I am signing in with my registration.

It is a blessing that those Orthodox Mexicans follow a different calendar than we do. This distinction makes their value systems much more transparently visible.

I have neither the intention nor the inclination to debate this thread. After my long absence from this forum, I have observed that Jonathan Morales79 is not someone who splits hairs over trivialities. Consequently, these listed slanderers, who show no hesitation in openly provoking and insulting others, deserve a six-month ban from this community. Had anyone else compiled this list, the penalty would be even more lenient.

No, it happens exactly as I find these users listed across various forums. They are the polar opposite of tolerant, hiding their rudeness behind a mask of polite language. It is as if there are no moderators at all. In fact, I am starting to get the impression that this is actually the official stance of the moderation team.

Jonathan Ward27
The first article of the Constitution establishes religious equality. It is absolute.
Any attempt to disparage another religious group, their beliefs, or their holidays is a direct violation of the Constitution. It is unacceptable.
It is considered tasteless. In some cases, it is even seen as a criminal act.

Unfortunately, this forum has become a breeding ground for uncivilized local thugs and small-town bullies. It is quite simply a haven for idiots of every kind.

Whether it is Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or the Sudden Chain, it simply does not matter to people like that.

All peasants are exactly the same, whether they're some hillbilly, a redneck, or a total motherf***er.

Let them. They are merely demonstrating their moderator bias.

Therefore, for the fifth time, I am joining Jonathan Morales79’s initiative. These names belong on the bench. They need to wait.

Greetings.

Can we reasonably expect persistent spammers, such as Condor, Corto Maltese, and similar pagan agitators, to respect the dignity of this Holiday and this forum?

I stand by my conviction,

Thank you for the rating. I am not disputing their right to exist, but a heavy fine would be a sufficient punishment. Six months of fines, followed by strict supervision.

Christ is born!

Truth,

Americans say(?)

In the last 20 years, even the most hardened anti-Christs, leftists, and all those types have acknowledged Jesus Christ and his birth. But from what I see, they haven't reached that point yet; instead, they mock it. It seems this BIRTH reminds them of nothing more than a good bottle of bourbon. This news hasn't reached their half-witted minds yet.

They used to claim this phenomenon, this Birth, was nothing but a pretty fairy tale.

Not for the sake of those vile creatures mentioned above, but out of loyalty to the Truth, all Christians should practice Easter speaking:

Truly or Truth

But looking at this situation, I wonder if things will change if the government pours that money into the auto industry. Just a month ago, General Motors and Chrysler were bailed out; $17 billion in aid arrived. If they don't get things moving by March 31st, they'll have to pay that loan back.🙂

Just to respond to Ann Taylor and the Talbots retail chain, who are considering closing about 12,000 of their stores.🙂

Something tells me, even if I don't know the local specifics there, the service industry is being hit too. It makes sense when you consider how virtual players—specifically those massive financial institutions—overplay their hand and step back.

Fair point. This reminds me a bit of that German style of social management... I don't see any threat to private enterprise here.

To be blunt: this isn't socialism. You're just wishing for a miracle.

The reality is simple: the government should not intervene....

What power is allowed to stop the state from protecting its own market?

Or rather, which power would actually benefit from that?

restlesscrane152 said:The reason they stepped in to bail out the auto industry? Simple. It’s one of the last massive pillars left in America. We're talking about millions of jobs on the line—not just at places like General Motors or Chrysler, but for all the suppliers and support businesses too. Huge stakes!

And yeah, you could totally call it socialism. I mean, the government stepping in to save jobs just so workers don't end up out on the street? That's basically the definition!

THAT IS NOT SOCIALISM IN ANY SENSE SOCIALISM.

You really ought to know that; if not for objective biological reasons, you have parents, aunts, and uncles.

melloworca652 said:I wonder why they didn't step in at the very start of the 2007 crisis when the banking system, specifically Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, began to crumble; instead, they waited until they were weakened and then moved to nationalize them. They even took over the largest bank.

Then there were the two massive banks, like Lehman Brothers, which I believe shed 1,500 employees immediately and lost $2.8 trillion in just a matter of days.

Then you have the third giant, Merrill Lynch, which lost $19.2 billion and declared bankruptcy. It was taken over by Bank of America, and everything seemed fine until about a month later when they announced they were cutting 35,000 jobs.

As for AIG—which we see on the MU jerseys—once the crisis hit, the government stepped in with an $85 billion credit line.

