintenance" message. Refreshing did absolutely nothing. Even when I managed to get somewhere on the site, it was useless because I couldn't send a single thing.

I haven't spotted anything regarding that Trojan mentioned by Thomas Wells5, but honestly, I've been struggling just to get this forum to load properly since yesterday afternoon.

What's going on?

Does anyone have an explanation or some guidance on whether this is actually dangerous...

Mostly, whenever I try to browse the forum, it freezes up immediately and kills any chance of a conversation.

There’s actually a pretty logical way to look at what’s going down right now. Since everyone keeps getting those scary warnings saying the site is a threat or just hitting random technical glitches whenever they try to log on, it’s pretty obvious our favorite forum is dealing with some kind of malware infection. Honestly, there's no telling how it even snuck in there, but I'm sure the tech crew is already grinding away behind the scenes to scrub everything clean.

I don't think I have an active Trojan on my system anymore. I'm not seeing any more direct warnings, but the real issue is that my brand-new laptop completely crapped out on me today after being hit by thirty-eight different viruses, ranging from worms and spyware to yet another Trojan.

The alerts were explicitly stating, "This malicious software is attempting to install an unauthorized program."
"This malicious software is attempting to access your credit card information..."

And so on, 😁in that vein.

I honestly feel incomplete without this forum... please fix this ASAP 😁