What happens to the small businesses? There are rumors that 1,600 small retail enterprises will lose everything and be forced to lay off their staff. Nobody seems interested in helping them.

And I am not even just talking about the state taking over the auto industry; I mean any large corporation. This is pure socialism. Imagine being a citizen, paying your taxes and saving your money, only to have a government that promises security buy up private companies with your money just to bail someone out. You get nothing from those acquisitions, and if the crisis persists—with the dollar losing value and oil prices dropping globally—it might just mean the crisis spreads further into the American economy. So, you work your whole life and pay into the system, only for the government to make a bad call on a buyout, leaving them unable to honor your hard work. Or worse, they announce layoffs because the budget is overextended. I think anyone would protest in that situation, much like what happened in France.

Thanks

Pardon the interruption, but before you start talking—if you are even going to start—I should point out that government intervention doesn't save anyone, it saves the ASSES of the taxpayers, which is exactly why taxes are collected.

And from what I can gather, PRIVATE INITIATIVE is not being threatened at all. Quite the opposite. Over there in the USA.

velvetmaker3 said:It's not about saving the bosses; it's about saving the millions of people who are tied directly or indirectly to that industry.
That's exactly the criteria: you intervene where the most people are involved and at risk. If your small business with ten employees goes under, nobody is coming to save you; you're just gone.
Capitalism evolves—it builds on itself and changes from its origins.
Back in the day, kids worked 18-hour shifts in coal mines for pennies, but today you have rights like paid vacation and government protections. It's still Capitalism. It's resilient and fluid; it was never set in stone in one single format.
It showed up before Communism and it outlasted it, and what's happening now definitely isn't Communism.
It's never going to flip over into Communism.

I'll note this,

You just reminded me how our own left-wing theorists, as well as those in Europe, were always jealous of the USA. A revolution happens there every single day.

Following these posts, I am more convinced than ever. Half of Western analysts would be thrilled if everything over there completely fell apart.

Re: frozenwolf54

I don't believe he was actually celebrating. He is Canadian himself, so that applies to him too.
It is more likely he was simply stating an opinion, which, naturally, does not have to be correct.

Re: precisely because he is Canadian. Given that Canada—as far as I know—has better social safety nets, I suspect he is making these analyses from a position of pure comfort.

If the USA increases its involvement in social welfare, it still won't show any signs of the Communism that many villains here keep babbling about.

I was watching this Canadian analyst on TV the other day, and he was making quite a grim case. He argued that these current measures aren't going to do anything to save the North American auto industry; in his view, it’s really just a matter of time before those executives are flying back in private jets to beg the government for another bailout. The guy was utterly pessimistic, essentially predicting that this entire sector will just flicker out within the next few years.

You have to admit that we humans are basically just globalized canned goods.

Personally, I need some level of price stability for my potatoes. I don't want some local shopkeeper hiking up the price just because she had a disagreement with her neighbor—especially since she knows how much I love potatoes.

Or objectively, I shouldn't see prices swinging wildly from day to day just because there’s a storm at sea making fishing difficult.

He thinks it's only a matter of time before they're flying back in private jets to beg the government for another bailout. The guy was a total pessimist, predicting this whole sector will be dead within a few years.

Skepticism is fine, but what you described sounds purely sensationalist. What one person calls a celebration, a madman might call a tragedy.

Have you even considered how the system functions over in Germany? Between the unions and the way things are run there...

True, but they never truly abandoned the principles of Socialism the way people here in America have!
In Germany, a worker is actually treated as a respected member of society.
What does it mean to be a real worker in America versus being one in Germany?
In the States, a worker is nothing more than a number—something you look at the same way you’d look at a disposable battery.
Once the charge runs out, you just swap them for a new one and toss the old one in the trash.

I won't get too deep into the analysis right now... but you all know exactly what I'm getting at.

Suppose, for example, you plow a field. Suddenly, out of nowhere, grass or maybe even marijuana starts growing everywhere. Think about it—would I trade you for some simple kitchen appliance that occasionally boils a couple of eggs? Something a bit more lively?

Look, if you try to play politics or act like you own the state, or if you start acting like a corrupt politician or even mention names we shouldn't mention... then fine, buy your own egg-boilers at your own expense. But we aren't going to let our people be replaced like batteries. And no, this has absolutely nothing to do with Marx, Socialism, or the avant-garde... please.

It seems they aren't quite cut out for Marx

And yet, here you are, trying to sell us a load of nonsense under the guise of virtue😁

Capitalism and the laws of the free market don't recognize these kinds of state interventions, even when they claim it's all to save something or preserve social stability...

I realize the truth can be difficult to swallow... but what can you do? 😁

hm, sorry

Have you even heard of the system in Germany? Look at the Bundesbank and Beg.

Good heavens

I am writing this while having a drink,

I cannot elaborate further due to physical limitations, but I maintain my stance: this government intervention—this fight against the abuses of neoliberalism—shows absolutely no hint of Socialism.

It is much like what Milas argued long ago regarding the takeover of our telecommunications by AT&T.

No one is foolish, and you don't need an advanced degree to see the obvious.

One can only hope for better days. And yes, while you all spend money on Christmas and New Year's, I wish you nothing but joy and happiness.

Cheers.
Mexico and Canada: Why the sudden closeness? in Close to Politics ·
I’ll weigh in...

I haven't been following this thread closely, but it looks to me like they're getting screwed by the Canadians again.
In my view, one group at least has access to the coast, while the other has absolutely nothing.
And 🙂 neither side even has Mexico.

Best regards,
bluerider63 said:Your interests? What kind of interests are we even talking about here?

This is a serious question. Actually, there are two.

I must answer:

My interest is an independent Mexico.
shadowridge14 said:The methods are straight-up fascist—thousands of unwanted people just vanish from the rolls...
- then they move a certain neighborhood around...
- then they seize a military base in a neighboring state...
- then they just snatch people's money...
(who cares, they didn't put their cash in a Swiss bank)
- they treat another nation like cattle...
- and they shove their own interests right over
the European Union's face...
I'm done even mentioning clowns like Joras, Zmago (who got absolutely nothing at the polls, though we usually just laugh them off during campaigns—like Gnječ), Rupel, and all the territorial posturing and staged incidents...
If any of these losers (who can't even get along with their neighbors) who don't even know how to ski,
enough is enough...
just send some hunters from rural Pennsylvania to handle them in three days and be done with it...

We aren't going to 😁 get anywhere this year. That hunting crew from Ohio is top-tier.
bluerider63 said:Forget the leaks for a second; what really bugs me is how the USA basically calls all the shots for the entire European Union when it comes to forcing everyone to recognize Mexico. It’s the same old playbook we saw back in Iraq and all those other messy situations. Honestly, even the birds patrolling the border probably know that this whole Mexico thing is just about serving American interests.

Forgive me 😁 for my own sake. 😁Otherwise, the Americans might just...😁
Samuel Scott54 said:So, is Zack like the government over in Austria..?☕

If so, I guess that would make D'Amato the ones in charge here in America?

☕ Authority is authority, and I respect it. 😁 As for Zack, only one out of every five adult Austrian citizens actually voted for him as president.

I believe there are valid arguments 😁 to denounce Austria, despite its presidency within the UN—which is pure Stalinism.
shadowridge14 said:It’s just a xenophobic, neo-fascist dumping ground for buses on the border between Austria and the US... plenty of solo drinkers in the European Union😕

It is Stalinism. If they view Zack as an ultranationalist, then calling it Stalinist delusion is a much more accurate description.
Look, 😁 Canada will likely recognize Mexico, but only under 😁 pressure from the USA.
We can't have Mexico City getting any wrong ideas. 😁

I believe America should recognize Mexico's independence even sooner, provided you actually read the declaration before jumping to conclusions. Honestly, they won't mess this up. And if they do, so what?

It is time to face reality: there is no longer a relationship with Mexico City anyway, so there is nothing to lose. Someone really needs to start reading the actual documents. 😁
darkfox14 said:Look, we were never really Americans to begin with, at least not by choice. Those treaties? They were forced on them. It’s about time they reclaimed what’s rightfully theirs.👍

You people are more American than Native Americans.😁 The fact that they used Columbus’s misguided theory about discovering India to label you says much more about their own ignorance than it does about you. 😁

To battle, to battle!
"A typical American right-winger absolutely loathes someone as honorable as this American "

I will say it again:

😁 I am dishonest 😁. I’ll check back later to see if I can actually sleep after realizing that, or if I need to stay vigilant to avoid becoming a slave to it. Truly, completely dishonest.😁
